WHAT!?!?

I FEEL CHEATED!!!

I stumbled onto this thread, saw the poster and was like, Ooh, Matthews and Bilbo in a modern Sherlock; that sounds like it's made of epic win. So I looked it up on Youtube. Found the unaired pilot and watched that. Then I hunted up the episodes and accidentally clicked the third episode to watch first. Um...HOLY CLIFFHANGER BATMAN! I HATE cliffhangers! WHY WHY WHY?

*bangs head on desk in despair*

Now I'm all wound up, and the show doesn't even air again for months or whatever? WHAT!?!?!

I WANT TO KNOW HOW THEY GET OUT. NOW. NOT LATER.

/vent

;)

Yeah, I think I'm hooked. ;))

^^ Haha welcome Gymfan15!! :D Great to see another Sherlock fan!

You guys have a lot of funny quotes! :)

Question: Those of you who saw both episodes of "A Study In Pink" which one did you prefer most? The unaired one or the one that aired?

Lestrade: So, she was writing 'Rachel'?
Sherlock *sarcastically*: No, she was writing an angry note in German! *now annoyed* Of course, she was writing 'Rachel'!

Haha! I love that one! Especially because
"Rache", I believe is German for revenge. And =)) =))

Hahaha E+J, I love it! =))

Damsel: I like...the aired version better. I mean, don't get me wrong, the unaired one was brilliant, I just think the one they showed was better. What about you? :D

Oh hey, does anyone have any songs that may remind you of the characters of this show? For John, I think of Shattered by Trading Yesterday. Don't worry, it's not a depressing song at all. :) It definitely reminds me of him.

Funny you mentioned this, cause my sister & I were thinking of making a music video of Sherlock. :) And we were thinking of either Life in Technicolor by Coldplay (it's just instrumental), or Bullet Soul by Switchfoot. Life in Technicolor doesn't really describe the characters, of course, but musically it fits. Bullet Soul fits the whole series fairly well. Idk. What do you guys think? I've never heard the song Shattered. i'll have to check it out! :)

Hahaha no kidding, same here! Only, I was going to use Shattered as the song. I haven't heard either of those songs, but I'll have to give them a listen. How did you get the clips from the Sherlock episodes? I want to get the DVDs so I can have everything necessary, but I'd have no idea what to do about putting them on my computer for music video-making purposes. :p

^I'm in the middle of planning out 2 Sherlock videos myself too :) I'm going to make a Sherlock one about Sherlock using the song 'I'm Still Here' by that lead singer John Reznik (I think) and a Sherlock/John (friendship only, I can't stand the romantic pair ones) using the song "You're Not Alone" by Saosin.

Shattered is great choice MrsHolmes!! I can't wait to see that! Pendragon I can't wait to see yours either!! ;)

Gahh, I want to watch all your videos when they're done! Sadly, I don't have anything like a YouTube account where you could watch mine. :( Adler, I know exactly what you're talking about with the Sherlock/John thing. They're just friends for crying out loud! 8-|

But in the meantime, who else loves the character Molly? Poor girl! :p

^ I like Molly, she's adorable (as in she's really funny and cute personality wise) I love how she always gets all girly when Sherlock compliments her but in a way I feel sorry for her because she likes Sherlock and he doesn't feel the same way about her. :p

I thought it was funny when

Spoiler
Molly brought what she thought a man she would be going out with was Moriarty dressed and acted like a guy man only to gain access to Sherlock.
I was feeling 100 times more sorry for her! :(( =))

I also hope she'll be in more episodes and she gets a boyfriend. :)

Here's my youtube that consists most fanmade Narnian videos and in my favorites are a lot of fanmade Sherlock video's I loved, it should consist of Sherlock soon:

You can create an account. They're free and you don't have to put info out about yourself or anything. :)

But in the meantime, who else loves the character Molly? Poor girl! :p

Oh! I LOVE Molly! :D She's so adorable. I love her little "okay." :p I love how she's trying to ask Sherlock out to coffe, & he thinks she's just wanting to offer him some! :p He's so clueless sometimes...

So, last night I saw the unaired version of the pilot. Now, I have mixed emotions about it. The camera was teribble and so was the directing, but I think it was just kind of a rough form of the pilot. I DID NOT like the fact that POOR SHERLOCK WAS STABBED WITH THE NEEDLE! He was half dead when the taxi driver threw him in the car for Pete's sake! :(( I though it was kind of overly dramatic how Sherlock was stumbling around flat. But at the same time you felt really bad for him! :(

And he looked less...um...gohstly white! :p Sherlock actually looked alive! But I like that they made him rather pale in the seiries cause it made him look more...different? IDK how to describe it. More haunting and less human, I guess. In a good way though.

And he was wearing jeans. Not very Sherlock. :p Don't get me wrong, he looks fine in jeans, but it just didn't fit his character. But in this one I guess he's supposed to be less autistic and more human yet brilliant.

Also, I love how in the real episodes they set it in a modern time, but they make it feel old fashoined. The flat looks really 50's, & Sherlocks scarf and coat make him look old fashioned. And a few of the sets they have. It's just cool that they're able to capture that feeling. But that was an element missing in the unaired one.

How did you get the clips from the Sherlock episodes? I want to get the DVDs so I can have everything necessary, but I'd have no idea what to do about putting them on my computer for music video-making purposes. :p

I'm probably gonna buy it too, but there's a few differnt editing programs you could use. I use Windows Movie Maker 2.6, but I need another one, cause it keeps shutting down on me. X( So when I find a good program, i'll let'cha know! ;)

^ :) Pendragon let me know when you find a good version of windows movie maker as well! Everytime when I add too many clips I'll get an error when I try to save the movie as file because it's too big or something.

Hahahaha, sometimes I wonder if Sherlock is really as clueless about Molly's feelings as he seems! ;)

Yeah, the camera left a lot to be desired, and some of the lines/parts were kind of useless. I also didn't like the fact that whenever John was alone, there was that green lighting. It was sort of annoying. But then, it was a very rough draft of the first episode so. I actually kind of liked Sherlock pretending to be...err...not quite with it when he tries to make the cabbie drive him home. His little drum beat on the window was classic! =)) Also, the fact that he got stuck with the needle gave us more of an idea on how the others died. As for stumbling around. Well he was given a pretty good dose of whatever was in that needle, and he was in a half-state of unconsciousness. Of course, he could've been faking a good deal of that too. Who knows how Sherlock works? That's the fun part. ;)

Oh yes, Ben is very cute in jeans! ;)) Yeah, I guess the idea of the paleness was that Sherlock didn't really get out much unless he was involved with a case, plus I think in the restaurant there was the idea he doesn't really eat a lot. I did notice though that as the show progresses, more color gets into his face. All that running around, no doubt. :p

You're very observant, Pendragon! I never thought of the sets/Sherlock's coat and scarf. I guess maybe they thought the unaired one was a bit too modern and they wanted to spice things up with a couple of old fashioned things.

I don't think Sherlock is clueless about Molly having a crush on him, because if you remember in The Great Game he compliments Molly on her hair only to gain access to a body. I can't remember how it happens but it seems he does know about Molly crushing on him. ;)

Haha, very cute! :p I guess that's true that he didn't get out often or eat when he's on a case cause "digesting slows him down".

By the way, I had said before that we were thinking of doing Life in Technicolor & Bullet Soul. But I was going through songs with my sister (The Scribbler) & we decided on these:

Thunderstruck by David Garret
Sticks & Stones by Jonsi
Life in technicolor by Coldplay
Start Over by The Afters (sorry it's a music video!)

What do you guys think?
