Glenstorm, it's scheduled to be released on July 3, 2012, so we've still got a way to go. The studio has decided to go a different direction and have Peter Parker be a high school student, as he is portrayed in some of the comics. Could be an interesting route to go.
ah that sounds kinda interesting. I never read the comics or watched the other movies but alot of my friends really like them. So maybe I'll watch it .
^do you mean in the first movie? Yes I was very upset that
.Spoilerthey didn't get married until the third movie . But I liked having their characters there. I'll probably miss them a bit in the fourth
Yes well you pretty much get the idea in the first one that they were going to get together.
It's even sadder about what happens at the end of the third one:
This is why I felt it would have been better to end Will and Liz's story in the first movie instead of the third.
Long Live King Caspian & Queen Liliandil Forever!
Jill+Tirian! Let there be Jilrian!
Yeah it would have been. Did you know though that
I didn't know that. I have to rewatch it sometime and catch that again. Then where would all the lost bodies of the sea go without a captain?

Idk. Actually they don't tell you in the movie. In the audio commentary the director says so.
Here is a new trailer for The Last Airbender. 'Ware spoilers!
There are some great waterbending shots, along with brief views of Appa in flight, Yue (?) and Avatar Roku (or at least his dragon). It looks pretty good. I recognized scenes from several episodes; if it remains true to the story I can overlook the whole naming thing.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Oooh, cool, gazer!
And, yes, I recognized Appa, Yue, and Avatar Roku's dragon, too. I could also identify episodes for most shots, but there's one I can't quite pin down. Also, am I correct in thinking that I think this is the main film I'm looking forward to this summer. I'm not expecting it to be incredibly faithful, but I am hoping it will be good, especially so there will be more than one film ('cause the series deserves it ).
Some days you battle yourself and other monsters. Some days you just make soup.
Movies that I'm looking forward to this year are:
Letters to Juliet
Charlie St. Cloud
The Last Airbender
The Eagle of the Ninth (IMDB has a really cool picture from this movie here
And, of course, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
Beastly looks pretty decent, too.
Sheldon: A neutron walks into a bar and asks how much for a drink. The bartender replies "for you, no charge".
Proud sister of an Aspie (Aspergers)
Hannah's Scribblings
I saw trailer 2 for TLA (available here) on the big screen today. Looks impressive.
Thoughts on Valia's spoilers above:
On watching the newest trailer again,
The original series had different predominant color palettes for each season, based on its element (blue, green, orange/red, in order). These trailers certainly seem to include that blue color of season 1.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Avra, do you know when Eagle of the Ninth is coming out? (And it's based off a Rosemary Sutcliff book, right?)
I'm interested in seeing Beastly, but don't know when or even if I will (depending on how it is). The book was good, though with a bit of a 'rough' edge, so I'm curious to see how the film turns out.
gazer, that scene And thanks for the link to the official site---very neat looking! Though, they've gone and confused me by changing their representative of the Earth Kingdom in all the pictures. It was [/slight tangential ramble]

I know this wasn't to me but, it releases on 9/24/10 in the US.
And yes, it's based on a Rosemary Sutcliff book.
One thing that frustrates me about Beastly is that it looks nothing like the book, it looks as if Hollywood is trying to give it a Twilight look. i'm still going to see it although I'm not impressed with the way it looks as well as having an Olsen twin and Vanessa Hudgens in the cast.
TLA looks so great. I'm really impressed with how it looks and everything. I cannot wait.

After early speculation and uneasiness, I am now really looking forward to seeing Toy Story 3 in June. After seeing the second trailer and a couple of clips from the film, I'm feeling really good about the story. I was a bit uncertain at first, especially since Toy Story 2 was released over ten years ago and it certianly felt like the stroyline didn't need any more. Having grown up on the first two films, it's kinda funny to see the kids now who ultimately have no idea who these characters are or where the story beagn.

Lion's Emblem, I agree with you about Toy Story 3. It's definitely going to one of my summer movies.
Who's excited about Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn? It's been my favorite graphic novel series since I was almost too small to read, and seeing it come to life on screen is going to be an interesting experience-- almost like with Narnia!
I'm mostly afraid of the director. I've always hated Steven Spielburg movies. It's not that I don't enjoy action films, but I prefer them more along the lines of the Bourne series or perhaps even LOTR. As realistic as possible, please! No video-game graphics or cheesy lines.
But I do like the cast list: Cary Elwes, Daniel Craig, Andy Serkis- I like these people! The actor, Jamie Bell, whom they chose for Tintin looks a bit anemic, but that's ok since Tintin is small and skinny looking in the series anyway. Thomson and Thompson look good, and Kim Stengel makes a stunningly fitting Bianca Castafiore.
My only question: who will play Snowy?
