Eisley's new album 'The Valley' is being streamed (legally) here for a short time only. Check it out now!

Kate, I agree. I didn't like much of the album to begin with but it's certainly growing on me. I'm quite liking it now. The lyrics aren't bad but I'm also missing the more whimsical and fantastical side to the lyrics. Hmm... still waiting for it to come to Australian shores.

^ I'm an Eisley fan although I'm not sure when I'll be able to but The Valley. I already adore the song "Smarter". I do miss the fairy tale days though, I hope they go back to them... I'm sure I'll still love it, though, regardless.
I starting to love these guys: CLOCKWORK quartet
Alos patricks stumps new album here is the of the songs:
Okay, I have a recommendation for y'all:
Stella Stagecoach is the band name. You can get about 4-5 songs free from NoiseTrade. They're not well-known, but they're *very good.
And I think one or two of you have mentioned Jeremy Larson before? He produced/recorded it and helped out with a few instruments. 😉
[They are Christians, so in case you happen to listen to "What Have I Done", don't worry, they're praying. ]

I was listening to a lot of old music the other day, and I re-discovered some awesome stuff. Sanctus Real songs, random Death Cab for Cutie and Train and Christina Perri songs. Anyway - felt good to be listening to such amazing music after a long time.

W4J: Yeah, it's a grower since it's a bit different from the old Eisley, but it certainly packs more of a punch than Combinations.
Queen Susan: Good tip, they're a good band! There is altogether way too much chill indiepop in the world these days, but they're good.
Elanor: Agreed. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in what's new and fresh I forget about the music I actually like. Death Cab has such a great sound and they write great tunes.
I'm enjoying this project by Aaron Hale. He's doing one hymn for every week of Lent. He did "It is Well With My Soul" first, which is one of my favorite hymns.
It's been over a week since my last post, so a new post is in order.
A NarniaWeb favorite, Owl City, has his new album coming out soonish in mid May, All Things Bright and Beautiful. It became available for preorder on iTunes this week and the song "Alligator Sky" is available for download. It features a lot of hip-hop influences and I'm very curious what people will think about it. I don't have anything against hip hop and I'm beginning to learn to appreciate it, but it's another step for Owl City even closer toward mainstream pop. One of the things I liked about Owl City was that he offered a non-hip hop pop alternative. Not so much anymore. But it's still a good song.
That's so exciting, Kate! Thanks for the update, I'll have to listen to that song!

I'm starting to get into Tobymac. I've heard a few of his songs: Atmosphere and City on Our Knees and liked them but I've never tried listening to a bunch of his music. I've never liked rap and he's kind of known as a rapper and Atmosphere, while I really liked it, was very rap style in places so I'd never gotten into him.
But with so many of my friends liking him, I finally decided to check him out a little more and what I've heard, I love! It's not all super rappy (is that a word ) and it's also pretty hip-hop which I like. It's great for dancing too!
TobyMac does some rap, but he's better known for doing hip-hop. I love some of his stuff but I'm still waiting for DC Talk to reunite.

yeah, though TobyMac raps often, I always view him as hip-hop. It's more of what he does I think.
W4J,
DC Talk was good, I don't say great because I've only listened to 3 of their songs (What If I Stumble, In The Light, and of course Jesus Freak). Toby is doing extremely well solo, and Michael Tait is the lead of Newsboys now. I don't see a reunion for a while, (though I know Tait can work on two projects if he wanted to).
On another note, I've been listening to a lot of Tenth Avenue North lately, anyone would think I've never heard their music before. I even went back and bought two more songs from their first CD, three songs from their second CD, and I bought their live EP which has three songs from each CD.
I really like TobyMac - and like you, narnian_at_heart, I've only really started listening to him very recently. I love Hold On especially - it's so sweet how its about his wife.
And that's awesome, narnian1. TAN is the best!
