@StudyMate: I LOVE Madeline! I can't believe I forgot about her!! :-o We had Madeline on VHS I think, and I used to watch her all the time with my sister! Come to think of it, we have all the Madeline books too..... :p

For everyone who liked Zoboomafoo too, do any of you know if the show's still running?? A few years ago when I was about...... 7, and still lived in MN, we got to see, and meet the Kratt brothers at the Minnesota Zoo! :D I don't remember which brother we met though.... :- It was awesome though. :)

I definetly prefered Zoboomafoo to "Kratt's Creatures" though. I loved the Kratt brothers but I was waaay to young for that show. It was obviously geared for older kids by one of the clips I saw of it once. :|

Barney didn't teach good values, he's the dinosaur of mediocrity and humanism. But seriously, he's the equivalent of Dr. Phil or Oprah but for kids. 'Look inside yourself'. Ick. Blah.

Barney was my favorite, all the way. ;)) I even had a poster or Barney in my room. Looks like he's getting slammed on here, though. C'mon, W4J, no one looks at Barney as a bad philosophy class for little kids. ;) I learned all my shapes from that show. :P

When I got a bit older, my favorite TV show became Liberty Kids. I learned a ton of history from that show...I'm not sure all of it's accurate, however. ;)) Then, of course, I always enjoyed Dragon Tales and Reading Rainbow.
I love reading this thread. Brings back such fond memories. :P

Disney's Dinosaurs was my favorite. I also loved Fragile Rock. Liberty Kids was an awesome show as well as Reading Rainbow. I remembered I used to brag as if I was a genius tot by watching Reading Rainbow :D

When I was little, I didn't watch lots of television, but the one show my mom would almost always let us watch was Wishbone. :D I loved that show and watched it as often as I could---and, yes, I'm sure it is partially responsible for my love of books. ;)) I also remember watching Reading Rainbow, Arthur, and Bill Nye, The Science Guy some, and have very vague memories of Lamb Chop, but those were more hit or miss.
Also, when I was older, I watched Liberty's Kids when it was on and I had time---I remember watching it sometimes during breakfast after my sister and I had been out training the dogs with my dad. ;))
Oh! And Scooby Doo was a treat for us---we'd try to watch it whenever we visited my grandparents because they got Cartoon Network and we didn't (we'd often try to convince our mom to let us stay till 4 pm or whenever it was on, so we start it and then we'd have to stay to finish it, of course). ;))

Some days you battle yourself and other monsters. Some days you just make soup.

DamselJillPole,
Disney's 'Dinosaurs'? I remember that show. I was in middle primary school when it was first on. I watched some clips from the show on YouTube recently and it didn't hold up too badly (I think it was aimed at older audiences anyway - just like The Muppets). It's basically a sitcom but with dinosaurs. Baby Sinclair was definitely my favourite character. Wasn't he the cutest?
