Avra: Is that based off of the book by Rosemary Sutcliffe??

@ Glenstorm the Great, if you ever see the 2nd two Pirates films you'll understand why its unnecessary for Keira and Orlando to be in the 4th film. Their story arcs are both complete by the end of the 3rd.
I saw a preview for Clash of the Titans during The Book of Eli today. I wasn't aware Liam Neeson was in there. I've never been disappointed with his work (he couldn't help the disaster that was Phantom Menace). I also saw the preview for Prince of Persia. Those two, along with Percy Jackson are on my to-see list. If only I could get to a movie theater this summer...
Be watching for the release of my spiritual warfare novel under a new title: "Call to Arms" by OakTara Publishing. A sequel (title TBD) will shortly follow.

That's the one. Channing Tatum is Marcus, Jamie Bell is Esca, Donald Sutherland is Uncle Aquila and Mark Strong is Guern. I don't know who is playing Cottia, though I'd really like to know!
Sheldon: A neutron walks into a bar and asks how much for a drink. The bartender replies "for you, no charge".

Sony has announced that Marc Webb, who directed the amazing (500) Days of Summer will be directing the new Spider-Man reboot. That's great news for me. For the first time since it was announced I'm actually excited for this project.
For those of you who don't know, the reboot is going to be an origin story that follows Peter Parker back to high school. Its going to be at least somewhat based on the Ultimate Spider-Man comic series that has been published throughout the last decade, and will feature of young cast of "relative unknowns." Apparently there's also an option for Webb to direct not just this one film, but a whole trilogy.
More movies I'm looking forward to:
Tooth Fairy
Extraordinary Measures
Hoodwinked Too
Furry Vengeance (So what if it looks dumb, I think I'll watch it)
Karate Kid
The Last Airbender
Alice in Wonderland (You've turned me to the dark side)
Robin Hood
Shrek Forever After
Oh, and FencerforJesus, I didn't think Phantom Menace was a disaster. Sure it wasn't as good as any of the movies in the OT, but it was as good as any other movie. And I think Jake Lloyd did a good job as Anakin. (I mean honestly, how good of an actor were you when you were 9?)
If I still watched the Pirates movies, I'm not so sure I would be all that excited about the 4th. While I thought the first two were great, I think the franchise ended (or should I say "died"?) with the last one. They should just leave it alone, in my opinion.
I think Karate Kid looks really good (I'm a Jaden/Chan fan). I'm excited about seeing that one.
Co-president of the BGMCA club. <--- don't remember what that was but I left it for the nostalgia
Buds: 5, Twin Blank! <--- also don't remember who Twin Blank was. Find me if you're out there, lost one.
I actually heard Marc Webb was signed for a Spidey Trilogy. It seems that everything has to be trilogies these days since LOTR. There are some films that should just be left alone after one. Bigger and more action does not mean better. So we'll see what happens with this.
This year is looking to be pretty decent in terms of movies that fit my interest, but I don't know any outside of VDT that will actually standout as good enough movies that I would want to see them a multitude of times. We'll see.

Er what? How can someone like Jackie Chan give you the creeps? He's an action/stunt star, not a character in a horror movie. Please explain.
Currently watching:
Doctor Who - Season 11
I know he's amazing, I really like him. He was really great in The Forbidden Kingdom (one of my favorite movies )...
Warner Bros. has changed the release date for Clash of the Titans to April 2, due to the face that they are going to convert the film to 3D as well as the 2D release. I hope the 3D will be good, I'm not sure how the quality will be since it was a last minute decision to convert the film.
The Value of myth is that it takes all the things you know and restores to them the rich significance which has been hidden by the veil of familiarity. C.S. Lewis
I with FencerforJesus about Pirates 4...I like the first and second, but only small parts of the third.
But I'm really excited about Robin Hood now...I saw the teaser (looked pretty good) but now after seeing the international trailer I'm really looking forward to it. I'm not super familiar with the original story (I only really know the basics from the BBC series) though, which I hope to learn more about before I go see it. The one thing that bugs me is Cate Blanchett with brown hair...I just can't stop thinking of Galadriel
Some other movies on my list are...
Iron Man 2
Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief
Voyage of the Dawn Treader
I don't go see movies much, so this is actually a fairly big list for me

The Last Airbender superbowl commercial is online for those who are interested.

The positives... the action looks awesome.
The concerns... I haven't seen any story yet. But in all fairness, who actually puts "story" in a superbowl commercial?
I with FencerforJesus about Pirates 4...I like the first and second, but only small parts of the third.
Same with me. The plot was extremely confusing, and there were too many betrayals...not to mention I was sobbing all through the credits b/c of the second-to-the-last scene with Will and Elizabeth until I saw that Easter Egg scene and saw on Wikipedia that on the commentary
I'm also interested in Robin Hood! I have to see the trailer....
