Good news, action/sci-fi fans! This one sort of blindsided me as I had no idea it was in production, but apparently there's a new movie coming out next month called Predators, starring the titular bad guy of one of my favorite sci-fi/action movies . I didn't have a clue until the trailer showed up on TV last night at work. Starring Adrian Brody of all people too...who saw that one coming?
I hope it's not a stinker. *whispers "Anytiiiiime"*

The Adjustment Bureau
This movie looks interesting. It's based on Philip K. Dick's short story - "Adjustment Team." I'm not sure how true it is to the original, as I haven't read it. The movie at least, seems to be heavily influenced by Alex Proyas' Dark City but instead of sci-fi/noir seems to be sci-fi/noir/romance/drama. Something for both men and women. If nothing else, it looks intriguing. There's no set day for release yet, so I'm gathering this is the teaser trailer.

Doctor Who - Season 11
I just found out tonight that a remake of True Grit comes out this year. Is nothing sacred anymore? Next thing you know they'll be remaking Gone With the Wind and It's a Wonderful Life and The Sound of Music.
Warrior 4 Jesus,
I think the Adjustment Bureau looks interesting too. I definitely hope to see that, right now I am thinking for when it releases on dvd with a rental.
Bookwyrm, the upcoming True Grit movie is actually an adaptation of the novel that the 1969 film was based on, not a remake of the John Wayne movie itself. It's directed by the Coen brothers, whose resume is more than impressive. Plus it has a great cast, including Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon, and Josh Brolin. With the forces behind it, it should be an amazing film.
Narnian1, agreed. I'll probably see that one on dvd and most definitely Inception in the cinemas. Can't wait!

Warrior 4 Jesus,
Don't even get me started on Inception. That's a MUST SEE for me. I love the look of it. Huge Nolan fan, (The Prestige, Memento, Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight- didn't like Following and still haven't seen Insomnia). The movie has an amazing cast and the story seems terrific too
If midnight showings are available, I will be there!
Well I saw Eclipse for the premier at midnight (Twilight fans are CRAZY by the way ) and, for someone who hasn't even seen the first two, I really like it! (: The acting and special effects may have been subpar, and the intense scenes rather corny, but the story and action definitely made up for it as far as I'm concerned. Now I can't wait to read the books and rent the first movies - I am officailly a fan. (:

Thank you Lady Faith for the sig!
Good to hear about you enjoying Eclipse.
I'll be seeing it tonight myself, saw first two at midnight, wasn't possible for me with this one though.
I'm going to try and see Eclipse tomorrow. I hope I like it

Well,
despite early rumors for Josh Hutcherson and Logan Lerman, and despite later "official" word that it might be Jamie Bell- it looks like they have found their new Peter Parker in Andrew Garfield. Supposedly this is the REAL thing, he IS the actor who got the job not just in the running.
^aww . I wanted Logan to get it .

don't jinx it!!! That would be just BAD.
*zips her mouth in order not to say anything about Eclipse*
Interesting. According to Wikipedia, he was in an episode of Doctor Who, but I don't recall the character. At least they cast someone who looks Peter Parker-y.
Booky, he was "Frank", the Texan kid in Manhattan in those episodes in season 3 where the Daleks invaded Manhattan. The one with the pig men and Tallulah (with three L's).
P.S."Brooklyn!"
I think Andrew Garfield will make a very good Peter Parker. But yes i do agree that wanted it to be Logan too, but Andrew looks like he could do it.
