Libby, I'm not a huge fan of Hawk Nelson, but I love their one song "Crazy Love". And I've heard that the book that inspired the song is really good too. I kind of want to hear the rest of their new album now.
My latest favorites are Brandon Heath's album "What If We" and Audrey Assad's new album "The House You're Building". My favorite songs from "What If We" are "Sore Eyes" and "Listen Up". But I love all the songs. My favorite Audrey Assad songs are "The House You're Building" and "Restless". If you've never heard Audrey Assad, you need to go listen to her!! She's brilliant. She has a beautiful voice and really good lyrics.
That's the latest music I'm lovin' right now.

I shared a bunch of music with my roommate a few weeks ago. I now have quite a few Relient K songs, a couple of Chris Tomlin Christmas songs ("My Soul Magnifies the Lord" and "O Holy Night") and Owl City's "The Technicolor Phase". My favorites of the Relient K songs are "Pressing On", "In Like a Lion (Always Winter)", "Be My Escape", "Who I am Hates Who I've Been", "Life after Death and Taxes", "I So Hate Consequences", "Getting Into You", "High of '75", "The One I'm Waiting For", "Maintain Consciousness" and "This Week the Trend".
I have two songs from the What if We album, "Give Me Your Eyes" and "Wait and See" They were the first songs I ever bought as opposed to scanning off of CDs.

Hm, I thought the album by Red was called "Faceless".... I've heard it's amazing though!
All morning I've been listening to Josh Turner and 1 song by Avril Lavigne. =/ W.o.w.
I like Josh Turner though, and I think the song by A. L. is really pretty. It's just kinda.. weird...

Well, you can tell that 2011 is in full swing! There's been a lot of great music already. I've been really enjoying two AltRock bands recently. One is Abandon Kansas. They just put out their debut full-length and it's full of big hooks and the vocalist's vocals are great. They have a few songs for free on Amazon right now, but I don't know how long that will last.
I've also been enjoying a band called Halos who kind of appeared out of nowhere, but are already very polished and talented. Their music sounds very familiar, but manages to defy too much comparison and do its own thing.
I've also been listening to a bit of Arcade Fire, but I can't totally get on board with them yet. They're a bit to hipster-elite for me.
On Amazon, there's a free Abandon Kansas EP with four songs available for download. I'd only heard one of their songs before and liked it so I downloaded the EP. It's pretty good!
Speaking of Hawk Nelson, they have several older stuff that I rather enjoy. I recently bought Crazy Love and am enjoying it. Will keep an eye out on the CD to check it out.
I got the Crazy Love album yesterday (yes, it came out today )... I thought I wouldn't like it cuz I don't really care for their newer stuff and wasn't really impressed with the title track, but so far of what I've heard (I think I have two tracks left?) it's pretty good. They kept their word of returning to their punk rock roots while still keeping a little bit of the newer stuff... and the 'the light side' (acoustic second disc) is nice too. My favorite is how they changed 'head on collision'

P.S. I found out last nigh that I was wrong, you guys were right. My brother had been talking about "Faceless" by Red, and I thought he meant the album. But he was talking about a song *on the album.

Wow, Charlotte, most people don't know that Billie Piper writes music! I'm surprised you listen to her, due to the fact that she's not very well known. I'm not a fan her stuff, but I've heard one of her songs. It was actually on a Doctor Who spoof that was really funny...
Rats! I wish I could find it right now. It's been a while and I can't remember what it was called.

Not very well-known in America maybe but in Australia and the UK we heard Billie Piper's music long before she debuted on the reimagined Doctor Who series.
Currently watching:
Doctor Who - Season 11
Yeah...I was just browsing a charity shop CD shelf and I came accross the Bille Piper single 'day and night.' being a fan of Docter Who I bought the CD and havn't really looked back soon. I just love her music and she is quite talented as as actress and singer.

Every song I hear on the radio by Colbie Caillat I just love. Does anyone know how many CDs she has out now?

The only music I've heard from Billie Piper was when I watched her music video for "Because We Want To." Not really my favorite, but lots of laughs were had. Very Spice Girls!
Ithilwen: I would guess 2 or 3.
I'm surprised I had to excavate this post out of the bottom of page two since the GRAMMYS happened last night. Mostly, I could care less about the Grammy's and their tendency to ignore any music with an ounce of artistry and cater to the public at large. I'm not saying that rap and hip hop can't be artistic, but generally not the music that is honored by the awards ceremony.
However, this year, the awards people decided to become aware of changing tides and the future of music (as well as talent) and nominated artists like Mumford and Sons and Arcade Fire. I was really hoping M&S would come away with an award, but I'm very happy for Arcade Fire. Unique songwriters winning album of the year? That's pretty much how it should be.
I only had time to tune in for the "Best Gospel Rock/Rap Album" award. Switchfoot won! I'm so thrilled!
I was also hoping Mumford would win. Oh, well.
And I found it really ridiculous that "Need You Know" by Lady Antebellum won both album and single of the year. I can't fairly judge the album, but, in my opinion, the single is weak.
I've really been enjoying the albums Boxer by The National and Mean Everything to Nothing by Manchester Orchestra a lot lately. Really obsessed with the MO one right now. Very creative style.
And I finally got my hands on some more music by Sleeping at Last! I just need the February EP now and I'll be all caught up with their Yearbook project.
