Sorry for the double post, but I saw The Princess and the Frog last night. It was really good!!! There was a little too much voo doo in it for me and some of it might be kinda scary for little ones, but otherwise it was excellent. The music was great (if you like jazz), the story was a good old fashioned fairy tale, there were several funny bits, and several homages to other Disney things. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is wondering whether or not to go see it.
I'm glad to see another Disney purist who enjoyed The Princess and the Frog. I was pleasantly surprised; I was afraid it would end up being just another modern Disney movie like Lilo and Stitch but was very happy to see that it was very much in the style of the old Disney classics. I do agree that the voo doo was a bit over the top; I would have thought so if it wasn't a kids movie, so the fact that is was only made it worse.
I haven't posted a list of my favorite Disney films here, mostly because I think my list would end up including most all of them besides, perhaps, a few of the newer ones (Lilo and Stitch, Hercules). My absolute favorite would have to be Beauty and the Beast, but after that I'm just not sure; there are so many great ones, old and new. I watched Snow White recently and was honestly a little bit shocked by how much I enjoyed it; since I hadn't seen it in forever I was afraid I had a fonder memory of it then it warranted, but that was not the case. Even from the very get go the stories, the songs, and the characters were fantastic! I should have known better then to doubt the movie that started it all.

RE: The Princess and the Frog: I'm still not so keen on watching it, because of some reviews; this is literally the first place I've seen positive views on it. Maybe we'll watch it sometime to give it a chance...
Lately, we've been watching more Disney movies and it's interesting how much more you understand when you're older. My favourite still remains Beauty and the Beast. It's the most prettiest, happiest princess story! And the villian's pretty hilarious. Snow White is also really nice. =]
We also got a chance to watch Peter Pan. I know this is really embarassing for me as a book purist to say, but I liked it much better than the ending and plot of the book. It had a less melancholy feel to it. But I'm no way biased to old Disney movies, even though I grew up with them...or anything.
*does not remember any movie coming out near to when she was born, although there might be some...*
Some favourites of mine are Aladdin, Dumbo (*sniffsniff*), The Lion King, ... there are a whole lot more.

I like a lot of Diseny movies, but Dumbo has always creeped me out! it's SO depressing and weird and it's sad!

I watched Princess and the frog lasst Wed, and loved it. I loved the time it was set in, the characters and musical numbers so much and the plot was good too.

OMGDISNEY!!! SQUEEE!!!
I am THE biggest disney freak ever. I adore everything Disney. The theme park, the movies, the Disney Channel, Radio Disney, EVERYTHING.
My favorite movies are Beauty and the Beast, Alice in Wonderland, Tarzan, the Pirates of the Caribbean, Narnia, and Cinderella. But I pretty much love all the classic movies.
I have a crush on Mickey Mouse. He is the cutest thing ever.
Chip and Dale are my favorite sidekicks. I used to watch thier shows when I was little.
Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida is my favorite place ever. I've been there 2 times and I can't get enough of it!
What are everybodys favorite things at Disney World? I love the Magic Kingdom, and walking along Main Street U.S.A. They have the coolest little shops there.

I've never been to Disney World, but I've been to Disneyland twice. I absolutely love Space Mountain, the Haunted Mansion, Madderhorn, Thunder Mountain Railway, and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. Man, now I want to go back again.
And Daylight, I can totally tell how much of a Disney fan you are by your avatars (the ones you use and the ones you make). 😉
I have to say that, although I don't know which movie is my favorite, my favorite Disney Prince is Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty, and my favorite villian is Malificent from the same. I just watched it last night and couldn't stop grinning... . I just love Disney, PERIOD!!

I have never been to Disneyland, but I would love to go someday! Oh, they have a lot of those same rides at Disney World in Florida! I know, talking about it makes me want to go so bad.
Sleeping Beauty is one of the first Disney movies I remember watching as a kid! I remember watching it with my dad and my sister and brother on our old ugly couch lol. That's such a good movie.
