PA, I also enjoy a cappella music. I'm showing my age here ( ;) ), but another CCM group known for this style is Glad, which started out way back when as a 'regular' group, but by the late '80s began releasing a cappella work.

Check out their rendition of that great standard, A Mighty Fortress, on youtube.

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

*glances around warily, then pokes gazer* I grew up listening to Glad. ;)) I now own one of their albums, and it's one of the 'oldie but goodie' albums that I listen to on occasion, and it's still quite popular with the rest of my family too. ;) We all love their song, In the First Light. :) I'm also fond of Be Ye Glad, and You Put This Love in My Heart (which my nephew used to sing as "You put this slug in my heart." XD).

Just thought you might like to know that you didn't totally date yourself with that post. ;)

I've been roaming around on YouTube, listening to Relient K, Owl City, and Switchfoot.
My favorite of the Relient K songs were probably "Devastation and Reform," "Candlelight," and "Forgiven."
My favorite of the Owl City were "Galaxies," "Alligator Sky," "Plant Life," "Peppermint Winter," and "If My Heart was a House."
The best Switchfoot one was probably "Where I Belong," though "Dark Horses" was good too. "Souvenirs" almost made me cry.

I can't decide which Switchfoot songs are my favorite, I love them all! But right now Stars, Your Love is a Song and Dark Horses are on the top.

I'm also a country fan *prepares to be shunned* :p
Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban are pretty awesome!

I finally listened to the new Switchfoot album all the way through! I'd heard Selling the News, Dark Horses, Vice Verses and the Afterlife before.
I liked it; but no more. I don't think it was NEARLY as good as Hello Hurricane, and probably the others, but I need to listen to it more. It wasn't as unique- a lot of the songs sounded the same.
But I really liked Dark Horses, and Thrive, and the Afterlife and Restless and Selling the News were interesting. :)

Princess Anna, I listened to the band Acappella a lot too, growing up! :) Lately, I've been digging up old tapes my parents played all the time when I was kid. Lots of happy memories. Since buying a CD of Sleep Sound in Jesus by Micheal Card I've been listening to every night before going to sleep - very nostalgic and calming. And just this afternoon I searched up a very powerful song that used to frighten me - Too Small A Price by Don Francisco. Wow.

RubyGamgee, I'm going to look into The Sons of Korah - sounds like a very good group! And I do love some of Rich Mullins' songs. :)

Fay_River, I like country too - it's not my favorite genre or anything, but I enjoy it. Some of my favorite singles are Big Green Tractor by Jason Aldean, and Country Boy can Survive by Hank Williams Jr. I don't have any certain favorite artist, though.

I've lived Rich Mullins ever since I could remember anything. My dad grew up on him and his music is so timeless...

I love him too! My dad always had his cd's around and we always listened to him growing up, too. My favorites right now are: Creed, Growing Young, I See You, and You Did Not Have a Home, While The Nations Rage, and If I Stand. I love You Did Not Have A Home so much! Even though I just have the demo recording!

For the past couple months, I have seriously only been listening to Bryan Duncan! He was really popular back in the 80's, and he has some of the most amazing Christian music I have ever heard! It's all so original, and meaningful and catchy! I have always hated 80's and 90's music (with a few exceptions like Rich Mullins, Chris Rice and Switchfoot), but for some reason I really like his stuff!

You can listen to them all here on Grooveshark!

My favorite songs are:
-Hand It Over
-Darkness is Falling (skip interview to 5:00
-Love You With My Life
-Mr. Bailey's Daughter (this one is halarious!!!!!:p )
-Stand in My Place
-Step by Step
-Whistling in the Dark
-You're Never Alone
-Strong Medicine

I've also been listening to the song "The New Hello (His)" by The Hawk in Paris!!! It's so amazing! I love everything about it! It's not on youtube, but it is on Grooveshark!

Yek, it's been forever since I posted here! Does anybody here like Chris Daughtry? I got so excited last night when I was driving home from work and heard his new song "Crawling Back to You" playing on the radio.

sandy: I hope there are other people who like KPop for you to chat with. I know my roommate likes it. :)

The Pendragon: That whole The Hawk In Paris album is amazing, isn't it?! But "The New Hello (His)" is by far the best. I played it on my radio show and it got really good feedback. :)

Speaking of good albums, it's the end of 2011 and therefore time for top 10 lists. :) I'd love to see what everyone else listened to in 2011. My list is:

1. The Civil Wars- Barton Hollow (no comparisons or competition here)
2. Needtobreathe-The Reckoning
3. Rogue Valley- False Floors
4. Bon Iver- Bon Iver
5. Kye Kye- Young Love
6. MuteMath- Odd Soul
7. Canopy Climbers- Distances
8. Eisley- The Valley
9. Jeremy Larson- They Reappear
10. The Hawk In Paris- The Hawk In Paris

I think the best albums I got this year are:

1. Set the World on Fire - Black Veil Brides
2. Memories of a Beautiful Disaster - James Durbin (HE should win best new artist or something!)
3. Watching Time Run - Steve Moakler
4. Christmas - Michael Buble
5. I'm With You - Red Hot Chili Peppers

I also got a live worship album that my church recorded which is great. Oh, and of course I got Justin Bieber's Under the Mistletoe, but other than the first single ("Mistletoe") which is catchy, I would say the album was good, but nothing compared to Michael Buble's holiday album.

5.9.2011 the day Christ saved me!

Thank you Lady Faith for the sig!

We got We Cry Out: The Worship Project by Jeremy Camp for Christmas. It’s great, I really like it. My favorite songs on it are Jesus Saves, Not Ashamed, The Way, and Everlasting God.

Does anybody here like Chris Daughtry?

Bit late, I know. A friend got my brother into Daughtry, and so he has two cd's. I haven't listened to them enough, but I really like what I've heard by them. He has a really nice voice, and I like all the songs I've heard. :)
Lots of new CD's in my family, for Christmas. I have so so so much to listen to! :P I got Five for Fighting (by FfF, of course), which I really wanted - I've only listened to it through once, but I was disappointed. See, every single song I've heard by him I've loved!! And all the one's I knew on the CD, I loved. But there were quite a few I'd never heard that I disliked, at the first run through - and there was a bit too much swearing. :P
And I got a Relient K CD (tries to remember the name) that actually has two CD's in it. I really need to listen to that. xD
My brother got a Daughtry CD, my sister got a Brandon Heath and a Afters CD - both of which I really want to listen to. :)
Anyone heard of New Found Glory? I heard a song the other day, and I liked it - never heard of the band, though. :)

An album I was greatly anticipating came out on the 10th--David Crowder's Album, Give Us Rest or (a Requiem Mass in C) I'm currently listening to it, and like some of it... I'm at "Sound of Light" right now, which is really beautiful. Anywho, I was curious if anyone else heard/is hearing/is planning on hearing it. *is so sad the band is breaking up*
