I was a hardcore CSI fan for about 2 years and CSI Miami fan for 3 or 4 years. (Despite liking Gary Sinise, I thought CSI NY was horrible. ) After a while though, the cases got more and more unbelievable as did their crime solving technique. Then once they started introducing romantic interest between characters on both shows, I quit watching.
Nobody in here has mentioned this yet, and I don't think it's off-topic to do so, but does anybody besides me watch the TruTV cable shows? Forensic Files is my absolute all time favorite crime show because it shows real cases and how the experts solved them. DNA testing of trees... pulling a shoeprint out of a tomato... :O Stuff that really happened that lead to a conviction in a crime. Fantastic!
Shoeprint out of a tomato, fantasia_kitty? I'm interested now. I've seen the listing but we don't have the channel
I've only seen the newer CSI: Miami, and the characters just don't connect well or something. I never liked it. CSI:NY is unbelievable as well, not sure all the forensics are quite accurate haha!

Ah, crime shows.
Criminal Minds is my favorite, partially because they usually don't have a list of suspects that they go through (once you've watched too many crime shows or read too many mystery books, you can't be surprised), and because of the profiles. I love pretending i understand that stuff.
The Mentalist is another one i like. I really appreciate that Jane isn't always pulling the wool over the eyes of the CBI people, even though they don't always stop his law-bending methods. And i have to say, i really liked when
I don't get cable, so i've only seen a handful of Psych episodes, but i enjoyed the ones i saw. I'm going to try to watch it on-line when the new season starts up.
I've caught a few episodes of Bones, and though i didn't like it at first it's grown on me. I can't stand any of the CSIs any more; i may not know (or particularly care) about all the inconsistencies in crime shows, but the unbelievability factor is just too high for me in those ones. Not to mention sometimes they get kinda saccharine.
I like the occasional L&O or one of its spin-offs (i've seen most of the early episodes of L&O:CI), but sometimes the political-ness of it gets to be a bit much.
And now the older shows - i used to watch Matlock every day (re-runs), and i liked it then, but i can't really stand it any more. I've only seen a few Columbo episodes, and those were okay, but they don't have a lot of re-watch value for me.
Has anyone seen the previews for the remake of Hawaii Five-O? I'm not a fan of the original series, though i've seen a few episodes, so it was hilarious to watch clips from a very modern-looking TV show while hearing stuff like "Steve McGarrett", "Danny Williams" and "Book 'im, Danno."
This is a long, rambly post. If you read all of it, you get a cookie.

Maybe I'm old school but I used to watch Kojak...he used to always have a lollipop and said "who loves you baby." lol! that was also a good one!

I'm starting to rewatch Criminal Minds from season 1 and already I'm almost done with that. I just love this show, my whole family does.

I've just gotten into The mentalist. i've watched two episodes by far of it. I'm probably going to have to buy it on DVD because I can tell that I've missed a lot but it seems very entertaining i'll say.

I forgot to tape the finale for Criminal Minds on Wednesday. Does anyone know when this episode may rerun?

I have only watched crominal minds a couple of time, I am just not really into it. Anyone heard of foyles war?
I wasn't a big fan of the Criminal Minds season finale. Ugh, just kinda boring, and I honestly didn't care about what happened to the characters. One or two of their recent episodes have been getting better, but for the most part the show just isn't as good anymore. *sniffsniff*
IlF, I LOVE Foyle's War! My family is an enourmous fan of that show.

Awsome, i thought no one else on here would watch it. I only have watched the last season, so i might get out the dvds to watch the rest.
Would Matlock be a crime show? I think it would be. Anyway, it's like my top favorite crime tv show. I love when he finds out who murdered whoever then explains it in court! I think Matlock is wonderful!
