Ali: Yay about getting TLMTD and DYF!

Here's the results for the 2010 Dove Awards. I'm dissapointed.

Switchfoot won Rock Song of the Year for "Mess of Me",but Hello Hurricane didn't win a Dove. That album is Grammy material.

I forgot who won group of the year,but it wasn't Tenth Avenue North.

My favorite bands are Switchfoot, Relient K, and Owl City, with a few close ones like Hawk Nelson, Stellar Kart, and Tenth Avenue North,

^lol ok. I'm not happy with the winners. Skillet didn't win anything out of all their nominations! That's just wrong . They even had two nomintations in one category .

Aw,they didn't do "Hurricane"? *sniff* I love that song.(Isn't it ironic how many songs there are about hurricanes? Why not write a song about tornadoes?) That's still a great set-list though.
Wow,that's just so cool about Bo!"Won't Turn Back",is such a beautiful song. I can hear him singing BGVs sometimes,but to actually hear him sing solo! Ooh,I hope he wins! Hehe.

Oh,my gosh!! Tenth Avenue North,Sanctus Real,Britt Nicole,House of Heroes,Brandon Heath,and Skillet?!?!?!? You should totally go!! My summer thing is three days long,but my group is only going to go one day. My youth leader wants to see Chris Tomlin and I want to see tobyMac and Tenth Avenue North. But Chris Tomlin and tobyMac/TAN are performing on two different days.

Not that I heard...but they may have played it after I left...Which is sad b/c I love that song, too! (LOL! I never thought about that! That is crazy! Maybe "Hurricane" just sounds better than "Tornado"...? )
Yeah, it was amazing! WTB is probably my favorite song from the album (although, my favorites tend to change... )
None of the members played piano. It must have just been someone they tour with...He was good though, he played "Girl Named Tennessee" really well in particular! I hope you get a chance to see them sometime! (btw, speaking of that concert, I found a video on Facebook of Matt Hires [can't recommend him enough. ] singing "Hang Up My Rock'n Roll Shoes" Its actually pretty good quality. Here. )

My Mom has pretty much agreed--but I'll have to pay for my ticket ($100, which isn't so bad since I have a great Summer job.) I really hope you get to see TAN/Toby!

That's just what got my attention...In other news ( ), my Mom told me she wouldn't take me to the NTB concert on Friday...but hope was not lost! Because I noticed that they have a show in Alabama on Saturday, which happens to be where my one of my sisters lives! So I asked her if she would go with me and she said yes! So I'm driving to Alabama this weekend. Btw, Lark, I'm so psyched to hear He Is We is releasing an album! I like their music!

I don't know, I'm not a big fan of Needtobreathe. So I wasn't too excited when I heard that they had won. I just don't like their style. I don't have anything against the band.

I was seriously surprised that Toby Mac didn't win artist of the year! And Casting Crowns did?? I guess they are an awesome band, but that's a bit crazy...

I was excited to hear that Tenth Avenue North won song of the year with "By Your Side"! They came in second place last year, so it's neat that the song is even more popular this year!

Didn't Brandon Heath win male vocalist of the year last year too??

And it's awesome that Francesca won female vocalist of the year! She's amazing.
