Hmmm... right now it seems like Owl City is a fad. It's insane how many random people I've seen wearing Owl City shirts. And I'm guessing that many of them don't even own much more than Ocean Eyes.
Not that I don't like Owl City, because I like him a lot. I just think that it's become rather faddish to like his music.

yes, I agree! Owl City is becoming the "cool" trend.....

this may not be true for everybody, but I think (and as a Pan Head I am part of it!) that Skillet is a trend!

yep owl city is probably a trend though most people have only heard vanilla twilight and fireflies. those fake fans...

skillet? not really...maybe among people that like metal but not in most crowds...

when i was younger i was bombarded by the disney channel fad. i never liked disney channel but was dying to watch it b/c everyone else did. thankfully my parents had the wisdom to not let me watch hsm and hm among other things, so i don't have to be embarrassed today and admit to people that i watched that kind of junk food tv .

okay, I just thought of an obvious one: Twilight! everyone (not me though) is obsessed with those movies and books!

Oh yea, Liberty.

For awhile there was the High School Musical fad and all these little kids had HSM bags and shirts and shoes and lunch boxes and toys and all that.

i know, i was so sick of hsm! everyone was wearing "i love troy" shirts and had purses with the same thing written on them...it was DISGUSTING!!!

I never liked highschool musical. Yeah some people have started to talk about owl city now and like him and the same thing happened to cobra starship and the only song they know is good girls go bad and when i mention another song to them they are like what?.

UGH! High School Musical! Gross! It's NOT real high school, I can tell you that! It certainly was a fad!

I agree with Liberty that Twilight is a HUGE fad! I, myself don't like it. But it seems like everyone does.

Clothes always have their own fads too. But I like the styles this year, because you basically can wear anything, and you're still in style. And more feminine things are coming back in for girls. YES! And I'm SO glad the 80's clothes aren't in! EWWW! It's so funny to see my mom and her family in old pictures & make fun of their puffy hair!

Hm, one fad which still annoys me is the Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana fad. Haha.

actually some 80's and 60's stuff is coming back- i went to a store the other day and the juniors section had clothes with shoulder pads! eew...*shudders*

For the past couple of years here it has ever been emo bright or plain stuff you can wear not like anything frilly and also those checked skirts which were in, in 2004 are coming back into style. I usually wear bright stuff with cartoons on them.

plaid used to be in where i live but now it's not. but i wear it anyways b/c i like it . leggings with skirts are in now. and layers. and i do wear those alot but not neccesarrily in a fashiony way . ruffles seem to be getting more popular too. more girly stuff. but i'm not a huge fan of pink and frills, although i do dress pretty femininly

I never wear dresses and only where pink that isn't that horible light pink. Lucky zelda has never been a fad.

i wear dresses and skirts fairly often but not in a way that's super girly cutesy if you know what i mean. i have a black skirt that i wear with grey leggings and i wear that alot, and just throw on a tshirt and a sweater...

another fad would be stupid meaningless pop songs (ino lady gaga, ke$ha, etc...). can't stand this fad either...
