I LOVE Disney!!!!
I live in California so I go to Disneyland quite often when it works out. I've been on every ride(except the mailboomer.....) and the new toy story mania which I wanna ride soooooo bad!!!
Thanks to my mom I have really old Disney stuffed animals like pluto, Donald, even a mickey from like...the early 1970s!!
My two favorite Disney movies are Mary Poppins and Cinderella!!! I just like those alot and Cinderella has always been my favorite Princess!
I think I may collect Disney ears I have like...at least 9...... I have them placed up in my room and everything!!
I LOVE DISNEY!!!
NW twin to Georgiefan! NW sib to 22!

I'm guessing you're not tall enough to ride the Maliboomer? (I've been on i several times--it's cool!)
And "really old...from the early 1970's"~~I'm from the early 1970's and I'm not really old!!!!
Do you ever go to the Disney Outlet store--you can get Mickey ears galore. They have the light up ones and the LE ones really cheap. There's one in Fullerton and one in Pomona and they have traveling ones, too. It would be a great place for your mom to get presents for you, sounds like!
Love God, love people
The first movie I saw in a theater was "Beauty and the Beast" when I was about 5. My dad took me! Fantasia scarred me as a child...Night on Bald Mountain....ugh! It's still really disturbing to me for some reason. But the rest of 'Fantasia" is amazing! Especially the Nutcracker segments.
I think "Mulan" is one of my favorite Disney films, though. She's just such a good character! I wish she was included in more "Disney Princess" type things...she's just so cool! Apparently when I was little, I used to pretend I was Belle, though. I guess I related to her because I'm such a bookworm. My favorite Disney Prince is actually Beast, too...not the Prince he turns into, just Beast.
Here comes a shock: I'm 21, and I've never been to Disneyland or Disneyworld...
"I didn't ask you what man says about God. I asked if you believe in God."
My favorites are pirates of the Caribbean(all 3 movies). I love Winnie the pooh. Tigers the best(my grandma gave me an original money tin. That she never used).
I love POTC! I liked the first two the best, though. The third one was a little overdone, IMHO.
I also love Winnie the Pooh.
Beauty and the Beast is my all-time favorite Disney movie. It's a beautifully told story.
As for Disney World rides, The Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, and Rock n' Roller Coaster( ) are my favorites.
"To know the road ahead, ask those coming back."
"Live as if your were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever."
Beauty and the Beast holds a special place in my heart; it is of course wonderful, and it was the first Disney movie ceppault and I saw in the theater together.
Love God, love people
I love Disney, but I hate Mickey Mouse. And Mickey Mouse ears freak out me. Seriously... I find them really creepy.
That said, I *love* Disneyland. I've only been once, but I told my husband that's where I wanna go for my 21st birthday, haha! Alas, I'm on the *other* side of L.A. from Disneyland, and am much closer to Universal.
In happy news - I finally saw Toy Story and Toy Story 2 when they were released in 3D last weekend. Loved them. First time I'd ever seen them, now I wanna go and re-do the Toy Story ride because I'll get it this time!
My favourite ride is the Indiana Jones ride. But the Matterhorn is awesome, too. Well, they pretty much all are, except for Splash Mountain.
Hmm... favourite Disney princess is Cinderella, second favourite is Belle.
But I think my all-time favourite Disney movie is the (unfortunately) not-too well-known "Newsies." It is amazing. (And has Christian Bale...) If you haven't seen it, you *really* really need to. *grin*
...understanding is a three-edged sword...

I live 325 miles away and I go to Disneyland several times a year! I can't believe you live in LA and don't go to Disneyland!!!! You can buy a Southern Cal annual pass and it would cost nothing to go in!!!!
I am also a fan of Newsies! I really enjoyed it when I saw it.
Love God, love people

I love that movie, my favorite.
I used to see it all the time when I was 8 or 9 yrs old. that was everyday all day if you let me. I got my family tired from it, one day I asked my mother if I could see a movie and she said yes "but not Beauty and the Beast"

Toy Story I love,
but forgive me, I have to say this if not it will eat me alive,
Toy Story is technically not Disney. Pixar made those movies, yes they're with Disney and all but it's still a separate entity.
Pixar movies:
Toy Story, A bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters' Inc, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille, WALL E, Up. Not including their shorts.
(I never count Pixar movies as Disney movies).
As for Newsies,
I saw that earlier this year for the first time and I it is worth watching.
I really did enjoy it. I'd never heard of it growing up.
I collect Disney pins (mostly Disneyland) and have since 1985 when I got a limited edition one (which was very rare back then). I have over 1000 pins. I specifically collect Stitch (I love Stitch), Disneyland, and the Disneyland (monthly) gift with pin purchase pins.
I collect the pins as well!!! The kinds that I tend to shoot for are the Bambi ones (Bambi's my favorite Disney movie). Sometimes I'll purchase the cheap packs of four to trade with the cast members so I don't have to give up my special ones.
I've never been to Disneyland, but go to Disney World a lot. From what I'm hearing, it has some differences to Disneyland as far as the types of attractions go because some of these rides people are talking about, I've never heard of before. I suffer from severe "Disneyitis" as well.
Love all of the old movies, not lots of the recent ones they've been releasing. If I had to choose a favorite, it would be Bambi. Oh...and the Narnia movies lest I forget.

I love Bambi
ps. Narnia was never really Disney. Walden Media is the true makers of it.
I'm tall enough for the maliboomer just never done it, though I know I'd love it, I like the feeling of my stomach dropping!
early 1970's lol sorry I didnt mean to offend you
I might need to check out that store!! but I do probably have enough(as my mom will say) and I like getting them @ Disneyland
oh on a school trip, I found these books that completely go through a ride showing how its make and everything! (matterhorn and Space mountain are the 2 I got!) cause they dont make those books anymore so they were a bit expensive but so worth it!! I learned the origional Space mountain opened on May 27th 1977 May 27th is my bday! (constant babblying, sorry I just like that!)

I never actually saw any of the Disney Princess movies until about two years ago! O_o I LOVE "Beauty and the Beast"! <3 But one of my absolute top favorite Disney movies is "Robin Hood"! Total funness! Oh, and the "Rescuers"...it was one of my favorite movies growing up! And "The Aristocats".
My siblings and I went to see the "Toy Story" movies in 3-D last night...love the movies, but of course, having seen them too many times to count before, it wasn't AS funny...still, it was great fun seeing them on the big sccreen.

Disney distributed Pixar films, just like LWW and PC, so true, they are not "Disney" movies; but in 2006, Pixar was bought by the Walt Disney Company so the two are one now. But I totally get what you are saying. (But Disney has the rights to the movies held tight in their hands )
We just got back from LA and I got to go on the Toy Story Mania ride for the first time. It's pretty much like Buzz Lightyear's Astroblasters, but with a more video game feel. It was fun. Someone told me it was the best ride in the park (DCA); I'll stick with Soarin' or CA Screamin' anyday.
Love God, love people

oh yeah,
I know their technically one now
But since each still, in most ways, work separately, I stubbornly refuse to call them one.
But anyways,
yeah I do also LOVE all Pixar films. Not one has too many flaws where I dislike it.
Most don't have any flaws IMO. Up is the one I am most critical about, and I did love it too, minus one or two things.
LOL!!!! (about Disney/Pixar)
Pixar has done excellent movies. I love their shorts as well. Since Disney can't seem to do any really good movies anymore. Some of the newer ones are okay, but some of them *shivers*--oh my.
They certainly aren't up to the standards of the originals. Or even the ones of the early 1990's. I watched Aladdin for the first time in a very long time the other day and forgotten how good it was.
Love God, love people
