Welcome to the Pixar Special Feature opened in honor of Brave's release approaching and in general celebration of Pixar-ness! Are you a Pixar Fan? Did you recently get into Pixar? Have you been a long-time Pixar fan since the first installment? Wherever you may fit, this is the one thread where we’ll talk about what some hold to be the most remarkable Animation company in history.
Pixar was started in 1979 and its initial founders included John Lasseter, Ed Catmull, and Steve Jobs. Pixar soon became a leader in the revolutionary art of Computer Animation. If you want to know more about Pixar’s foundation, The Pixar Story is a brilliant documentary that details the origins of Pixar. After some time, in 1995, they created a timeless classic – Toy Story. Since then, they have produced twelve feature films with the thirteenth one appearing on the big screen this coming week, June 22.
They also concurrently make shorts, which they made before the first feature film, and now keep the tradition of shorts before each feature film.
The feature films are, in order of release:
1. Toy Story (1995)
2. A Bug’s Life (1998)
3. Toy Story 2 (1999)
4. Monsters Inc. (2001)
5. Finding Nemo (2003)
6. The Incredibles (2004)
7. Cars (2006)
8. Ratatouille (2007)
9. WALL-E (2008)
10. UP (2009)
11. Toy Story 3 (2010)
12. Cars 2 (2011)
13. Brave (2012)
(information from Wikipedia)
The shorts:

The soundtracks are also a big favourite and greatly loved in their own right.
Here they are with their respective composers:
Toy Story - Randy Newman
A Bug's Life - Randy Newman
Toy Story 2 - Randy Newman
Monster's Inc. - Randy Newman
Finding Nemo - Thomas Newman
The Incredibles - Michael Giacchino
Cars - Randy Newman
Ratatouille - Michael Giacchino
WALL-E - Thomas Newman
UP - Michael Giacchino
Toy Story 3 - Randy Newman
Cars 2 - Michael Giacchino
Brave - Patrick Doyle
There have also been some Pixar-related/centered media:
- PixarPedia (which ranges from younger kids to an older viewer. The beginning has detailed information on the movies and short films up until UP. The end pages are easter eggs, Pixar staples, and secrets of each of the movies revealed. It’s a really great book which I’d heartily recommend. (book)
- The Art of Pixar by Amid Amidi. (book)
- Pixar’s Treasures by Tim Hauser (book)
- And, of course, The Pixar Story (documentary)
There are a bit more, as I see on Amazon, but those are a couple of them.
So have fun discussing!
Here are some questions to start us off..
1. Which of the feature films have you seen?
2. Which of the short films have you seen?
3. Which of the feature films did you see first?

11. Any special way a Pixar movie has touched your life?
12. Do you look you for the Pixar staples? (John Ratzenberger in every film, the Pizza Planet Truck, A113) Have you found them/still looking for them all?
13. What are your favourite soundtracks by Pixar? Favourite Pixar composer?
For years, these films have colored our screens—Pixar films have always been a favourite in our home, before we really knew much about who Pixar was. The movie that really lit the spark and caused more interest in who these fantastic filmmakers were was Up (which I still hold, in my heart, as Pixar's finest film in every aspect.). We watched it and then realized that there was this stellar company called Pixar, and we found out that we liked most of their movies! We were excited when we found out Toy Story, Monster's Inc, Finding Nemo, and a whole lot of our favourites were by them. It's so hard to say which is my favourite. I do have some where I feel like I wish situations were handled better, but in every film, the artistic talent is ever-present. There's always something in the movie that makes me love it. Ratatouille, for instance, is not my favourite plot-wise; I do enjoy the art of the movie--the animation, lighting, and feel is beautiful. It makes me nostalgic. The soundtrack... the soundtrack makes my top 5. Even though I don't 100% love all of their movies and shorts, Pixar always has special place in my heart. The people behind Pixar seem like such fun, creative, and innovative people. The key thing about Pixar that I love is their character development and plot development. While animation is often slapped down as incoherent cartoons, Pixar has truly redefined it. To quote Brad Bird, "Animation is an art form, and it can do any genre." .... so I don't go into a soliloquy, I'll hit post and answer the questions later so as to not make this too long.

Is the Randy Newman credited as the writer of the songs for the early Pixar flicks the same Randy Newman who wrote and sang "I Love LA"?
I have enjoyed all of the Pixar flicks that I've watched thus far, but my enduring favorite has and probably always will be The Incredibles, truthfully one of the best made superhero movies out there. Sure it's a bit of a rip-off of the Fantastic Four (as Stan Lee has also said), but it's a great, fun trip through the secret life of a superhero and the psyches they would most certainly have to have. I enjoyed Cars and Wall-E too, but nothing reallly comes close to my favorite one.

1. Which of the feature films have you seen?
All twelve released films, and planning on seeing Brave.
2. Which of the short films have you seen?
All of the shorts, except the final two, Small Fry and La Luna.
5. Which is your favourite feature film?
Really tough, but my favorites are among:
Finding Nemo, The Incredibles and WALL E
6. Which is/are your favourite short(s)?
Geri's Game, Day and Night, and Red's Dream are among my favorites. And Jack-Jack Attack of course
7. Which is your least favourite feature film?
All very good, but my least favorite is Toy Story 2, although for a while it was Up.
They interchange sometimes.
8. Which is your least favourite short?
Of those I've seen, the only one I didn't enjoy was Your Friend the Rat.
9. Are you looking forward to Brave? Why/why not?
Of course I am. It's Pixar, that's why. And the story looks great too. Female lead for the first time too is a nice change.
12. Do you look you for the Pixar staples? (John Ratzenberger in every film, the Pizza Planet Truck, A113) Have you found them/still looking for them all?
Always look forward to these three, I have often found them, but not always. It's also fun to see things from past films, and possibly an upcoming Pixar film.
I've seen all the films except for Toy Story 3 and Cars 2 and, for some reason, Monsters Inc. (and of course Brave). So far, I'd have to say "Up" is my favorite, though that and Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, WALL-E, and the original Toy Story all belong to my absolute top tier of film favorites.
Feeling nostalgic, I watched the Blu-ray of the very first Toy Story last night, that being the first time I've seen that movie again in years. I was surprised to find just how much was said in the movie that completely went over my head as a child. The Blu-ray version definitely looks great, though. There's also the 3D version I might have to check out if I ever get a 3D HDTV...

1. Which of the feature films have you seen?
All of them except for Cars 2, Brave, and I've only seen half of Toy Story 3.
2. Which of the short films have you seen?
The ones that came along with the movies I've seen. I can't remember their names. And when I look at them on the list, I don't remember which one is which.
3. Which of the feature films did you see first?
The first Toy Story movie when it came out. I didn't like it that much. I wasn't a fan of Pixar until it released Monsters Inc.
4. Which of the short films did you see first?
Um... the first one I remember is Geri’s Game.
5. Which is your favourite feature film?
Monsters Inc. and Finding Nemo.
6. Which is/are your favourite short(s)?
Out of the ones I remember, For the Birds, Lifted, and Your Friend the Rat.
7. Which is your least favourite feature film?
I've never been overly fond of the Toy Story ones, The Incredibles, A Bug's Life, Up, or Wall-E.
8. Which is your least favourite short?
I don't remember them well enough to say. Sorry.
9. Are you looking forward to Brave? Why/why not?
Not too much. It just doesn't look overly interesting to me. I'm not dreading it or anything. I'll probably rent it when it comes out on DVD.
10. Anything in real life you've done/aspire to do that has been inspired by a Pixar movie? Such as an art project, a trip? (etc, or like, never given away your toys?)
I think Monsters Inc. fostered a special love for children in me. Ratatouille made me appreciate gourmet food more.
11. Any special way a Pixar movie has touched your life?
Besides the above mentioned things? Well, many of them have almost made me cry before. Pixar has a way of getting into your heart and pulling on something other movies can't get hold of.
12. Do you look you for the Pixar staples? (John Ratzenberger in every film, the Pizza Planet Truck, A113) Have you found them/still looking for them all?
Yes, and I think I've found all the ones I've looked for. I don't think I'm familiar with A113...
13. What are your favourite soundtracks by Pixar? Favourite Pixar composer?
I'm afraid I've never paid much attention to the soundtracks. Maybe I should look them up sometime.
~Riella
Aha! May I tip my hat to you Aslanisthebest?
&Shadowlander...Yes, this is the same Randy Newman. "I Love L.A." from the Trouble in Paradise CD in 1983.
_____________________________________________________________________
1. Which of the feature films have you seen?
All but Cars 2, Up , & Toy Story 3.
2. Which of the short films have you seen?
Uh, I'm not sure, I haven't really kept up with the shorts. It's been so long since I've seen a Pixar film...
3. Which of the feature films did you see first?
Toy Story. When it came out. ( )
4. Which of the short films did you see first?
I don't know...does the little lamp in the beginning count? I guess the first short to memory is the one with the little girl with the coin and the two musicians fighting for it...I think. Or maybe it was the bird one...
5. Which is your favourite feature film? I can't pick A favorite, but Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc. the Incredibles, and Ratatouille are the best. And Dory in Nemo. And Mater...(sorry)
6. Which is/are your favourite short(s)?
All shorts are funny. But I love the little girl with the coin.
7. Which is your least favourite feature film? Probably Wall-E. It was just...different. I'll have to watch it again.
8. Which is your least favourite short?
No idea whatsoever, considering I can't even remember all the ones I've seen!
9. Are you looking forward to Brave? Why/why not?
Yes & No. Yes, because: 1. They're SCOTTISH! & 2. Archery. Nuff said. No, because: There was one part in the trailer I didn't like so much.
10. Anything in real life you've done/aspire to do that has been inspired by a Pixar movie? Such as an art project, a trip?
Besides the fact that I still say to people: "You are a sad, sad, strange little man.........and you have my pity." ? Nope, none.
11. Any special way a Pixar movie has touched your life?
Not really.
12. Do you look you for the Pixar staples? (John Ratzenberger in every film, the Pizza Planet Truck, A113) Have you found them/still looking for them all?
Yes, I always look for them. But since I haven't seen all the films, I haven't seen them all...but I'll always look for them.
13. What are your favourite soundtracks by Pixar? Favourite Pixar composer? Ratatouille, Nemo, Monsters Inc. & the first two Toy Story's. "Andy's Birthday"Randy Newman. Of course.
"...when my heart is overwhwlemed, lead me to the Rock that is higher than I."
-Pslam 61:2
1. Which of the feature films have you seen?
Toy Story 1-2, A Bugs Life, Cars, Finding Nemo, Wall*E, Up, Monsters Inc, Ratatouille and The Incredibles
2. Which of the short films have you seen?
All the ones associated with the above.
3. Which of the feature films did you see first?
Toy Story... I think. I know I first saw "A Bugs Life" in the theater, but I'm pretty sure Toy Story was the one I saw first. Maybe.
4. Which of the short films did you see first?
See above.
5. Which is your favourite feature film? (if such a question could be asked)
The question can be asked. A toss up between Wall*E, Up and The Incredibles. Even though those three were animated films, they never felt like cartoon movies. I guess that's why I like them the best.
For pure nostalgia, Toy Story 1-2 and Monsters Inc. I remember seeing Monsters in the theater and of course loving Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal).
6. Which is/are your favourite short(s)?
Hands down "Lifted". The one short that had me LOLing through the whole thing. xDD
7. Which is your least favourite feature film? (if such a question could be asked. )
Again, such a question can be asked. O.K, I'll get a lot of flack for this, but... Cars and Finding Nemo. I felt both of these had some good moments, but I really don't understand the undying love people have for these two.
Granted, I still don't get why people prefer the first Night at the Museum over the sequel or hate on John Carter.
9. Are you looking forward to Brave? Why/why not?
I'm.... indifferent to slightly interested. Granted, I usually don't get super excited for ANY film, so this is about normal for me.
13. What are your favourite soundtracks by Pixar? Favourite Pixar composer?
Umm.... er..... Probably the soundtracks to my favorite three Pixar films. As for favorite composer, probably Michael Giacchino. Though, from the early samples, Patrick Doyles work on Brave may take the top spot.

^ Short tribute to James Horner (1953-2015)
1. Which of the feature films have you seen?
Everything except Cars 2 and, of course, Brave.
2. Which of the short films have you seen?
All except the newest two (Small Fry and La Luna)
3. Which of the feature films did you see first?
Toy Story when it was originally released in theaters back in 1995.
4. Which of the short films did you see first?
Let's see... I think it was Geri's Game (I believe it was in seeing A Bug's Life).
5. Which is your favourite feature film? (if such a question could be asked)
The Incredibles... the Toy Story trilogy as a whole comes in a very close second.
6. Which is/are your favourite short(s)?
That's a difficult question . Let's see... Red's Dream for one, because it isn't the happy, go-lucky story that you usually see in a short. Then, apart from that, I'd have to do with the shorts that are shorts on their own (with separate plots and characters from the feature films).
7. Which is your least favourite feature film? (if such a question could be asked. )
Cars. Meh, Nascar and race car driving just isn't my thing, so I didn't even bother with the second film.
8. Which is your least favourite short?
It doesn't exist .
9. Are you looking forward to Brave? Why/why not?
Yes. Why? Pixar never disappoints. And it will be nice to see how their first female lead plays out.
10. Anything in real life you've done/aspire to do that has been inspired by a Pixar movie? Such as an art project, a trip? (etc, or like, never given away your toys?)
Well, after seeing Toy Story the first time, I would quietly sneak back into my room to see if the toys actually came to life when I wasn't looking.
11. Any special way a Pixar movie has touched your life?
As an inspiration on making films the right way.
12. Do you look you for the Pixar staples? (John Ratzenberger in every film, the Pizza Planet Truck, A113) Have you found them/still looking for them all?
Yes. I especially like going back and seeing references in the older films as hints of what was to come (i.e. the Lotso teddy bear in UP). Yep, I think I've found them all.
13. What are your favourite soundtracks by Pixar? Favourite Pixar composer?
As a whole- The Incredibles- so I have to go with Michael Giacchino. Mainly because this is a complete orchestral score rather than the typical "sing-song" bits with Randy Newman- there's nothing wrong with this of course, but usually I prefer instrumental pieces on soundtracks rather than songs. I haven't heard anything for Brave yet, so I can't comment much for Patrick Doyle.

Ooh, Pixar! So much of talent, stellar movies, creativity and humility.
Now to answer the questions:
1. Which of the feature films have you seen? All of them! [Except for Brave, ]
2. Which of the short films have you seen? Ooh.. all of them, except Lifted and Small Fry [which sounded like it was funny ].
3. Which of the feature films did you see first? Hmm... hard questions, I think it was probably Toy Story. Forever, we would hold on to the idea that our toys are alive.
4. Which of the short films did you see first? The one I remember seeing earliest is probably Knick Knack.
5. Which is your favourite feature film? (if such a question could be asked. ) So hard to choose! Each one has different feels to them, so at particular moments you feel that you want to see a particular one over another... Right now.. I probably would say UP.
6. Which is/are your favourite short(s)? Boundin' makes it near the top, for sure! Aside from Knick Knack, Your Friend The Rat, and maybe one or two others, I enjoy them all! *now needs to some of these again..*
7. Which is your least favourite feature film? (if such a question could be asked. ) Least favorite, well.... I would say Cars 2. Animation, lighting, etc. etc. --Brilliant! It was the story development and some other stuff that had me say, "What was that? >.> "
8. Which is your least favourite short? HA. Um, Knick Knack.. and *takes a deep breath* It's not my least favorite, but Red's Dream was so sad.
9. Are you looking forward to Brave? Why/why not? Yes and no. Yes, because, well, it's another Pixar film, hoping for the best, hoping to get a good classic. But no for many reasons... one of them being some scenes in the trailers
10. Anything in real life you've done/aspire to do that has been inspired by a Pixar movie? Such as an art project, a trip? (etc, or like, never given away your toys?) Many attempts to play some scores, and some art projects. Of course, the toys and a soft spot for ants, fishes, and... cars? Not necessarily a soft spot, but hey, fun to watch when you're taking driver's ed right?
11. Any special way a Pixar movie has touched your life? Yeah, in many of the films you kind of stepped back and though, "Hey, that... was nice."
I have a new enthusiasm for animation and hope to succeed at it.
12. Do you look you for the Pixar staples? (John Ratzenberger in every film, the Pizza Planet Truck, A113) Have you found them/still looking for them all? During the second or third time of seeing it. Still looking for some.
13. What are your favourite soundtracks by Pixar? Favourite Pixar composer? UP soundtrack is amazing. Ratatouille is also a huge favorite. Bits and pieces of the others are very enjoyable. Giacchino has a great style: I really enjoy the tracks he's composed. Thomas Newman has a very nice "ocean" "starry night" feel in Nemo and in Wall-E. And Randy Newman's songs have a nice uh... "Toy Story" feel to them that are funny, yet also tear-jerkers.
Now... I need to see the movies again! Looking forward to other productions of a great animation studio!

~ Some parts of the Finding Nemo soundtrack are unspeakably gorgeous, but i also loved "You've Got a Friend in Me" and "When She Loved Me". I don't think i have a favorite composer, though.
Fun fact: a couple members of Pixar worked for the company that made the animated film The Brave Little Toaster (which wasn't Disney; they just distributed it). It has some similarity in plot to Toy Story 3 and also has a A113 reference in it. It's also a fantastic movie, in my opinion.
Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world’s grief. Do justly, now. Love mercy, now. Walk humbly now. You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it. - Rabbi Tarfon
1 Which of the feature films have you seen?. All of them except Cars 2, Toy Story 2, and of course, Brave. I think I saw Toy Story a long time ago, but I can't remember very well.
2. Which of the short films have you seen?. For the Birds, One Man Band, Jack-Jack Attack, and that one with the baby.
3. Which of the feature films did you see first?. I think it was Toy Story, which I saw when I was about four. But I don't remember much of that, so I'd have to say Monsters Inc.
4. Which of the short films did you see first? Jack-Jack Attack. I think it was an extra on The Incredibles DVD.
5. Which is your favourite feature film? (if such a question could be asked. ) This is a hard one. Definitely Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Up, Monsters Inc, Toy Story 3, and Wall-E. Not just some of my favorite Pixar movies, but some of my favorites ever.
6. Which is/are your favourite short(s)?. Jack-Jack Attack. Kari is hilarious.
7. Which is your least favourite feature film? (if such a question could be asked. ). I didn't really like Cars that much.
8. Which is your least favourite short?. I haven't seen enough of them to be sure.
9. Are you looking forward to Brave? Why/why not?. Kind of. I might just end up getting it on DVD.
10. Anything in real life you've done/aspire to do that has been inspired by a Pixar movie? Such as an art project, a trip? (etc, or like, never given away your toys?). Not really.
11. Any special way a Pixar movie has touched your life?. Up reminded me that 'ordinary' life can be an adventure too, and Finding Nemo remains one of my favorite father/son relationships in film.
12. Do you look you for the Pixar staples? (John Ratzenberger in every film, the Pizza Planet Truck, A113) Have you found them/still looking for them all? I never really looked for them, actually.
13. What are your favourite soundtracks by Pixar? Favourite Pixar composer? The only soundtrack I've really heard is The Incredibles, because the band I was in played some of the songs for one of our concerts one year.

I love Pixar!
Pixar has been with my basically my entire life (I was born in 1993 and Toy Story was released in 1995), and my admiration and enjoyment of their films has never ceased. I'm currently having a Pixar marathon in preparation for Brave.
1. Which of the feature films have you seen?
All of the released ones.
2. Which of the short films have you seen?
Ditto.
3. Which of the feature films did you see first?
Toy Story
4. Which of the short films did you see first?
I... honestly don't remember. Luxo Jr. probably.
5. Which is your favourite feature film? (if such a question could be asked. )
Such a tough question... I can't pick just one. My favourites are Toy Story 2, Monsters, inc, Finding Nemo, and WALL-E.
6. Which is/are your favourite short(s)?
Again, very tricky... My favourites are Your Friend the Rat, Luxo Jr., Presto, and For the Birds.
7. Which is your least favourite feature film? (if such a question could be asked. )
Cars 2 for sure. I still liked it (is it possible to dislike a Pixar film?), but it was a significant step down from the previous Pixar movies. Hopefully, Brave will set them back on track.
8. Which is your least favourite short?
BURN-E.
9. Are you looking forward to Brave? Why/why not?
I am, but I'm nervous. Cars 2 has shown that Pixar isn't infallible, and the rude humour in the trailers don't seem like Pixar's style. On the upside the animation looks gorgeous, I love Pixar, I love the Middle Ages, I love fairy tales, and I love Scotland. So, this movie will have to be exceptionally bad for me not to enjoy it.
10. Anything in real life you've done/aspire to do that has been inspired by a Pixar movie? Such as an art project, a trip? (etc, or like, never given away your toys?)
I still have many of my old toys even though I've long stopped playing with them. Toy Story was definitley an influence there.
11. Any special way a Pixar movie has touched your life?
Many times. Pixar movies can be enjoyed and can offer valuable insight during all walks of life.
12. Do you look you for the Pixar staples? (John Ratzenberger in every film, the Pizza Planet Truck, A113) Have you found them/still looking for them all?
I've always liked how Pixar includes a feature film, a short film, and (usually a sneak preview of the next film). Going to a Pixar movie is always quite the occasion.
13. What are your favourite soundtracks by Pixar? Favourite Pixar composer?
The Finding Nemo soundtrack is breath-taking.
1. Which of the feature films have you seen? All except Cars 2.
2. Which of the short films have you seen? I don't recall seeing either Hawaiian Vacation or Small Fry, though I am rather bad with titles so it is possible that I've just forgotten.
3. Which of the feature films did you see first? It was probably Toy Story. Toy Story 2 was the first one I saw in theaters though. I remember that quite vividly.
4. Which of the short films did you see first? Um, whichever one that's in front of Toy Story 2.
5. Which is your favourite feature film? (if such a question could be asked. ) Tie between Finding Nemo and Incredibles. I really liked Up too.
6. Which is/are your favourite short(s)? Boundin', One Man Band, and Lifted.
7. Which is your least favourite feature film? (if such a question could be asked. ) A Bug's Life, which is generally referred to in my family as Magnificent Seven meets American Tail.
8. Which is your least favourite short? I don't think I have a least favorite.
9. Are you looking forward to Brave? Why/why not? Yep, I am eager to see what they do with the storyline and a female protagonist. The heroine does sound a little stereotypical, but I still want to see it if only for Patrick Doyle's score since I've liked his work in every film I've seen that he's composed.
10. Anything in real life you've done/aspire to do that has been inspired by a Pixar movie? Such as an art project, a trip? (etc, or like, never given away your toys?) Nothing comes to mind.
11. Any special way a Pixar movie has touched your life? Not really, although the opening sequence of Up is one of the few parts of any film that has ever made me cry.
12. Do you look you for the Pixar staples? (John Ratzenberger in every film, the Pizza Planet Truck, A113) Have you found them/still looking for them all? I have yet to find John Ratzenberger in every film, but I'm still looking! I haven't spotted the Pizza Planet truck in Finding Nemo yet either.
13. What are your favourite soundtracks by Pixar? Favourite Pixar composer? Incredibles, Finding Nemo, and Wall E.
1. Which of the feature films have you seen? Every single one of them.
2. Which of the short films have you seen? A lot of them.
3. Which of the feature films did you see first? I'm pretty sure it was Toy Story, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
4. Which of the short films did you see first? I don't remember. I think it was For the Birds, but that's a guess.
5. Which is your favourite feature film? The Incredibles. Wall-E and Cars are close seconds.
6. Which is/are your favourite short(s)? For the Birds and Presto.
7. Which is your least favourite feature film? (if such a question could be asked. ) Gonna be burned at the stake for this one, but Toy Story 3. A close second is Cars 2.
8. Which is your least favourite short? One Man Band
9. Are you looking forward to Brave? Why/why not? I am actually, but I'm not going in with super high expectations. Most of the reviews I've read has lead me to believe that it's a good movie, but it's not a good Pixar movie.
10. Anything in real life you've done/aspire to do that has been inspired by a Pixar movie? Such as an art project, a trip? (etc, or like, never given away your toys?) Can't really think of anything at the moment.
11. Any special way a Pixar movie has touched your life? Not really.
12. Do you look you for the Pixar staples? (John Ratzenberger in every film, the Pizza Planet Truck, A113) Have you found them/still looking for them all? I do listen for John Ratzenberger, but I don't always succeed in picking him out. I can't remember which movie it was that I totally did not recognize his voice in. Might have been Up cause I can't remember right now who he was in there.
13. What are your favourite soundtracks by Pixar? Favourite Pixar composer? There are only two Pixar soundtracks that have really impacted me, and those are Wall-E and Finding Nemo. I get goosebumps every time I hear "Define Dancing". I guess as Thomas Newman composed both of those he'd be my favorite composer.
I also like the Cars soundtrack quite a bit.
So now that the questions are out of the way, gonna say really fast that I am looking forward to Brave. I don't know if I will be able to go see it this weekend or not. For reason I don't feel like getting into here, I don't really go to the movie theaters anymore... I just wait for the DVD to come out. But Brave is one of the two movies I'd like to get out and see (The Hobbit being the other).
A few weeks ago my family discovered the local drive-in theater so I may go see Brave there. Can't wait to hear what everyone else thinks of it.
1. Which of the feature films have you seen?
All except Brave and Cars 2
2. Which of the short films have you seen?
Most of them. Whenever the Short Films come on ABC Family, we usually watch them.
3. Which of the feature films did you see first?
Toy Story; it was my second film at a theater (the first was The Lion King).
4. Which of the short films did you see first?
"Geri's Game", and it's still my favorite.
5. Which is your favorite feature film?
All of them. There really haven't been any that I dislike, and only one or two that I like a little less.
6. Which is/are your favorite short(s)?
"Geri's Game" and "For the Birds"
7. Which is your least favorite feature film?
I guess I would have to say Ratatouille.
8. Which is your least favorite short?
"Tin Toy"
9. Are you looking forward to Brave? Why/why not?
Yes; mostly because I look forward to Pixar films in general. We will probably wait and see it on DVD though.
12. Do you look you for the Pixar staples? (John Ratzenberger in every film, the Pizza Planet Truck, A113) Have you found them/still looking for them all?
I don't make it a focus of watching the films, but it is fun to see them. I'm convinced that Pixar will have to change its name when John Ratzenberger dies because he will have to keep his claim to being in every Pixar film.
13. What are your favorite soundtracks by Pixar?
Finding Nemo, Up, Wall-E, Monsters, Inc. and A Bug's Life
