sweeet: Is it "Hope For Every Fallen Man"? If so, I love that song!! But I only have the acoustic version... Sounds like an awesome deal you got!

That sounds right, Queen Susan. It was just listed as "Fallen Man" though-- which I almost like better without the "Hope for". It's more intriguing. But yes, I love it!
"Let the music cast its spell,
give the atmosphere a chance.
Simply follow where I lead;
let me teach you how to dance."
There are 2 versions I believe. "Fallen Man" is the original and was released with the "Must Have Done Something Right" single. "Hope for Every Fallen Man" is the acoustic version that was included on The Bird and the Bee Sides. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I received States' Line 'Em Up today. You can read all my thoughts here. It's a very impressive record actually. I love Mindy White as a lead vocalist. And the songwriting is great.
I'm really looking forward to the new Hellogoodbye album also. They've really changed their sound in a way that's true to themselves as a band but so that that they are more mature and relevant.
Kat: I won't be surprised if you don't like Sherwood. They are pretty pop/punk, but somehow always end up touring with Copeland and Seabird. It's odd. "Maybe this Time" is good though, as HH recommended.

*Reads back over thread* Sounds like I'll fit right in here- I'm obsessed with Switchfoot, Skillet and Owl City
There's lots of other artists I enjoy, but I probably couldn't list them all here
I just got Owl City's new song "To the Sky" (from the Legend of the Guardians soundtrack). I've heard it three times today- once at the movie itself and twice on my iPod- I think it's my new favorite Owl City song A
And speaking of that, I feel a fourth time coming on...*pops in iPod*

Sounds like you DO fit in! Welcome to NarniaWeb Brisa!
Anberlin: I have liked them for a few months but I didn't really give everything a good listen. Now I've really fallen in love with them. I now see what's so great about Stephen's vocals- I wasn't so fond of them before. I'm really glad I bought Cities now (somehow I stupidly regretted it at first ) and I really really want Light is the Way, Dark is the Place now. So I've been listening to them alot as well.
Awesome, Ali! I've fallen in love with them too! And you NEED to get Dark is a Way, Light is a Place! It's a MUST!
Light & Heavy" by Jon Foreman (if you don't have this song or VV, you're really missing out! You can get them both free (cause they're just recorded from a show, not live) here.

Sweeet: Yeah, the Must Have Done Something Right/Fallen Man thing is a good deal! But if you want to get technical (sorry, I'm a Relient K nerd ) the two versions of MHDSR aren't quite the same. The Five Score album version fades out, and the single version cuts off at the ending. Fallen Man is a great song, though I think I prefer Hope For Every Fallen Man (the acoustic version as Kate said). I like it at the slightly slower tempo.

I like RJA. What do you think of their latest release?
Kate: Thanks for mentioning the States EP, and good review! I really want to buy it. From the previews on iTunes it sounds amazing.
Well, I like a fair bit of pop punk, so I liked what I heard from Sherwood. It turns out I can't make it to that show, but oh well.
Thanks for the recs, HelloHurricane! I enjoyed all three of those. And yeah, of course we remember you. You should post more!
This past Sunday I sort of impulsively went to hear The Almost since they were playing a show in my town. I wasn't planning on going to it because it was at a bar and I was sort of busy that night. But I had seen Aaron Gillespie just post on facebook that he was going to be playing outside acoustic afterwards, so I thought I would go out there (I thought the show was basically over when I read that post) and see if I could catch Aaron playing. Well, I had apparently read the time wrong, so I ended up showing up right before The Almost had played their set. Sooo my mom and I got tickets and I ended up hearing them. I really, really enjoyed their set. The highlights for me were definitely when they played Dirty and Left Out, and Amazing, Because It Is with part of a cover of With Everything (Hillsong)... it was really beautiful to hear the crowd singing the name of Jesus in a venue like that. Afterwards Aaron played a cover of Wonderwall and Awful Direction. It was an amazing night.
Oh, and Aaron's worship album is going to be released March 8. It's called "Anthem Song."
OneRepublic's Music Video for "Apologize"... My brother thinks the video is dumb.
The song is somewhat sad... But I like it. Anyway, if you haven't heard it before, tell me what you think.
Kat: Sounds awesome! Very cool, I'm glad you got that opportunity.

are you referring to The Hell or High Water or The Lonely Road?
Lonely Road was released last February and was an absolute flop. It was produced by none other than Howard Benson, a mainsteam producer for Virgin Records. He is known for his work on My Chemical Romance and The All American Rejects. The Lonely Road neither did well nor was it well accepted well by fans. (I personally find it boring. All the tracks sound the same, they have no variance of sound quality, none of the tension and release which I thought defined RJA). RJA promptly left Virgin. They released a 7 track EP in August which returned to the nitty-gritty sounds of Don't You Fake It. This album is one of my current favorites. It is in my opinion possibly better than Don't You Fake It. I'm not I like how angry Ronnie Winter's song writing is in this album, but it puts a lot of emotion into the music which definitely wasn't there in Lonely Road.
K I'm done. I'm a music snob, sorry (T12 laughs at himself)

I'm really looking foward to Speak Now. I haved really liked all of the singles that she has realeased, except for Mean. That song is really, really bad. I bought it before I heard it and I wished I had kept my money. Why didn't you like Speak Now? I liked that one even though my sister hates it.
Libby I love that video!!! My mom was watching it too and she thought it was dumb.

I didn't like Speak Now because of the way it was sung and the music. I didn't like the tune and I didn't like the way the words went with the music especially during the verses. I also don't like the message of standing up and ruining someone's wedding. Seriously, if you had a problem with it, you should have said something about it a looooooong time ago not waiting until the middle of their wedding. And what kind of jerk would stand up his bride at the alter? Taylor says "I know you wish it was me, you wish it was me," during the song. If he really did wish it was her, he should have broken up with his fiance long before.
From the 30 second clip on iTunes, I thought Mean sounded like a really good song.
Wind Sounds: haha I LOVE it too!
well, your mom doesn't much like the music we like anyway.....
