*puts on nerd hat* Corn is a grain.
I knew that but if we can include tomatoes we can include corn
well umm, I guess I haven't eaten enough variety because many of those vegetable you guys have mentioned I've never even tried before.
I just eat carrots and sometimes broccoli and salads. That's it. And I never crave them, just tolerate them because they're healthy.
There aren't really any veggies I don't like.* **
*But, I've never tried cabbage, beets, or brussel sprouts.
**I used to not like tomatoes, but I think they're okay now.
Mark my words, someday I will think of something brilliant to put in my sig.
okra. definitly okra. AND I LOVE CORN, Glenstorm the Great!!! it's awesome...its BE-Awesome!!!!
I saw the movie....and was disappointed
I like most vegetables, but I absolutely hate asparagus and there are many mysterious Chinese vegetables (I call 'em that since they only ever seem to be sold at Chinese supermarkets...) that I don't like but I will eat small amounts of...they're so bitter and fibrous and icky, though !
I would say my least favorite vegetables are rutabagas and lima beans. I have to admit I had really good rutabaga once, when no one had mentioned it was rutabaga I like it more .

What is okra? And are peppers the same as chilli or capsicum?

W4J, okra looks like this, uncut, and this, sliced in pieces. When I was talking about peppers, I meant bell peppers, which come in a variety of colors, red, orange, and green. Obviously, there are a lot of peppers out there, like chili peppers and other spicier ones. I think bell peppers are also referred to as sweet peppers, but suddenly I'm not sure I'm correct on that. I've never heard of capsicum though, what's that?
EDIT: Just kidding. I looked up a picture and it looks to be the exact same as the bell peppers I was referring to. I've never heard that name before though.

She must confess to herself that she was not wise yet.

Oh, okay. Thanks.
The bell pepper/capsicum debacle probably has more to do with American/Australian differences, than anything else.

Did you know they're finding that people who are allergic to peanuts are now being treated by continual exposure to peanuts? In a controlled situation of course. I don't know if that would work for you since your body has already developed a pretty severe reaction, but young kids who are showing signs of peanut allergy can be treated. You might look into it.
I hadn't heard of that sort of treatment for peanut allergies but it sounds like allergy shot treatment. My first allergy doctor wanted to try that for some stuff but my mom refused because the son of a friend of hers had bad luck with them. He kept reacting and they had to reduce the amounts until it pretty much didn't have anything but distilled water. I don't think it would work since my reaction was so violent and I'm pretty sure there wasn't all that much peanut stuff that I ate. I didn't taste it. Thanks for the suggestion though.
Also, I couldn't help but notice your comment on baked beans!!! If your only experience with them is from a school cafeteria where they probably popped open a can, then I can't blame you for hating them... blegh! However, I don't know where you're from, but if you ever get a chance to go to a barbecue of any kind, try some baked beans there. They'll taste nothing like what you'd get from a school. I love baked beans, but I won't go near the canned kind.
You mean baked beans don't always come from a can? I though that was the only kind there was.
(I'm surprised to see all the cooked onion haters on here. Normally it's fresh onion haters I run into )
That surprised me too. I'll eat raw onion but I prefer it cooked. Fried in onion rings is the best way to eat onion.

I like most veges except what my stomach can't cope with - raw peas, celery, onion and more than a small amount of cole slaw. Anything really stringy is also horrid. I avoid onions anyway for their antisocial side effects.
P.S. Now I understand why New Zealanders have suddenly started spelling Veges "veggies" - they are all turning American!

Coracle, I thought that "veggies" was the way New Zealanders and Australians referred to vegetables. I've never heard it to be American slang.

Oh no, we use it all the time. I mostly use it just cause I can't spell vegetable without thinking I spelt it wrong, but just about everyone I've talked to has used it at somepoint.
@coracle: the veges/ veggies thing gave me a laugh. Is veges pronounced the same way as veggies or are they completely different words.
