It has 80s pop influences, basically plagiarizes the Rocky theme, and also has rap and Japanese DJs. I do not recommend it.
wow sounds weird...
Ahh, thanks for the reminder that I could do that. Sadly, TAN's didn't show up.. but maybe it will once the album comes out? lol.. I'm just trying to stay hopeful.
well if the other albums show up, TAN's should too, after it releases .
Lucky.. But that's good.
it is good. Especially since it was my friend (and his siblings) that are constantly yacking on me for my musical likes and dislikes...the one I'm always talking about . I was very pleased .
EDIT: Ahh.. In the last video journal, he talked about Eustace! I was pretty hyper, lol, it was awesome.
bwahaha I know!
*sniff*
aww . I was just kidding .
edit:Kat told me that Jon Schneck graduated from Liberty University,a Christian college in my state that I want to attend!
ooh, awesomeness!
I plan on watching all podcasts, i think I have to go to youtube for the others though. the five I liked from the first, in the order I heard them:
Love is Here
By Your Side, (easily my favorite)
Times
Beloved
Hold My HeartI did listen to the Cd in full but no other caught my attention, granted I only listened to it once and sometimes I just have to get used to a song to like it.
they're really good
oh those are all my favorites! I love all the others too though . Oh the same with me, that's why I listen to something several times before I say if I do/don't like it. Like when I first heard Do You Feel I didn't like it much at all but now it's one of my favorite songs .
about TAN doing a song for VotDT: Idk how I feel about that. Unless it was on an inspired by CD, I wouldn't like it very much I think. I'm not crazy about them putting pop music in these movies. Can't Take It In was pretty good but I didn't like The Call very much at all. Just b/c I'd like the band doesn't mean I'd like them using modern music in a fantasy movie. I'd be totally on board if they did an inspired by. RK would have to have a song on it if they did . Just my two cents .

I like the pop music it's had so far. I don't view it as "pop music in narnia"
I've never understood the majority's problem with that
Of course on music inspired by Cd would be best. RK made one for LWW's but it didn't make it on the Cd.
^they actually wrote two songs! But sadly were not asked
^Really? Were those songs ever released?
Btw,I knew you were kidding.
Yeah, tobyMac did too,and dc talk was actually birthed there, but I was more excited about Schneck.
Kate: I've never listened to Keane, but thanks for informing us about his EP. Also,I've been meaning to look up Quiet Science. Which songs would you suggest?
I've been listening to my Anberlin cds for the past few hours. Now I know why everyone loved "Cities" so much. It's incredible!
Not loving BFTBM that much, though. I like maybe three songs on it.
Relient k and Mae both wrote songs for the "Inspired By" album that never made it on. So did the Newsboys apparently... Relient k's song was "In Like a Lion" and it was released by them on the Apathetic EP. Mae's song was Where the Falls Begin and it is one of my favorite songs by them, but it barely has anything to do with Narnia, so I don't blame the people picking the songs. It was released on The Everglow EP.
Lark: Keane is actually a wonderful British rock band that wrote wonderful BritPop ballads like "Somewhere Only We Know." They are known for Coldplay-style music, Tom Chaplin's incredible vocals, and being completely piano-based with no guitars. I would recommend their first two albums heartily. Their third is a bit odd and this EP is just plain confusing. But that doesn't mean I would write them off completely.
It's hard to recommend specific Quiet Science songs because they are all very different, but the best are "Cumulus" and "Queen Elisabeth." If you don't like one, try the other because they are nothing alike.
I agree that BFTBM is a weaker offering, but it was their first. I like about 5 of the songs on it.
well if the other albums show up, TAN's should too, after it releases .
Yay! And I just bought the 4th single, so it'd better.
The Truth is Who You Are isn't my favourite.. but I guess it's only one song on the album. I dunno why, it just doesn't feel like the tune does that much. I'll give it a few more listens.
When you're all saying TAN for VDT, do you mean actually in the movie? (at the end). For me that just wouldn't fit. I mean, it would depend how they did it - if they did it well, it could be good. I don't have that much of a problem with the pop songs in the movies.. but not a TAN song.
In an Inspired By CD (are they even doing one?), on the other hand, would be awesome.
On another note, I love both the RK songs written for the Inspired By CD, I so wish they'd gotten on..
Avie by flambeau.

Kate, that is so cool... what a funny coincidence! I wonder how he found it. One of my friends from my online school also told me that he had posted that.
And thank you! I actually played Cable Car for church (offertory) the other day and after the service one of the church leaders (a 60+ year old) came up and said it was his favorite song that I'd ever played. So he asked me for the name and artist and wrote them down
I love Noticed. It might be my favorite MuteMath song. It was the first song of theirs I ever heard, and it's just always struck me as very special.
Aslans Country, in which video did he talk about Eustace? I've been really bad with keeping up with their videos...
I could see TAN doing a song for an inspired-by CD, but they're probably not going to make another one of those, are they? They didn't for PC...
Lark: As Kate already said, In Like A Lion was released on Apathetic. The Truth was the other song, which is also on Apathetic, but Matt changed the words around a bit from being about Lucy and how nobody believed her to being about us struggling with our faith in God. Both are very good songs!
I actually don't think I've ever listened to all of BFTBM, just a few songs from it. I feel bad because I call Anberlin one of my favorite bands but I haven't listened to everything of theirs.
On last.fm radio I heard The Last Satellite by Quiet Science. It was pretty good! I'll look into more of their music.
On Friday I'm going to the fun./Relient K/Paramore concert. I'm really excited. Since Relient K isn't headlining they don't have as much set time and flexibility for doing extra things, and so I'm not going to play with them, but Schneck said to let him know the next time they're near and headlining. He also said that he'd try to make sure and be at the merch table afterwards to meet me.

well Kat just answered that .

the apparent awesomeness of that CD keeps on getting shoved in my face but I have other CDs I want to get first! Aaaah! The pain of poverty .

ooh Mae wrote a song? Interesting...Well maybe it's not about Narnia b/c they changed up the lyrics after it was rejected, like RK's The Truth.
Yay! And I just bought the 4th single, so it'd better.
ack it's so hard for me not to buy the singles!
On another note, I love both the RK songs written for the Inspired By CD, I so wish they'd gotten on..
me too, they totally deserved it. More than some other people on it, but I'm biased I guess .

cool I hope you have fun! Who are you going with? Just wondering b/c just a little warning, one of my friends in the RK fanclub went to that show and he said that some innapropiate things were said (mostly by the audience) and thrown on stage, mostly during Paramore. Just letting you know. I hope you get to meet Schneck though-that would be so awesome!
Yikes, Glenstorm, that's a little weird. The audience? Or was Paramore being inappropriate too? How strange. We'll see what happens
I'm going with one of my friends (she's been a RK fan since 2001! she rocks. haha) and one of her friends. And my friend's dad is driving, so my mom is cool with it.
Apparently Adam Young has yet another project.

Hmmm.
GTG: whoa. they were throwing what? that's weird!
Skillet and Red are on tour together and they aren't coming to my state or anywhere near me!

Kat: I guess Paramore said a few things too but it was mostly the audience. I hope your show goes ok though .
Thanks for that link! Idk why he needs another project but whatever . The music is beautiful. I ♥ Brielle .
[g]GTG: guess what band was in a small article in the latest issue of Relevant? Deas Vail! hehehe!

^^ yup, they have a small article on Deas Vail.....I have the magazine, but it's my dad's so I will have to ask him if I can bring it to you, but I'll try!

sooo...soon I'll be ordering a CD but I don't know whether to get Do You Feel, Heaven and Earth, or both! I think I'll get both...I'm just waiting on my friend to tell me which CD to buy his sister for her birthday- he's taking FOREVER .
