Lark: well I hope you get to go to both
yeah they have too! Their website's going kinda slow
Hi sloopjonschneck! Welcome to NarniaWeb! RK is my favorite band too! TRS is The Rocket Summer and TAN is Tenth Avenue North- both great Christian bands !
wow a music thread!? Awesome!
my favorite band is Relient K! I can see a few of you guys like them too. One question, who's TRS? Oh and TAN too?
Yay,you found the thread!!
TRS is The Rocket Summer and TAN is Tenth Avenue North. edit: Sorry,Ali,I didn't see where you answered.
Do you like Switchfoot?
Glenstorm the Great: oh cool (about RK)! What's your favorite CD of theirs? Mine is MMHMM, even though I read online that Matt Thiessen doesn't like that CD .
Lark: was that last question directed towards me? If so, yes, but I've only heard their last CD .
thanks to you both for answering my question .

Have fun at the concert tonight Glenstorm! You'll love it!
And well, there wasn't exactly a meet and greet, but, he was waiting outside and was willing to talk with people, so I guess you could call it a meet and greet, lol. It probably depends on the venue (since the concert I went to was at a bar, and it was after 10pm, we underage people all got kicked out, so he had to go outside), but he likes meeting people afterwards, so yup.
Yeah, Two Lefts is better than Bird/Bee Sides. They're both good though.
I thought IMHO meant in my own humble opinion? hehe.
Welcome to NarniaWeb sloopjonschneck! Nice username!! I take it you're a Schneck fan? He's one awesome dude. Haha, yeah Matt did call mmhmm a "cheesy pop-punk album" in a recent interview. Oh well.
IMHO= In My Honest Opinion
I always thought it meant "In my Humble opinion." *laugh*
*thinks about posting* Heh, off topic.
Um... Uh... there's a CC and TAN concert here tonight. My older brother said he thought about taking me... But then we had something else going on.
*pretty sure I already said that.*
Well, see you all in about 2 weeks! We're going on vacation...

get all of them! Lol, jk . I'm glad you like Flyleaf, I think I'm like the only one on here who does...ooh wait W4J does too .
I really should Her voice just had a really cool quality too it...I don't really know how to describe it, but I thought it was good
I know you asked Libby but um, Collide is good for people who like harder rock. Comatose and Awake have a softer, almost more pop-ish feel to them. Collide is definitely more rock. I don't really like the album but it has some really good songs like Saviour or Forsaken.
like GTG said, Collide is more hard rock, but it's awesome! it's my third favorite Skillet CD and it's addicting! it's Skillet's most hard rock album but it's not screamo. it's just louder than most of Skillet's CDs! but it's great if you like Skillet! here's the songs I like the most on it:
Now I really want that album too (adding it to the list...Family Force Five, Flyleaf, Remedy Drive, VOTA, Worth Dying For, Forget and Not Slow Down...it's perpetually growing ) Haha, one music I can't stand is screamo, so that's good I'll definitely have to check it out, thanks! Even louder? Awesome!!
I haven't listened to much BarlowGirl lately, but I do love "Hello Sunshine" from the freebies list Amazon has (that's where I got it). It's just a really happy song (: but my favorite part is the beginning, I love how it starts with the piano and drumsticks, then the little harmony in the verse is really cool.
I also found a really cool album series on iTunes called...I think it was "Epic Music". It has some really cool trailer-like scores, and I like listening to all the previews
I always thought it meant "In my Humble opinion." *laugh*
Haha, that's what I always thought too!

Team Hoodie!!
I've got to say that it was an amazing pleasure to see Shinedown on their first tour before they became popular like they are now today.
A few bands and singers I have recently noticed and love are: The Script, Owl City, MGMT, and Tim Urban.
Long Live King Caspian & Queen Liliandil Forever!
Jill+Tirian! Let there be Jilrian!
aaah no time for a long post right now but I just got back from the concert and it was AMAZING!!!!! I didn't meet Bryce but I talked to Tara and it was just really really cool! I am SO glad I went! EEEEEPPPPP!!!! Btw I'm going to be hyper for a few days !!!
"Birds and Cages" is on it's way!! Whoot!
Lark: well I hope you get to go to both
yeah they have too! Their website's going kinda slow
Thanks!
Yeah,I know. I saw Ruben tweet that after Louisiana WJ show, that one person asked if he and Jeff were brothers.
Eeep!! That sounds so exciting! Can't wait for a longer post. Hyper is great! Just as long as you don't experience any post-concert depression.
Have fun on vacation,Queen Su! We'll miss you!
Oh,and thanks about your input in Bee Sides and Two Lefts,Kat and Ali.
Matt did call mmhmm a "cheesy pop-punk album" in a recent interview
Is this interview on youtube? Because I keep hearing about it,and wanna see it.
Lark: was that last question directed towards me? If so, yes, but I've only heard their last CD .
It was, sorry. (I didn't have time to put your name in front of it because I had to go to my piano lesson.)
So,do you like the cd? I got it for Christmas, but didn't listen to it for a month because I was so obsessed with Owl City then.
I'm not sure if it's Switchfoot's "best" cd,but it is pretty awesome IMO.
I listened to Forget and Not Slow Down from start to finish last night. That cd always makes me happy for some reason.
I really should Her voice just had a really cool quality too it...I don't really know how to describe it, but I thought it was good
lol . Yeah her voice is awesome! My sister said she sounds whiny but I love her voice . So, what songs do you like?
"Birds and Cages" is on it's way!! Whoot!
yay for you!

lol that's funny
It was awesome! I'll post more about it later today, I'm just trying to catch up a little right now. Anything depression I suffer will be from my mom giving me grief about the concert . It was so awesome though .

it makes you happy? It always made me sad, but I don't listen to it very much anymore. My friends give me sooooo much grief for it, you wouldn't believe.
QS: have fun! We'll miss you
Kat: yeah I did love it! Bryce was AMAZING live!

Okay, just as long as you do tell us(me ) all about it.
Ha,that's why I prefer my dad to take me to concerts.

Yeah,it's weird. I think it's because I didn't allude most of the songs to being about Matt T's ex when I first listened to it.
But it's such a beautiful cd.
Because you don't listen to it as much now? Aw,I'm sorry.
Btw,I'm lovin' your avy.
Hey,there's this Christian duo on purevolume called Joel and Janna. You can download four of their songs for free! I've only listened to one,and I think they're pretty good. Nothing exceptional so far,but the piano's nice to listen to.

My dad did take me. But when I was telling my mom about it afterwards she was upset that he crowd-surfed. She said it was immature

Aah I see. They don't make me too sad. B/c Matt has such a good attitude about it. Well except for This is the End (If You Want It)- used to make me cry every time I listened to it . But yeah it is beautiful. Their music and lyrics have progressed so much .
No my friends don't like that I listened to it in the first place . And they're RK fans!
hehe thanks .

There was only one opening band. I think it was Hot Chelle Rae. They were good performers but their voices sounded very off-key. And I couldn’t understand a thing they said besides “this song is about girls” . Thankfully they only played five songs.
So while they were setting up for Bryce I went to the merch table and bought the You Gotta Believe tshirt and a poster. It was very hard not to buy the Do You Feel CD but I want to buy the deluxe version . I talked to Tara for a little bit when I was deciding what to get. I mentioned that I knew you, Kat, through the internet and that you were the one that introduced me to The Rocket Summer. So we talked about you for a little bit .
Then TRS came on. They had these awesome lamps they lit up right before Bryce went on the stage. A yellow one lit first and it said “Of” and then a blue one that said “Men” then a yellow one “and” and another blue one “angels”.
I almost liked this concert better than the Relient K concert I went to. Bryce was very involved with the audience. In almost every song he let the crowd sing part. When he sang I Want Something to Live For in acoustic, he came out in the middle of the audience and just stoop on a step-stool and sang it alone with his acoustic guitar. After that he passed his guitar to a staff member, threw his mic on stage, and then proceeded to crowd surf all the way back to the stage! It was awesome! While he was doing that the band was playing the intro to Roses over and over, it sounded really cool .
I was up on the balcony but Bryce turned and sang to the people in the balcony several times, unlike RK who never ever looked up at the balcony at the concert I went to. While he was singing a song once he turned towards the balcony and looked at me so I grinned and went “whoo!” and then he grinned back! I was so happy- I know, I’m a stupid fangirl .
Before he played Break It Out he did a really cool drum solo, and then went to the piano, then bass, and then guitar. And once he left an instrument, the tune he had been playing would continue to go so he made up a really cool new intro to the song. It was amazing!
For his encore, most of it was him messing around, playing intros to songs, and trying to figure out which songs the audience wanted him to play .
Bryce's vocals were really good- almost better than on the CD. Actually I bought some of the songs I didn't know afterwards and I'm like "wow I like the live version better." But Bryce was really energetic and fun. He was all over the stage and just rockin it out. It was awesome!
Overall it was an awesome concert. He was really cool and down to earth and he made eye contact with like everyone in the audience, but then there were only like 50 people . But it was really cool, and I would definitely go to another one of his concerts.
wow that was rather long...
*confetti exploded
A Dutch Narniawebber [?] and AC-er [Georgiefan] [same name?] introduced me to Opwekking yesterday! They're a Christian praise and worship group that produces 12 songs a year, and now has has nearly 700. Anyway, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to Georgiefan! I now have an Opwekking playlist on Youtube. Some of the songs you should know, like "Light of the World," "Draw me close to you," "Praise Adonai," "As the deer pants for the water," and "Beautiful One."
Last night, I heard "Great is He" [in Dutch] for the first time in 10 years. God helped me remember the lyrics in English. I've been singing this song for 12 hours now! Click here for the Dutch version and here for the English. Enjoy!
Lyrics
Great is He
Who's the King of Kings
And the Lord of Lords
He is wonderful! [repeat]
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
He is wonderful! [girls only]
Hallelujah
Salvation and glory
Honor and power
He is wonderful! [guys only]

Thank you . Yeah Schneck is pretty cool. Yeah, but I don't care about his opinion- it's a great album!

oh ok
Yes it's really good. I got it last month. I haven't heard any other Switchfoot so I can't say if it's their best CD or not.
Oh you like Owl City? He's pretty good, but I don't listen to him that much. I only have a few songs of his...

Glenstorm the Great: oh cool (about RK)! What's your favorite CD of theirs? Mine is MMHMM, even though I read online that Matt Thiessen doesn't like that CD .
My favorite is MMHMM too, but I have no idea which would be my second favorite, they're all too good .
oh and to everyone that said IMHO meant In My Humble Opinion, it means both. I looked it up online .
