Welcome, NarniaWeb artists! This is the place to post any non-Narnian art you have made (excluding graphics created on the computer; for those, please visit the current Non-Narnian Graphics thread). In this thread you can get feedback and give constructive criticism on other members' work. This thread can also be used to discuss artists you admire.

Well, I guess I'll be the first one to post a couple of drawings! :p

Here are are a couple of Twilight ones I've recently finished. I may have posted them before, but I can't remember, so I'll post them again.

Nice work bri. I think the Jasper one is the most successful, the features are quite a bit more accurate and realistic.

All I've got to offer right now is some recently scanned sketchbook pages. I'm working on a new still life in oils that should be done soon.

Mostly studies for the summer project I have to do :)

Those are really good, Shantih! I especially like the first and last. You do eyes really well. :)

Brio, I like Jasper's hair, and some of the shading on Rosalie's face. Faces are about the hardest thing to draw for me.

*is going to have to agree that Shantih does amazing eyes* They're very moody. I also love the skull in the third picture down! You drew it in such perfect detail and it has so much depth!

So I learned tonight that it's harder to paint an acorn than one would think. :p It didn't come out too poorly, it's just not very clean. The cap especially looks strange. I think I actually overemphasised some of the details.

I am amazed, being someone who can't draw. Those pictures are just amazing, wow

wonderful work, briofthesilversea! the eyes stand out =D

wow, Shantih, those are well-done sketches, I like your shading and the second skull looks really cool.

these are a few of my drawings. I like to draw cartoonish, haha and even some of my more "realistic" drawings still come out cartoonish :P

Nice drawings, SweetV. I don't think I've seen you post anything for quite a while! :)

Here's the painting I was doing -

It's around 6x8", on primed greyboard. I didn't get to spend as long as I'd like on it as I went away for a few days but I'm still pretty happy with what I learned doing this.

Here's my set up halfway through -

Thanks, Shantih! (: I know, I have been quite busy with life! o.O
Wow, that is really cool! I really like the shading and the colors you chose. The soft blue is a great compliment to the skulls.

I have a few more drawings to share:

I'm still working on improving (haha of course). :D

Shantih, on the old forum we had discussed turning both the picture and the sketch book upside down to draw a more accurate drawing. Well, I tried it and it worked amazingly! Thanks for tip! :)

Glad it helped, bri :) I think those sort of tricks force us to stop assuming we know what stuff looks like, if that makes sense.

Here's a detail from an illustration for my course, we have to do two double page spreads based on one of the books we were given to read over summer. I've been trying a few different things on Photoshop from how I normally work and I think it's coming out ok.

Wow, you guys are amazing! Shantih I absolutely adore your artwork, your horses are amazing. You have everything done perfectly! :-bd

bri Your Twilight ones are good.. I'll agree with Shantih that the Jasper one looks the most like the character.

SweetV You're really good at drawing cartoons! I also love your signature, by the way. Mine always ends up looking like a two-year-old wrote it. :p I really like your tiger in the one with a bunch of different cartoons. Great work! ;)

Here are two drawings I did of Padmé and Anakin for my friend.. Yesterday and the day before was my first time picking up a pencil in like...ages! I'm surprised they came out as good as they did. I don't have a scanner, so I just took pictures and made the contrast greater. Hope you like them! Tell me what you think!

Aravanna, I love your acorn! It's so lovely. :) I would love to use cards with that printed on them. :)
Shantih, I really like your skull (or whatever those pieces are!) painting. So pretty. Your sketches are excellent also, as usual. :)
lilsis, I like the hair in particular on the Padme sketch. :)

I have no idea why I'm embarrassing myself by posting this, but oh well. :P My younger siblings and I got out some paints the other night, and started trying to paint. I have no idea what kind of paint I used-I think it might have come from a paint-by-number I had once? :-s The paints were pretty much dried up, but I got them watered down a bit eventually. I know nothing what-so-ever about painting (how thin the paint should be, what sort of paper/canvas to use, shading . . . nothing!), so please keep that in mind when looking at the rather terrible painting below. I only like it because of the sky, I think. Please forgive the scratching and misplaced blots, not to mention the way gravity is defied or whatever. :P ;))

I just dropped by here quick--I really like the drawings and paintings and such that all of you have posted! :D

Shantih, for some reason I think that the girl in the first sketch that you posted looks just a tad bit like you... :p

Destined: Hehe, I just had to comment--I like your painting. ;)) Painting with color-by-number paints is kind of hard in my opinion... We always have waaaaay too watery paints. :p Or rock hard. But I like the sky too!! :D
