My favorite Owl City songs are: To the Sky, Fireflies, The Technicolor Phase, On the Wing, Hello Seattle, Vanilla Twilight, Dental Care :p , and Tidal Wave, but I like all the ones I have. I do like their fast tempo and the lyrics. :)

@Elanor: Yeah, I usually listen to the music that my mood is. Or else if it's a Sunday I usually listen to more worshipful music before church and stuff... I sometimes listen to music to set the mood, but usually I listen to the music my mood already is...

Thats cool Queen Susan. I sometimes do that. Like somedays I'm addicted to switchfoot, but somedays(more like one hour!) I like pop.

I can't believe you guys actually like Switchfoot! ugh. They have such long hair! Jon looks like a homeless person! And they're lyrics are WAY too deep! They go right over my head. I don't understand anything. Why was he talking about gravity? If he wanted to talk about science he should be a physics teacher. DUH! The only song I like is their cover of "Only Hope" by Mandy Moore.

I like the JONAS BROTHERS!!! :-* They're soooo cute! And they have the BEST lyrics! This is an SOS, cause when YOU LOOK ME IN THE EYES, I'm BURNING UP!!!! AAHHHH!!! Amazing!!!!

I listen to a lot of heavier music and I'm not sure how popular metal and hardcore on the forum but I figured share some bands I like and see what you all think.

1.Periphery-Jet Packs was Yes! (I you don't like screaming give this song a shot).

2.Protest the Hero-Sequoia Throne

3.Misery Signals- The Failsafe

I've been listening to a few songs by a new British group, Mumford & Sons. It's kinda folksy-sounding, and not entirely to my taste, but i've been listening to their song The Cave over and over again the past few days. Anyone else listening to them?

(Quick note of warning: one of their songs, "Little Lion Man", uses a particularly harsh/obscene word in the chorus; i'm not aware of any other issues in their songs.)

Bought 2 CDs lately - "How to Save a Life" by The Fray, and "Lifehouse" by ... Lifehouse. I really like Lifehouse as a band (love almost all of their CD "Smoke and Mirrors"), but so far there aren't really any stand-out songs for me on their eponymous CD, except "You and Me". I wouldn't necessarily call myself a fan of The Fray, but there are a few songs on that CD i like as well. I suspect if i listen to them more, i'll find some more i like on both CDs.

Oh, also bought a Loreena McKennitt CD recently - "The Wind that Shakes the Barley". I like the general sound of her music, but i tend to think about other things while listening to music, so i'm not sure what i think of this CD yet.

Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world’s grief. Do justly, now. Love mercy, now. Walk humbly now. You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it. - Rabbi Tarfon

Arwenal, I absolutely LOVE Loreena Mckennit. I haven't gotten "The wind that Shakes the Barley" as yet but I'm hoping to. I've heard a lot of the songs that are on the album on youtube. I particularly like her version of the "Star of the County Down." I love a lot of her songs, especially "The Mummers Dance," "The Highwayman" "Dante's Prayer" "Skellig" and many, many others. My Mum is a huge fan of her too.

I'm also keen on Hayley Westernra - is there anyone else out there who likes her music. Oh, and I'm a big fan of Il Divo as well. I love pretty much anything Irish, so the High Kings are pretty well up on my list as well! I like some of Clannard's stuff also.

Do you love "The Highwayman" by Alfred Noyes?
If so you might like to see my sister's dramatization of this poem through her photography!

Great choices - I love How to Save a Life, and I'm super glad we own it. I've actually been considering getting a Lifehouse album - does anyone have any recommendations? Oh, and are they Christian based? I wasn't sure . .

More great choices - I love Hayley Westenra, though I haven't listened to too much of her stuff. And Il Divo is AMAZING! I need to get some of their albums!

I can't really help with the recommendations, since I only have one song of theirs, but they are Christian. :) I believe they are based out of Lifehouse church, but I'm not positive about that.
