^ditto. Warped is going to be really really close to me, and I almost want to go, just to see TRS again, but if I get to go to another concert this year, I'll probably go to something cheaper, and a band I haven't seen before. My parents don't like that I keep on asking to see RK since I just saw them in October, so I'm guessing they wouldn't want me to see TRS in July when I just saw him in April .
^wow really?! So she likes him then? Btw, who's on your avatar?
^^ that's Matt from TCC? he looks so different from when I saw them in concert! wow! so he got rid of his beard? hmmm.....didn't know that

Kat: bwahaha. My parents only tolerate my music. They were dying when I played Do You Feel in the car yesterday . Whatever . Oh I see. Too many people have told me to listen to them. I heard some songs the other day. They were pretty good...maybe I should listen to more .
So on the RK fan club boards I've successfully converted someone to TRS! Now some kid is trying to get me to listen to all these hardcore bands . He says they're not screamo, but they're not high on my list of "listen-to" .
Libby, it's a rather old picture of Matt, so he didn't have a beard, and his hair was totally different.
You heard them in concert? How are they live?
Haha, aw, Ali! They were dying? I don't see how it could be so unbearable to anyone.
Well yes you should definitely check them out more! Salt In The Snow and Abracadavers are my favorites from The Silver Cord, but I have yet to listen to a lot of stuff from their other albums.
Thank you for the links Kat.
I've been listening to a lot of new music lately. Sleep For Sleepers is such a good band that I can't believe Christian radio has missed them. They're kind of an emo melodic rock band. They're very good. Raining and OK is a good smooth rock band that is offering their new EP for free, so that was a good find. Other than that, I've been enjoying Faded Paper Figures' new album.
Haha, aw, Ali! They were dying? I don't see how it could be so unbearable to anyone.
me neither. It's not like he's hard rock or anything .
Well yes you should definitely check them out more!
haha, ok I will .
Kate: ooh those bands sound good! Where can you get that EP?
Just listened to several songs from FPF, Kate. They're really awesome! But I will make the dreaded The Postal Service comparison that I'm sure so many people have made Honestly though, they sound so much more like TPS than Owl City does, and I absolutely cannot understand why SO many people compare Owl City to TPS... but anyway. I love their sound. Have they released their new album yet or did you get to listen to it early?
Ali: You can get the Raining and OK EP free here.
Kat: Both! The album is currently available as of today. The Postal Service comparison is valid, most definitely. Personally, I think FPF expands on the genre that TPS started. They may not be the originators, but FPF is better in my opinion. I reviewed it at TAPs if you want my more in depth analysis. I also have no idea why Owl City is compared so often to TPS. Sure, they both blend electronica with a more mainstream sound, but TPS does so with indie music, and Owl City with pop. They're totally different. FPF seems to have done it with indie-pop. So they're kind of a combo.
I missed an Angels in Airwaves concert
Though I got tickets to a Boston concert and I'm very excited to see them and hear their older classics. It's going to be fun.
Some of you probably don't know who they are, I feel so left out. haha
I know who Owl City is I saw him in concert a few months ago and I like Indie type stuff a lot like MGMT.

Some artists who I have been listening to a lot recently and really like are tobyMac, Francesca Battistelli, and Chasen. I really, really want to get tobyMac's new album but have yet to buy it. I've heard the songs "City On Our Knees", "Tonight", and "Get Back Up" from the album. And I love ALL of them.
I announced a while back that I had recieved Tenth Avenue North's new album. I have listened to it all the way through and I have to tell you all that it's amazing! I wrote a review on my blog, if you want to check it out. http://vaporinwind.blogspot.com/2010/05/light-meets-dark.html

thank you Kate!
I get really mad when I listen to people rip on Adam for "copying" TPS. They are kinda alike, but not so much that he's a complete rip off of them.
awesome about going to an Owl City concert DamselJillPole! I missed one last month ( ) but I watched his live streaming from London on Facebook and he was really good .
I've recently gotten into Tenth Avenue North. They are very good and the name of the band sounds nice. IDK there is something about their name that sounds magical to me.
