^ I did too! My friend got the DVD for Christmas & we watched parts of the commentary on the Great Game.
What I heard was REALLY funny though! I thought it was so halirious when Martin said that he had hit his head on his "freeway" or something, & Ben is like "That should be a song! 'Freeman on his Freeway!'" :p My sister has taken it upon herself to write this song. I have no idea how it'll turn out! lol!

Anyways, they all seem like really cool people. I was kinda afraid that they'd all be stuck up & like "Oh, I'm all cool & professional" & blah blah blah! :p But they weren't, or at least didn't seem to be. It was actually one of the best commentaries I've ever heard. Most people are just like "There's Bob's pick up truck that kept breaking down". Yay. :|

Damsel, I thought that was funny too! Moriarty always cracked me up at that part! :p

I hope your sister finishes the song--it sounds great!

I have to admit, that one line was good. Also the, "No you wooonn'tt!" line when he leaves the pool was pretty funny.

However, that part Sherlock says that people have died because of Moriarty and he replies, "That's what people DO!" I'm not sure about you guys, but I was a bit startled. I wouldn't have wanted to be in Sherlock's position there (or John's for that matter). It's a terrifying thought. :-s

As for the commentaries, I want to hear them so bad! There's an adorable youtube video of Martin and Ben discussing their costumes taken from the commentary, and it goes like this:

Ben: "I'm wearing Spencer Hall, which is fantastic..."
Martin: "Stop it! It's either Spencer Hart or Nigel Hall."
Ben: "Oh gosh, I keep doing that!"

Good old Ben! :p

That was kinda scary. I didn't expect him yell, so I kinda jumped a little in my seat.

I'm soexcited right now, cause the Sherlock DVD is on sale for 23$ at Walmart! :D EEK! I'm actually gonna buy it with my own babysitting money, so it feels more offical. :p I'm getting rather impatient right now to hear the rest of that commentary.... :-w ;))

Haha, that one emoticon Pendragon used that's impatiently tapping its fingers reminds me of Sherlock.;))

Ahh, I'm trying not to be jealous right now, Pendragon! :p I hope you can get the DVD soon. :)

By the way, has anyone read the article about how the characters--mainly Sherlock and John--got their costumes? It's really interesting/informative, especially if you want a glimpse into what kind of clothing the actors got to wear. If anyone wants to see it, I have a link. ;;)

^I would love to see, if you wouldn't mind. :) That's sounds cool. I know that the coat Sherlock wears (which I think is awesome, btw) was something like 1,000 pounds! ;;)

Ahh, I'm trying not to be jealous right now, Pendragon! :p I hope you can get the DVD soon. :)

haha! Well don't be too jealous, cause we went to Walmart yesterday & all my siblings were frantically searching the isle for it, & we didn't find it! :( So we'll have to order it online. Oh well. ;))

Haha, that one emoticon Pendragon used that's impatiently tapping its fingers reminds me of Sherlock.;))

Ah, you noticed! How obeservant of you! :p It looks like sherlock is waiting for John to get all his observations. :p

Sure! Here's the link right here: http://www.gqmagazine.co.uk/style/articles/2010-09/30/gq-style-news-dress-like-sherlock-holmes-and-dr-watson

Hahaha, I love Ben's and Martin's facial expressions in the photo at the top of the page! =)) It's quite funny though, because the idea behind Sherlock's wardrobe was that he didn't really care about what he wore. Yet there he stands in Spencer Hart suits. :p But I'm guessing what they mean is that, he just buys what he likes/fits into. Either way, I love that he wears nice suits so casually. ;;) Oh yes, and that wonderful coat! :D

Sorry that the DVD was unable to be found, so good luck with your next search. Looks like the game is on, eh? ;)

Bahahaha! Thank you very much, I do try. ;) Yeah, that's what it reminds me of! Or like if he's waiting for Anderson to finally understand his scientific deductions.;))

Thanks for the link, Mrs. Holmes! I really liked that interview. That picture at the top is so funny! I love the expression on their faces!

Last night, my sister & I came up with the idea of making a video of Sherlock lines totally mixed up to sound funny. these are all Sherlock talking/ arguing with himself, but were gonna come up with some when other people like John have lines too. Here are a few we came up with:

"Shut Up"
"Uuuhhhh.....NO!"
------

"You think it was the teddy bear, it was me!" [the words "teddy bear" & "me" will be edited it. Get it? ;) )
------

*Does deduction*
"Well, what do you think?"
"Well, really well. I mean you missed almost everything imortant..."
*hurt face*
------

*talking about the guy Gollem*
"...sqeezes the life out of his victims with his bare hands..."
"Doesn't mean I can't appreciate it"
-----

"I'm brilliant! I'm goregous! I'm four!"
"All that matters to me is the Teddy bear!"
------

So that's about it. If you guys can think of any that would be AWESOME! these are okay, but we made them up REALLY late last night! And just about everything at 11 pm is funny. :p Anyways, I hope that vid turns out well.

Hey guys! :)

I finally got my Sherlock DVDs out and started watching them again. I had forgotten how great and well-written the banter between Sherlock and Watson was. :D And I can't wait to listen to the audio commentary. It sounds pretty great from what you guys have said.

Oh, and I finally got some of those Sherlock graphics done! :D They can be found here -- viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2526&start=16#p130925

My dear Watson, you're back!

*Checks out graphics* Oh my gosh...Watson, may I just bow? Those are amazing! You used every great photo of Ben and John I can think of. I want to use all of them at once!

I wanted to tell everybody that I have successfully converted two more family members to love BBC Sherlock. Brilliant, no? ;D We're watching the last episode tonight, I think. Yay!

Pendragon I absolutely love the idea, and I want to see the video the moment it's done! As for lines, I'd incorporate Anthea somewhere into the mix, and maybe something about the Christmas dinners line. Umm, I was wondering, what's the "I'm four" line from? I don't recall that...oh! And definitely use the scene from Blind Banker where Sherlock pretends to be normal to get into Van c**n's apartment. This fanmade video might be of some inspiration for you--not to mention it's extremely funny. They used a voice over of Sherlock asking how people would describe them, and then the person who made it cropped the clips to make the characters act like they're really using words to describe him. Hilarity ensues ;)):

Hope that helps!

Oh, and speaking of Blind Banker, did anyone catch how a Chinese numbers in one of the photos Sherlock took was translated to '221'? I love when they throw those little details in! :D

I fell in love with Sherlock's coat too! It's a pity it costs so much. Would've loved one of my own.

I finally watched the third episode!!! :D
I also re-watched the episodes I had already seen. I had forgotten how much Watson's character had reminded me of myself... it's kind of eerie... I guess it's a good thing I have "Watson" as my nickname, haha! :D

I also posted some more Sherlock avvies in the Non-Narnian graphics thread. :)

So, what is everyone's favorite episode? I think my favorite is the first one, A Study in Pink. ;)

Favourite episode? That's a difficult one. Definitely not the second episode, that was easily the weakest of the three. I loved both episode one and three for different reasons. Still, the first is also probably my favourite.

I have to agree--A Study in Pink is my favorite, but The Great Game is almost a tie. Blind Banker was just okay, but definitely not horrible. I liked all of them. :D

:-o Oh my word! Those are amazing!!! Great job Riella! I love the lighting! I think my favorite is #11. Amazing...

I wanted to tell everybody that I have successfully converted two more family members to love BBC Sherlock. Brilliant, no? ;D We're watching the last episode tonight, I think. Yay!

Yay! :D That's awesome, Mrs. H! Very brilliant, indeed! :p

Umm, I was wondering, what's the "I'm four" line from? I don't recall that...

The words "I'm" and "Four" are in different scenes. He says "four" in A Study in Pink when Watson first sees Sherlock's flat. This is the real dialouge:

Mrs. Hudson: What about these suicides then Sherlock? Thought that'd be right up your street. Three exactly the same...

Sherlock: *looking out the window* Four

So, were gonna edit it so it's like he's saying he's four years old. :p I hope that makes sense. We got the idea from this video, when they mix up the lines to make it sound funny.

As for lines, I'd incorporate Anthea somewhere into the mix, and maybe something about the Christmas dinners line. And definitely use the scene from Blind Banker where Sherlock pretends to be normal to get into Van c**n's apartment.

I was trying to think of some ways to put those scenes in, cause I just LOVE them! But so far nothing. I really wanna use the line when Mycroft says "He does love to be dramatic". =)) Maybe I'll show him running around & being all dramatic & stuff before he says that. ;))
I love that video, btw! That's kinda what I was going for.

Oh, and speaking of Blind Banker, did anyone catch how a Chinese numbers in one of the photos Sherlock took was translated to '221'? I love when they throw those little details in! :D

I actually didn't. Great observations, Mrs. Holmes! :) My sister was just telling me how she's been trying to be more observant, & to practice, she's been closing her eyes & trying to remember as much detail about the room as she can. I think I'll try that...;))

I finally watched the third episode!!! :D
I also re-watched the episodes I had already seen. I had forgotten how much Watson's character had reminded me of myself... it's kind of eerie... I guess it's a good thing I have "Watson" as my nickname, haha! :D

I'm so glad you watched it! :) I love that one. How does Watson remind you of yourself?

So, what is everyone's favorite episode? I think my favorite is the first one, A Study in Pink. ;)

Oh dear...that's a tough one. I really love The Great Game. It has so much humor (the beginning!! =)) ) and action and Sherlock does so many cool deductions. I think that one's probabaly my favorite. I LOVE A Study in Pink, too. And The Blind Banker. That one's good. I think I like The Great Game cause it's so confusing & you can watch it multiple times & catch different stuff. And it has the confrontation scene with Moriarty. Love it. :)

I actually preferred the first too over the last one. I didn't care for The great Game that much.

So, that guy was Moriarty... weird. I didn't expect Moriarty to act so... odd. I pictured him more menacing than he was, and less wacko than he was, lol.

I thought someone on here said they thought Molly was secretly Moriarty? Or am I remembering wrong?

Oh, and thanks everyone for the compliments on the graphics. :D

Pendragon, I can't wait to see that video! :)

How does Watson remind you of yourself?

Umm... a lot of reasons I suppose. A lot of it is expressions and reactions. Whenever something happens, I think what I would say or do in that situation, and then Watson does that exact thing, lol. ;)) At times, I can say word-for-word what he's going to say next, even when I haven't seen the episode before, because it's what I would say. The tendency he has to like bad events because it's exciting is also something I share. Plus, I also keep a blog about interesting stuff that happens to me. So yeah... I'm like him in a lot of ways I guess. ;)
