Lately I've been listening to an extremely strange mix of music. Yesterday I was so tired and needed some energy and I put on a playlist of really bad pop like Kelly Clarkson, etc. I'm finding myself less and less averse to post-hardcore and metalcore like Underoath. Yikes. I'm also listening to tons and tons of Renaissance music like Josquin Desprez, William Byrd, Monteverdi, Thomas Tallis, and John Dowland. (mainly because I'm having to write a 2500 word paper on Ren. music before next Monday and I haven't started yet. heh.) Dowland has some really beautiful lute music that I've quite enjoyed because it's relaxing... I guess what I listen to depends on my mood. But at the same time my favorites will still be indie/alternative/rock (and electronica?), so don't worry about me too much.

Meep. Owl City is going to be in MA again, but I don't know if I'm going to go. He's going with Maroon 5, and, um, I'm not a huge fan. So....I might just wait and see if he comes again later this year, and hopefully not with John Mayer. By himself, or he can bring Deas Vail again .

And I knew this a few weeks ago but OWL CITY IS RECORDING A NEW CD!!!!! Yay! Happiness! Joy! Alacrity! Jubilance! Elation! Delight! etc! Hehe, I'm very happy . I've been OBESSED with his music lately. Well, it's summertime. The time for happy dancy electronica pop music. Wait, did I say pop? Sorry I'm hyper . And he blogged some http://owlcityblog.com/ . Gosh I love what he says- so happy, innocent, random, and child-like .

Oooh and here's a fun interview with Matty T. I'm very proud of him . I like his answers, especially to "who's your role model" and "does anything happen on tour that you wouldn't want your mom to know about" .

Awe I love Maroon 5. I was going to go to a concert that had Maroon 5 but I ended up in a hospital with a MRSA Infection in my eye.

Sorry about that! I would be horribly upset if I were you! Maybe their tour with Owl City will come somewhere near you .

I hope so or in Los Angeles since I'll be there for some time starting this July

I'm super busy and super tired and don't have anything much to say, but I've gone too many pages without a post, I need to write something.

I haven't really been following the discussion either, so..
Recently I've been listening to The Rocket Summer. I know it's nothing new, but his music puts me in a really good mood all the time. I do wish he would come to Japan..

Yesterday I gave Ocean Eyes a full listen (actually, I only got to track 10, but almost..) and.. I dunno. The only tracks that stand out to me are the ones I've heard before, and although I like his music, I'm not a huge fan of the whole electronic sound. It's good background music, though.

I've been listening to The Script, and I can't figure out if I like them or not, in terms of the lyrics and stuff, but I like their sound.

Has anyone heard the song "Airplanes"? It's by the lead singer of Paramore (Hayley Williams?) and some other.. rap people. lol. It's totally not my style, but some people at my school are totally obsessed with it, and just the one line (which is basically all the song is, minus the rap) is really catchy.

Sorry if this whole post doesn't really make any sense, it comes from a very exhausted brain.
