I's trying not to be jealous of all you who have nice warm weather, it's more or less warm here, but it snows at least once a day, sighs, I guess I'll just have to learn patience spring should come sometime....soon (I hope)

Today was like 80 degrees, but last week it was like 40. I don't understand!!! We all thought the weather was finally going to warm up, but then it snows on April 1st! (Nice April Fool's Day joke, God!) Tomorrow it's supposed to be like 60. Please tell me when I can break out my shorts and flip-flops!
I know how you feel Lilygloves! It was snowing right now . I thought that the end of the world was going to come in 2012, not 2011

But isn't snow kind of fun this time of year? It's going to be 70F/21C today, but we're going to get snow this weekend. At least it doesn't last long this late in the season.
One storm model is even indicating up to a foot of snow just southwest of here. The kids can make one last snowman.
If the night sky is clear where you live over the next couple days, try checking low in the north (or south, if you live in the Southern Hemisphere) for Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) or Australis (Southern Lights). They were reported as far south as St Cloud, Minnesota, this morning (latitude around 45N). Aurora pictures, and the auroral oval (maps showing probability of seeing the lights based on your location) can be found on the front page of http://www.spaceweather.com
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
*wishes she lived in St Cloud Minnesota...*
Just in case I'll keep one eye open
So past two days it was warm and rainy... today it was cold and sunny...
Does that make any sense?
Well they do say Oswego has its own weather...
@wildrose and De_De... do you two live in the far north? Or are you more in the middle of the Northern Hemisphere? Did that make sense?

I'm not usually one to talk about the weather. In fact, I'm not even sure if I've ever posted in this thread before. When you live in Kansas, there's just not much that surprises you.
However, this is a new one for even me. Here's the current radar of Kansas.
I'm approximately where the marker is on that map. It's 75F at the moment. In western Kansas along the Colorado border, it's snowing. That's about a 3.5 hour drive away.
So I shall be spending the rest of the day bracing for the likely mass of tornadoes rolling through my state.....
So after it being over 75 yesterday, it's not going above 40 today. Good thing there are such things as Chai Tea, good books, blankets, and wood stoves! But I'm REALLY hoping we don't get any snow.

It snowed again today but the snow is melting which is good, I just hope the sun comes out soon (we've had clouds for about a week it's rather grey because of the clouds)

It's warming up hear although it occassionally threatens to become cold again. I'm still carrying my winter jacket around because I feel naked without it. Does anyone else feel that way after winter?

We had a couple of warm days all the snow was gone but now it is snowing again. I love the snow but it is time to be done with it. Roller coaster weather drives me nuts. And I just mopped my floors and got rid of the traces of snow melt / salt etc. *sighs* That is probably why it is snowing.

Haha yeah I tend to over dress throughout the spring, so used to the cold.
Today was horrible. Cold, windy, cloudy, snow... after 2 weeks of really amazing warm days.
Come oooooooon summer!!
Well, it snowed this morning, but it's so warm that even though its still steadily snowing, there's nothing on the ground. *sighs and echoes TheGeneral* COME ON SUMMER!

Speaking of snow...we had heavy snow late Friday night into early Saturday morning, but only a couple of inches accumulated. It had all melted by Saturday afternoon. I understand the southern suburbs got more (up to 5 inches/13 cm), while the really big totals (over a foot) came in the Dakotas and Nebraska.
This storm also spawned the large tornado outbreaks in some states east and southeast of here.
Snow remains in our forecast for the next few days, but I doubt we'll get enough to shovel.
Ironically, our trees are starting to bud out despite this cooler weather; soon I'll be sneezing from their pollen.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Over a week with no weather news? Inconceivable!
We got about 4 inches of snow last week but it promptly melted. Today is a cool rain that may change over to snow tonight. Nice way to end April.
In other news, the shuttle Endeavour is scheduled for launch this coming Friday in what could be the shuttle program's last flight (one more may come later this year but there appears to be some ambiguity regarding its financing). This could be the last chance to venture outside and watch the shuttle passing through your sky as it chases the International Space Station. The timing is especially good if you live in North America; during May the ISS tends to be conveniently visible after sunset (see more here). Customized predictions for your location can be obtained at http://www.heavens-above.com (first, be sure to select your town from the site's extensive database).

It's been warm here in El Paso. Temps are in the upper 80's into the 90's but it's been very windy. Consistent gusts have picked up the dirt. It's not a total brown out but visibility in the city is not great.
