I'm dissapointed in the new music video for "Brielle". It's kinda cute but my idea for it was alot better .
There is a contest though to make a Sky Sailing shirt though, so that's cool .
narnian1: yep! I'm psyched
*loves the talk about Lifehouse, and "Everything"*
I agree, it's my favourite song by them. And I like their older stuff better, except for a few songs like Broken, Storm (that one was written a long time ago though) and maybe By Your Side. Just because the lyrics were more personal, and Jason Wade wrote almost everything himself. Smokes and Mirrors is basically all co-writing, and I don't really feel a connection with any of the songs.
-I've only heard "You and Me" by Lifehouse, and another song (that I know of) which I can't remember the title of... "Y&M" ^ plays on CCM stations for some reason... At least one or two CCM stations that I've heard. I didn't think Lifehouse was a "Christian" band...?
They're not really, any more. The members used to all be Christians, but Jason's the only original member left. So I don't really understand why they still get played on CCM radio. Especially "You and Me".. they have more 'Christian' songs than that.
Thanks for the Switchfoot recommendations everyone.
I'll listen to those new songs sometime, but the thing about not having schoolwork to do means I'm not on the computer for long amounts of time needing something to listen to so there's not as much time.
My Sky Sailing CD's not coming until the middle of August now.
And I'll be away then, so I won't get it until the end of August.

Ali, I haven't heard much else by her, but of all the songs I've heard I like Cosmic Love the best. It just has this sort of heavenly quality to it that her other songs seem to lack. And yeah, that music video is a little strange. I'll get back to you with more suggestions if I discover any.
Edit: Okay, I really like Rabbit Heart [Raise It Up], so check out that one!
So Third Day finally has a new single, from an upcoming Cd. I've heard it just once and I think I might get to like it. I'll have to give it more listens to be sure: "Lift Up Your Face"
EDIT:
So Michael W. Smith also has a new single out, the Cd will be available net month, September. The song: Save Me From Myself can be heard on his official web page. I quite like the song, but like with Third Day's new song, I will have to listen to it more to be sure how much.
I'll catch-up later, but the new House of Heroes album "Suburba" is only $3 on Amazon MP3! A day early! And with a bonus song!

Me love some Family Force 5!!!!!!!!!!! they ROCK!!! I aslo have currently become obsessed with Skillet!! Disciple has a new albume comming out and one of the songs of it is avaliable on itunes, and it is AWSOME!!!!
joy93, Dear X, You Don't Own Me- Love the song!
Skillet is great too. Family Force 5 I don't like though.
Lark: I picked up that deal too. I've been listening to the album more than I thought I would. It's so great. I think it's a better album that I realized. I turned on one of their songs in the middle of the song and going from silence to the song in full swing was so impressive. Every instrument is perfect and the songs are so complex.
Here is a really great/fun song. Sleeping At Last is a great mellow melodic rock band (kind of like Copeland or Future of Forestry), but this song is really special. It features the string arrangements of Van Dyke Parks who used to compose for Disney. Basically, this sounds like modern music set to a Disney soundtrack. It works surprisingly well.
Random question: What is the longest song in your music collection (that you rather like)?
My current longest song (and one of my absolute favorites) is a song called Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence by a group called Dream Theater (Gandalf's Beard should know what song I'm speaking of ). The song is so long that for its album release it was actually broken into 8 parts, but I took the liberty of editing the parts back together...
The result? A 42-minute-long song of pure awesomeness.
"A Series of Miracles", a blog about faith and anime.

I bought the entire I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody's Business album as one song for 99 cents. Supposedly it works as one song; I think it does. It was a mistake for them to release it like that (ICMAM had no idea it was happening), but it resulted in a 44:50 song. If that doesn't count, then Relient k's "Deathbed" is 11:05. I have a feeling that might be the answer of many NWebbers.
I have been listening to a lot of might boosh sings(random silly music). Kind of like weird al but not parodies of other songs
The longest song in my iTunes library is "Deathbed" by Relient K (11:05)...Although, Gungor's, "We Will Run" isn't far behind at 9:24.
I'm going to see Relient K live at Six Flags today! I'm super-excited! I've wanted to see them live for 5 or 6 years.
Icon/sig by me
I have Relient K's Deathbed on the CD, but haven't transferred it to iTunes, despite having had it since it first released.
On iTunes i have 3 10+ tracks:
1. Casting Crowns' All Because of Jesus, 11:10, from The Altar and the Door. but this one doesn't count because the song is much shorter, only once it ends there's like a minute and a half of silence and then comes the bonus track.
On iTunes one can buy them as two separate tracks.
2. Hillsong United's Tear Down the Walls is the next longest, first official. 10:23. Love the song.
3. Robin Mark's Revival is 10:09 long and it's worth it. Love it too.
^^Ah,I heep forgetting to check out Gungor....
And I hope you have fun! Is it just RK or will other bands be playing?
Thanks for the links (again )!
Nooooo...I don't want to wait that long for more SF songs!Sweet! I want to see SF live desperately! I bet they're amazing live...
Me either!
I keep hearing how great they are live, and it makes me want to see them even more!
Lol! Is the rest of the album really good? I only got "Oh, Happiness", because I wasn't sure. That's awesome your cousin liked it!
Thanks! Shadow Proves the Sunshine is just so beautiful...and the lyrics are amazing. Lol, that's hilarious! At least she was only teasing. That's a great song! My favorite is probably Burn Out Bright (I think it may be my favorite Switchfoot song ever ) followed by Oh!Gravity and Awakening.
Thanks so much for that link! It is incredibly beautiful... Vice Verses sounds like it's going to be an awesome album
Thanks for the link! Against the Voices is beautiful too...as is "Vice Verses".
They mentioned here (about halfway down the page) about maybe doing a double length album with Goodbye Hurricane and Vice Verses. It would probably release a little later than though.
Yes,I think the rest of it is pretty good. It's pretty upbeat. I think DCB sounds kinda like Owl City because of all the electronica bits.
My favorite song from O!G is "Let Your Love Be Stong".(even though now Jon plays it at his aftershows.) Hehe,I used to be obsessed with "Burn out Bright".
I hope they do Goodbye Hurricane,I heard somewhere(can't remember where) that it wasn't going to happen.
With all the song's Jon's written and keeps writing, they should probably release three albums.
Can anyone recommend me some of their[Sanctus Real's] songs?
"Dear Heart" is my personal favorite from the new album.
Lark: I picked up that deal too. I've been listening to the album more than I thought I would. It's so great. I think it's a better album that I realized. I turned on one of their songs in the middle of the song and going from silence to the song in full swing was so impressive. Every instrument is perfect and the songs are so complex.

It features the string arrangements of Van Dyke Parks who used to compose for Disney. Basically, this sounds like modern music set to a Disney soundtrack. It works surprisingly well.
I also got their "The End is Not the End" Ep for free, and I'm enjoying that as well.
I think that HoH's lyrics are pretty good too. I like "Constant" a lot. And the placement of "Salt in the Sea" is nice. I could probably go on and on though,so I'll so there.
That song is so beautiful. I really need to buy the rest of that album. Sleeping at Last's music really helps me relax.
Sadly,Paper Route will not be touring with Switchfoot and The Almost this fall, due to recording issues.
It's not really a song, (because it doesn't have words), but I really love Mae's Seasons which is 13:40.
Then there's Copeland's Not So Tough Found Out (it can get a bit monotonous I suppose, but it's really pretty) at 10:30. I love the hammer dulcimer and electronica elements throughout the song.
Deathbed is the obvious one but it is one of my favorites!
