^^ yeah, it's really popular (for some reason) to have movie pictures on underwear.....but what's the point?

Oh, if the presence of Screaming Fangurls (TM) that are in the audience when you play many of the songs in The Beatles: Rock Band are of any indication, I'm pretty sure that the Beatles were a huge fad back in the days.
I know Pokemon was mentioned in the opening post: while the brunt of the "fad" has died down over the years, Pokemon is still rather popular nowadays. It's nowhere near as omnipresent as it was in the late 90's, you won't see people doing crazy stuff to get that Charizard card, and the anime/movies are more of an afterthought than anything... but the games? They're still easily amongst the top-selling games, and are played by many people of all ages. (It helps that the games themselves have a very deep strategic component that makes them popular with "hardcore gamers" as well as children (and adults who remember the games from when they were children *cough*).) In a way, Pokemon is an example of a "fad" that did not just fizzle out, and is arguably still going strong, if not nearly as vocal.

I find pokemon cute but the tv show went down hill, the games are alright(i lked pokemon staduim). I can remember my brother cried one because he bought a set of trading cards and he had all the cards already that were in that pack.
I still have all my Beanie Babies as well. I was never into dolls as a kid, but I loved Beanie babies. They're sitting in a trunk right now, but I haven't the heart to get rid of them.
Let's not forget what I find the funniest fad in a while. The snuggie! Some of my classmates have worn them to class(It's freezing cold in there), and we got my grandma one in honor of the university I'm attending.
I heard Myspace referred to the other day as the abandoned amusement park of the internet. Lol, everyone was talking about it a while back, but now they've packed up and moved to facebook.
I'm starting to get tired of the vampire fad. Anytime I see "vampire" in the title of something, I tend to ignore it.
Paul McCartney at the Golden Globes: "My name is Paul McCartney, or as I am now known 'that guy from Rock Band'"
Lol, I'm glad that this game is exposing younger people to the Beatles. Although I have to admit, I feel pretty cool for being a fan before all this Rock Band excitement happened.
