CBD has some pretty good sales right now. Barlowgirl's How Can We Be Silent is only $4.99 and the DVD/CD pack is $5. Also, Sea of Faces is only $5!
One really good Christian artist who I've recently started listening to is Phil Wickham. He's very similar to most praise artists, except he's more rock/pop style.
I've recently gotten in to him too . He's pretty good...
Glenstorm! I'm so glad you appreciated TAN's audio blogs and acoustic songs. They are definitely a really special band and I wish the Christian music industry had more people like Mike.
me too .
And I'm glad you liked the Acceptance song. They're so awesome. Check out some of their other stuff too if you have the time. I think Phantoms could easily become one of my favorite albums ever. Jason Vena has a great voice, and it's exactly my taste.
yeah they're pretty cool. I was listening to some of their stuff on Last.fm yesterday...
Lucky? I have to buy a Chris Tomlin cd for my mom first, what's lucky about that?!?
the fact that you're getting a CD . But no matter, I am too . I found Hello, Good Friend for $1.99 on CBD . I'm very happy- got a mother's day gift for my mom while I was at it .
Yeah, the blogs are awesome! I love what Mike said about propitiation. I told my uncle and aunt and they thought it was the funniest thing ever.
lol .
Me too. Stephen Christian has an awesome voice.
He sure does.
I have a song that I think you all should listen to.
I'm sure I've heard the chorus to this song before. I can't possibly think where, though.
do you remember what other Anberlin songs you listened to that you didn't like? It's not that you dislike their heavier songs and you prefer the mellow ones, is it?
Hmm.. I can't exactly remember the names, but I'm pretty sure Alexithymia was one of them. Actually, though, I think my not-being-able-to-get-into-anberlin stage is over - I liked Haight St., Retrace, and A Day Late (I actually discovered that A Day Late was in my iTunes yesterday. How did that happen? )
I liked the lyrics to Burn Out Brighter, but I wasn't too keen on the song itself. I hate it when the happens..
Thanks to you guys.
. Speaking of which, I'm so glad I did....
That's so awesome. I've glad you did, too.
lol . Oh and for more Anberlin recs I don't really have any. Haven't listened to much myself . Have you heard Godspeed? Or Haunting? I like those...also they're cover of True Faith.
Thanks. Like I said, I think I'm able to like Anberlin now. (for which I am very grateful)
I ended up buying TAN's two songs on iTunes.. I'm glad I did, because I like them, but I just hope the "Complete My Album" feature is going to work..
You Are More sounded better live, though.. hmm.
(lol, that sounded like I actually heard them play it at a concert )

Kate: I've only heard three or four songs off Cities, but I love them all. I'm still just so excited to be getting some actual Anberlin cds.
Ali: I've known about that for a while, but never taken advantage of it. I will,though...eventually.
Ha,I got my mom a Mother's Day gift too when I ordered BFCF.
Aslans Country: I keep forgetting to say something, but your avy is awesome!
Sorry for the short catch-up,but I have BIG NEWS!!(this is the 3rd time in the last month I've had "big news" )

Everyone please enter! This auction is supporting a really great cause!
It's actually more like a raffle than an auction. You buy "shares". Each share is $1. Only one is needed to win,and I'm pretty sure that there isn't a limit on how many shares you can buy.
HOW IS THIS ON THE SECOND PAGE PEOPLE!!!
Anyway...
I've gotten VERY intro Phil Wickham. My friend let me borrow Cannons and Heaven and Earth from him, and I've already listened to them both a few times through. He reminds me of Leeland. His style and voice. Anyway, he's very cool. Now I'm extra depressed that Leeland's current tour isn't coming anywhere near me .
That's so awesome. I've glad you did, too.
aww
Thanks. Like I said, I think I'm able to like Anberlin now. (for which I am very grateful)
oh that's good . I went through the same thing for awhile
Ali: I've known about that for a while, but never taken advantage of it. I will,though...eventually.
You knew and you didn't tell me!?!?! What kind of a friend are you!!!!
Ha,I got my mom a Mother's Day gift too when I ordered BFCF.
lol I love excuses for buying stuff .
I ended up buying TAN's two songs on iTunes.. I'm glad I did, because I like them, but I just hope the "Complete My Album" feature is going to work..
It should, I've used it before
You Are More sounded better live, though.. hmm.
lol some songs are like that, especially if you hear them live first .
I keep forgetting to say something, but your avy is awesome!
Thanks, I love it.

lol, I was thinking the same thing.. where's everyone gone?
It should, I've used it before
Yeah.. I'm just not sure if the same applies to UK iTunes, which is what I bought it on, though.
One more week!

I know, Kat's been gone for ages!
Yeah.. I'm just not sure if the same applies to UK iTunes, which is what I bought it on, though.
did iTunes "advertise" a complete my album feature when you bought it? Like do you have Genius? You can go on your iTunes store account and it should show you which albums you've partially bought and the discount price you can buy the rest for. Hope it works for you .
One more week!
so psyched! Especially since I found out some of my friends like them . They already asked if they can borrow it after I get it .
Falling Up makes me hyper! their music is so awesome and energizing! I feel like the energizer bunny when I hear their music!

I just saw the video podcast for Tenth Ave North's upcoming Cd. Not in full, I just subscribed to it right now on iTunes.
One of the guys was talking about the song: The Truth is Who You Are
I rather enjoyed him speaking. and all I could think was, I gotta see them in concert. Can't wait for the Cd, although like with the first, I don't think I'll buy it in full- only the songs I like, (which was 5 from the first).
EDIT: I actually just bought one of their new songs: You Are More
I know iTunes has another available but I will wait on that one.
^yep Mike Donehey (lead singer). He's really great in the podcasts, you should watch them all . AAAHH I want to buy that song but I'm making myself wait til I get the CD to here it in full . Which 5 songs did you like from the first CD? I love the whole thing
You can go on your iTunes store account and it should show you which albums you've partially bought and the discount price you can buy the rest for.
Ahh, thanks for the reminder that I could do that. Sadly, TAN's didn't show up.. but maybe it will once the album comes out? lol.. I'm just trying to stay hopeful.
Especially since I found out some of my friends like them
Lucky.. But that's good.
I'm glad, you liked Mike Donehey speaking, narnian1. Did you like You Are More?
EDIT: Ahh.. In the last video journal, he talked about Eustace! I was pretty hyper, lol, it was awesome.

Aslans Country: I saw that too!! I can't wait 'til they put that one on iTunes.
Idea! TAN should do a song for VDT!!!!!! Let's start a petition!
edit:Kat told me that Jon Schneck graduated from Liberty University,a Christian college in my state that I want to attend!
^^ that would be awesome if TAN did a song for VotDT! I would freak out!
it would be the best if Skillet did a song for VotDT though.....

I plan on watching all podcasts, i think I have to go to youtube for the others though. the five I liked from the first, in the order I heard them:
Love is Here
By Your Side, (easily my favorite)
Times
Beloved
Hold My Heart
I did listen to the Cd in full but no other caught my attention, granted I only listened to it once and sometimes I just have to get used to a song to like it.
@libertyhoffman,
TAN for Narnia:VDT I am so on board with that!! They'd be awesome!
My "boss" at The Album Project posted a link to Kat's "Fireflies" cover completely independent of me. I was so surprised at the coincidence! Kat, you are famous and popular. I love your "Unwinding Cable Car" cover.
I've been listening to the awesome indie band Quiet Company, Keane's new EP, and a good ambient pop/rock band called The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter. Keane's new EP is bizarre, boring, and disappointing. It has 80s pop influences, basically plagiarizes the Rocky theme, and also has rap and Japanese DJs. I do not recommend it.
I also bought MuteMath's "Noticed." It is a great song. The lyrics are really creative.
