Oooh, exciting! Casting has started!

Screen name: Charlotte Rose
Age: 15 (playing age 14-16)
Who you are trying out for: Susan
A recent picture of you: http://s1114.photobucket.com/albums/k52 ... adshot.gif
A YouTube (or similar) video of you acting:

(Sorry its a bit odd, but its an audition tape for another audition I had to attend but couldn't)
Any other information you would like us to know: I am a semi-proffesional (Represented) actress. I have been involved in acting for YEARS now and I take acting, singing and dancing lessons (Not that singing and dancing are really necessary for Narnia but you never know which direction a spoof is going to go in :D ?!), I have been in many plays and shows and videos both ameture and proffesional. I have a Childrens university acting certificate, I am doing GCSE Drama and I am working on my expressive arts ASDAN. Plus I just finished a theatre run.

Thank you so much,
Charlotte Rose

I'll make one I guess,
Screen name: wolfloversk
Age: 18
Who you are trying out for: whoever's available, maybe a newscaster?
A recent picture of you: Oi... Um I'll go look for one, but until I find it, I'm a girl, 5' 4'', blue eyes, blond/brown (and really really curly) hair
A YouTube: Ok that I don't have :P (I'll work on that, possibly along with the animation tests?)
Any other information you would like us to know: I've acted for vbs in church for a few years, probably some of the best times in my life, also for various spanish projects (Now some of those were fun :P ) :) I like telling stories, whether it involves following a script or writing one :)

IloveFauns, this is a bit different than most movies because it is a news cast. Whoever is the news anchor speaks, then we cut to 'Lucy' or 'Caspian' or whoever speaking, then we cut back to the news anchor. But you are right, if it were anything else we would need some reeeeeal good software.

I hope I answered you question! If you have any more just post them here and I'll get back with you. :)

P.S. Are you interested in auditioning?

1. Screen name: Ithilwen

2. Age: 20, Almost 21

3. Who you are trying out for: Newscaster, Any female role

4. A recent picture of you: [removed]

5. A YouTube (or similar) video of you acting: I don't have one yet. I was wondering what I was expected to do in the video I submit. Are there any certain lines I'm supposed to say, way I'm supposed to act? Because, really, it makes a difference what roles are available, and how those roles are going to be portrayed in the film. Since they're going to be made funny, they wont be the way the y are in the movie. (Example: The way we thought of making Caspian).

6. Any other information you would like us to know: I look younger than I am, but I have a fairly deep voice. So the looking young part is good for playing a young role, but the deep voice kinda messes that up. :-s That's why I was thinking more of playing the newscaster, since there are no definite rules to looks/sounds. By the way, will there be more than one newscaster?

Ok, I just got a PM about this project asking me about being a composer. I would be very much willing to do this. I can compose music for the finished product if you give me an idea of what tone/mood you'd like. :)

I don't have time to read everything on this topic right now, but I noticed you were discussing editing and blue/green screen (chroma key). I have Final Cut Express, which is a pretty advanced video editing software, and I have a lot of experience in using it. I can do picture-in-picture editing, color correcting, titles and blue/green screen as well if you like. Here is an example of some of my editing work:

Just to give you all a minor update:

I've been working on the scripts, although I'm expeirencing a bit of writer's block at the moment, but nothing severe.

I also decided to try to remedy that by doing an animation test, and I figured, why not try to make an early version of the news logo? So here's a little test logo. Since its a gif animation, I'll link it rather that upload it directly for the benefit of certain members with slow connections ;)

EDIT! Ok it was just pointed out to me that I made a typo... I'll fix it shortly...

Edit 2! I fixed it I also made it spin slower the link above has been replaced.

I've yet to write out my scripts, but I've pretty much got them planned already. Will try to get them written up by tomorrow night at the latest.

Wolf, I like the logo. :)

Riella, I was wondering about that w/ the audition videos. Hmm...maybe we should pick a few lines from the script for each character so that people can make a video of them actually using the lines. That way we could get a feel of what the end result of said person as said character would look like. What do you think? I could pick out a couple of lines from my + your scripts that we have so far to start with. :)

More than one newscaster? Hmm, I'm not sure. I was picturing only one but, of course, everyone's going to write their newscaster differently. Like how yours is very professional/realistic and mine is more...unique. ;)) Maybe we should have at least two.

MinotaurforAslan, your editing is great! And I am thrilled that you will be composer! It's going to be a newscast, so the music will be fairly simple, just maybe a professional sounding news song for when the 'show' starts, then maybe you could do some toned-down/ sort of changed Narnia music for background music? :)

wolfloversk, glad to hear that you're working on your script. :) writers block's no fun, is it? XD The logo is nice!!

Can't wait for them, Booky!
Lucy :)

I was actually thinking we should have multiple newscasters... most news stations have at least two or three anyway...

Maybe we should have four then: one for each script-writer. Would that work out?

I'm only going to suggest something here I'm not telling you what to do or anything but it's better for the for the full script to be done before casting because you never know if and when you'll get the story done. I'm suggesting that we shouldn't be too hasty with getting more than one thing done at the same time. I think concentrate on the script first. ;)
