Hahaha nice, a true, real-life Watson! Unfortunately, I can barely see any of myself in Sherlock, except maybe the same sarcastic humor, and the fact my eyes can also change color in different lighting. I think that's it.

Thank you very much, Pendragon! I'm also going down that route of being more observant. I know, of course, that I'll probably never get to Sherlock's level, but it's still fun to try.

Well I finally got started on my Sherlock video six days ago and finished it today. Then when i went to go and save it it wouldn't save my movie as a file .... ..........

I knew I should have gotten sony vegas, oh well. Sorry folks!

Thats awesome! I'm like Sherlock in many ways as well. i like doing things by myself a lot and take off like he does, easily impulsive like him and we're both the same when we get sarcastic.

I sort of missed the cap. I wouldn't have minded it if Sherlock wore a hat instead of caps but i got used to it.

I watched the movie Sherlock Holmes about almost two months ago and yes you're right the series deffinitely beats the movie for you and me at least. IDK what the others will have to say.

But I don't remember the deer-skin cap even being in the novels and short stories. Wasn't it one of the illustrators' who first portrayed Holmes that way? I didn't mind him not wearing a hat, I was too enthralled with his magnificent coat.

I don't know about the Sherlock Holmes movie. It didn't ring true for me. Here's my movie review:

Sherlock Holmes. It was good but far from great. I'm okay with reimagining a classic character, otherwise it becomes old hat. I don't think having Sherlock fight is going against his book character (there's more action in the books than many of the TV series/movies would have you believe). I liked the fact that Sherlock Holmes was still eccentric and became restless when not on the job. I just don't like Robert Downey Jr.'s take on Sherlock. The story was old hat and dull, there was too much action and not enough suspense and mystery. The attention to detail was admirable but most of the cast ruined the authenticity with their dodgy accents or lack of a British accent. The movie felt very American much of the time, despite all the costumes, sets etc. and some parts felt decidely modern. I enjoyed Rachel McAdam's portrayl of Irene Adlar but her acting wasn't anything special (she is lovable though). Jude Law was great as Dr Watson. There was some good action in there. In short, Steven Moffat's recent take on Sherlock Holmes is far superior. This is a decent movie but nothing special. 6.5/10

Rachel McAdams was my favorite as Irene Adler and Jude Law as Watson, but I get you a bit on Robert's Sherlock though and at times he did slip out of that British accent.

I actually adore the Sherlock Holmes movie. It's one of my favorites. I actually saw it three times in theaters (And we rarely go to see a movie in theaters even once). I'm not sure what you guys didn't like about Robert Downey Jr.'s performance... I thought it was great. Benedict Cumberbatch, I think, was probably closer to the book character. But I loved Downey's performance as well, and didn't see anything particular inaccurate about it...
I love Jude Law as Watson. But he didn't seem at all like the Watson in the books to me. Jude Law's Watson, in my opinion, was much too confidant and snarky to be book Watson. The way Doyle wrote Watson's character seemed more... I don't know... Martin-Freeman-ish, lol.
And I loved McAdams as Irene.

I haven't worked on my music videos at all, sorry! I thought I'd have more time after Christmas, but I was mistaken. Hopefully, I'll have more time after finals. (I hate finals!! ) Ugh...again, sorry to make y'all wait so long!

Oh no, Addler, that's awful! Please tell me you didn't lose the video! However, I'm glad I could find those screencaps for you. Haha you and I both share impulsive behavior, I see. I'm with Sherlock on the speak-first-think-later problem. Also, I can be a very messy person. Haha oh well, I'm working on it.

As for the Guy Ritchie film, I have seen it at least 10 times, I like it that much. Still, I think I like BBC Sherlock better for different reasons. I agree with Ithilwen on how Freeman's John seems to match Doyle's John better, but that's just me. And yeah, I think McAdams did a pretty good job as Irene.

In a minute I'm going to the Non-Narnian Graphics thread to post a couple of Sherlock things I made. Please feel free to look and tell me what you think.

Nope, as of last night I do not have the video anymore. I editted it in windows movie maker and it didn't save as a movie file so there was no way I could post my Sherlock video anywhere nor save it to a CD or USB Drive.

I tried sorting the clips differently because the video kept stopping when i would play it, cropped some scenes and some scenes I couldn't crop then I got so furious with it that I deleted all of it and walked away from my laptop. I'm going to have to redo it in sony vegas once I get it.

Announcing ... the change of this SF to an extended Special Feature, as the season continues. This will be handled much like the Extended "LOST" feature last year, closing down once the season is over. And even then, that doesn't mean we can't have another one sometime.

Quickly before it does, I'd like to happily announce that on Monday I ordered Sherlock!!! It should come this weekend! Yahoo!

And...I was reading the filmaker chat on the Masterpiece site, & people kept asking questions about the end of The Great Game (of course!), & they kept saying "Wait and see!". Booo!!! But they DID say that they're gonna start filming "May...ish". And they semi-confirmed Irene being in it, too.

Where did you hear this Pendragon? I never heard them confirming any auditions on starsinmyeyes and Martin will be consumed in filming the Hobbit. Granted I do want them to continue the series and they will I just didn't think it would come up this fast. I thought they would start this fall instead.

BTW congrats on ordering your Sherlock DVD!
