Does that mean that if a rapture comes that I definitely won't be included in any heavenly bliss? Does that mean that I will also get 'what is coming to me'?
Why would that happen?

The May 21 bandwagon recently visited my state, as reported recently in the Duluth News-Tribune. It's noted that this same group predicted the end of the world in 1994.
Apparently it's claimed that the rapture will occur at 6 pm local time in each time zone, rolling around the world hour by hour. So it's a little while yet before the easternmost time zones are affected (the World Clock is a handy place to compare times around the world).
Not much theology in this post. "No man knows the hour" works for me.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Well it's 11:00 PM here... so I think stargazer, "No man knows the hour" works for me too

My sister, cousin and all of their friends are freaking out about it because they told them in school(which I think is kinda inappropriate to tell a bunch of 6th graders that lol). But who knows when the end will come. I just feel bad seeing my little sister and cousin freaking out and being so scared /=

I am still alive. whats this?
Guess what, so am I alive! Any justice in the world I'd be the first to go, seeing as I am old enough to retire. Oh yes, it is nearly 9.00 pm May 21st 2011, Australian Eastern Standard Time. Set your watches folks.

I had a strict upbringing.
Wow, I read about ad-campaigns and the sort for the alleged "rapture" today have been going around in the US.
The only thing we got in Austria was an article today mentioning it briefly, along with trying to explain why people are so gullible, how the whole thing works as a business for the people involved (who apparently got quite a sum out of this!) and how they said the same thing in 1994.
This is one of the times where I have to say this (and please don't take offense):
Only in America
No offense taken here, Reepi.
I do hasten to add that the vast majority of people here see this as a media circus or novelty, rather than being taken in by these claims.
(I do sympathize with those who are, or have, children who have been told this. Not only are they going to be stressed out all day today, but once tonight comes and (assuming) nothing happens, they may face a crisis of faith: what to believe? Trusted adults told me the end was coming, and it didn't).
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Agreed stargazer, and to top that off now not only is Christendom (since we are lumped in with these people in the eyes of many, like it or not) the laughing stock of the world but now I'm seeing people openly question Christ's return and even verbally laying down challenges for God to do something if He exists. This is dangerous ground to tread on and yet they're out there doing it.

I honestly pity the waste of those 110 Million Dollars that were used for the ad-campaign and the people who donated or bought Campings books which are now a total waste and could have been used for a much better purpose, as well as the other kinds of damage (As Shadowlander puts it) done as well as things that might happen now because of it not happening (such as at least 1 reported suicide related to the 1994 rapture when it didn't happen).
Actually it was November 1992 when this end of the world business was last mentioned, not 1994. One of my children had to start her HSC on that day. So the end of the world did sort of happen for her and the approximately 60,000 other candidates on that day.. As it does every November.
At least this time was a weekend.
I've heard Matthew 24:36 get thrown around a lot in the last few days, but I think Matthew 24:44 is even more fitting:
"Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect."
(Matt. 24:44 emphasis mine)
The church should read the whole chapter of course. Honestly if they actually read their Bibles cover to cover instead of scouring it for some Secret Code (The DaVinci Code anyone?) they would know this.
I feel really bad for the followers of Harold Camping. I think, like other cult members, they must have been desperate and just got swallowed up in something much bigger than themselves. Some people spent their entire life savings to fund this campaign.
Think of how these people must feel right now. They are probably devastated, having a crisis of faith, and are now the laughing stock of the world.
I pray that these people will humbly see the error of their ways. I hope that they learn from this mistake and that it doesn't completely shatter their base faith.
I hope they don't do anything dangerous in their sorrow.

Wow massive fail by me... For some reason I thought yesterday was supposed to be "doomsday" XD Can't believe I didn't realize this 'til now...
Ah well either way I'm still here

What I like about world's end predictions is that I know it won't be that day, because I highly doubt God would want to prove them right.
