Whew was is hot today, when I checked the temperature it was 32 degrees Celsius (around 89 Fahrenheit I think, or something like that ) and that was when I was cooking dinner at 7:30 p.m. so I am guessing it was a lot hotter during the middle of the day. I really felt the heat when I was cooking dinner, standing by that hot stove in the stuffy kitchen, I had the windows open but that didn't help much. (Thankfully I discovered some leftover icecream in the freezer and my mom let me have some, a bit of sweet relief )

Today isn't as cloudy like yesterday was. It is very sunny today and is 89 degress now but the heating index will possibly go up today.
Just two more weeks, repeat, repeat.

Woo. Rain barely fell down today, I need you rain! Haha. It's scorching hot here!
I wish I could send you some.
The Good News: It rained today.
The Bad News: It rained today.
It was really muggy out, so it was a bit of a relief, but I don't think the plants can take anymore water. Everything is turning yellow

Yes, even though we need rain, too much can cause havoc as well.
wolfloversk, I saw your pic from the gardening topic as to what your shoes looked like after getting stuck in the mud whilst planting corn.
Today is a lovely breather from the humidity with a fresh breeze, clean air, and the temperature hovering around 24C/75F. With the fairly stiff wind, though, it feels cooler. This weekend brings yet more thundershowers, and, with the exception of a day or so at the beginning of next week, the mid-latter part we're to experience below-normal temperatures (in the higher teensC/mid-60sF). 'Tis okay by me, though.

This is one of the hottest summers I've ever known, and it is a real drastic change, just about a week ago it was rainy and cold (we would walk around in jackets) and now it's boiling hot. Temperatures are from 32C and up (And there is a serious lack of wind ) This will be the first time I go to the sea shore with my face already sunburnt

My pool is fixed Today is perfect weather to go swimming; sunny and 90 degree weather. I'm going to get my sissy's laptop and put it outside so I can swim and be on here at the same time!

Well, of course when it's hot you really are hungry for the rain to come and rescue your situation, but oh well. Rain is my savior if it comes tomorrow afternoon (but I hope not that hard)! I still don't get it, the heat is extremely not like before... *shrugs* Global Warming has maybe something to do with it.... or not.

Rain? What's that?
El Paso actually got a little rain the day before yesterday, but it wasn't much. We still hit triple digits, but it was just 100, not 105+. It still is supposeed to be triple digits until further notice. The only ray of hope is Tuesday when we could have a major storm him. It would be one of the two or three storms that deliver our annual rainfall.

I would feel sorry for anyone who's AC unit goes out where I live because my clocktemp. thingy says it's 95 degrees outside. I believe I will stay inside today.

It is 100 degrees today!!!
It was about 100 degrees the last two days. That's a cold front for what we've had the last four weeks.
And kittengirl, I've been there. Five years ago, my parents were out of town for a lot of stuff, including Katrina Relief, and early in the summer, our AC went out. My brother and I endured almost an entire El Paso summer without AC. The coolest we were able to get the house was 87 degrees, and that was only at 6:00, just before the sun came up. That was total misery.

I would love it if it rained. I do get thunder and dark clouds with lighting passing over almost two times a day, but there has not been any rain in almost two weeks were I love. I want some rain!

It's been summer here the last month and a half. We are closing in on 4-weeks of 100+ degrees, and that's not just barely 100. I'm talking averaging 105+.
That's just...incredible! *melts*
It's been hot and humid here, with lots of rain. On my way home from camping in Wisconsin late last night, there were torrential rains and spectacular lightning. Much of the ground around here is saturated and flash flooding with tonight's rain is possible.
Once again tornado warnings are currently posted for cities just south of me - including areas in southern Minnesota which were hit by 11 tornadoes last week in the outburst I mentioned earlier. Officials have confirmed that the biggest storm was an EF-4 that was on the ground for 21 miles.
Once this front passes we should have several days of truly spectacular weather.
*reads jo's earthquake account with interest* Glad you're all safe!
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Today was the first sub-100 degree day I can remember since school let out. With our desert monsoons (as oppossed to tropical monsoons) coming upon us, the next week is only suppossed to be in the mid-90's with rain chances forcast every day. We can get 98% of our annual rainfall in just one or two of these storms, so went it does rain here, it dumps.
As long as it doesn't rain for the 4th of July. I'll be involved in my church's annual outreach as one of the El Paso parades ends at our front door. We are having an outdoor worship service, watching the parade, then having an outreach giving away hotdogs and giving kids carnival games to play. We expect to serve 1,200+ people. So pray for no rain that day.
Then in just 10 more days, I am leaving for Atlanta, GA for a week for the US Fencing Summer National Championships. I know it's hurricane season, but I'm not worried. I just hope the weather permits me to go out on my free time so I don't spend my entire week either at my hotel or at the fencing venue.
