for the last week or so I've been listening to a few chapters of the Dramatized Audio Chronicles of Narnia

I tend to imagine me and my freinds going on some great adventure- I know a bit childish perhaps, but many a story has been born that way.

If not then I dream of Narnia &NW

I'll chat with a few friends, surf internet and I always do a few exercises before going to sleep. Exercise before sleep really helps my heart relax and it makes me fall asleep quicker.

edit: lol DamselJill! I'll never forget the time you fell asleep in your own hallway when it began raining. =))

I usually have homework late into the night, so most of the time I pass out before I even get to the bed.

I massage my face before going to sleep, it makes me feel sleepier.

I tend to listen to music and write in my journal, read my Bible a bit. Then I end up in almost exactly this state:

I actually have a problem falling asleep because I think so much before I go to bed . I seriously lie awake in bed in the dark for a couple hours every night thinking. About my feelings, the day, whatever. I like doing it because I sort out my heart and mind but at the same time I never get enough sleep .

I have exactly the same problem.. some nights it's fine, and I like lying away thinking, but when the thoughts won't go away, or it's really hot and I can't sleep, that's pretty horrible. :p If I'm worried or nervous about something that's going to happen the next day, I usually can't sleep either.

I have this problem too, sometimes. I find that just thinking on mundane, unimportant things usually clears the brains out enough for sleep, although sometimes that devolves into the subject matter for your initial dream ;)). And is it just me or does anyone else feel like they spend the entire of the night (or day in my case) dreaming? I can't remember the last time I had dreamless sleep...maybe as long as 20 years ago.

My wife says I jostle around quite a bit in my sleep. A few mornings ago I was having a vivid dream in which a group of antagonistic folks were giving me grief and threatening me. Then I came into possession of a super suit (you know, like what superheroes wear) and I was thinking 'Oh yeaaaah' B-) . So the group of antagonists returned and were preparing to rough me up, and I was just grinning like a wolf in my dream (because now I was not only impervious to damage, I was also super strong and agile) and as I reached out to grab the leader by his shirt and rough him up a bit back my wife woke me up and asked me why I was clutching her blanket and shaking it.

Seriously...I have to stop watching Spiderman and the like before bed! :-$

Pray with my family.

Of course I brush, and other "essentials'. But that is a must.

Usually, I will sit on my windowsill with so tea and look either down at the earth or up at the sky, then while still siiting ther I will either draw, read, write or work on my graphics on my laptop. Then I will pray for a bit crawl into my bed a go to sleep.

I would wash my face and sweep the floor before going to sleep, just enough to make me feel clean.

We have prayer as a whole family and then I brush my teeth and read a chapter from the book that I'm reading while lying in bed. Then I go to sleep.

"Are you sure you're eighteen?"
"Why? Do I look older?"

sandyentersNarnia, I daydream before going to bed as well. :p
Thats when I get my best story ideas. :)
I read as well.
I need the room to be completely dark to be able to go to sleep.
