Interesting! Have you visited Liberty? Have you been to Thomas Road Baptist? I have, lots of times! It's a great church. It's MY church. :D

REALLY?? Then we probably live about 2 and 1/2 hours away from each other! :D
I went to a football game at Liberty last year with my old youth group. I got to look around quite a bit,but not a much as I wanted too. No,unfortunately I've never been to Thomas Road, but I listen to Victory FM every Sunday morning on the way to my church.

LOL,Avra! I'll hopefully be getting my learners in May,so same here. ;))

I don't live in Lynchburg. But I've visited the place a lot. I'm listening to Thomas Road Baptist online right now. :D Victory FM, eh? Nice! My sister lives in Virginia, about 2 hours north of L'burg. :)

PLEASE check out this song called "Immanuel" [3200]. I heard it at Thomas Road on Dec 6. I just can't get enough of this song! [And I love Charles Billingsley! :D]

Refrain:
"No power in heaven or earth can take us away from Your love
No trial or suffering, O God, can take us away from Your love
You're still Immanuel, God with us
You're still Immanuel, God with us"

Lark and Avra: good luck on driving next year! ;) I didn't learn how to drive until I was 23.

I think VDT will be as great as LWW was and can't wait. For other things, I hope the whole economic crisis turns around and this swine flu scare disappears. So yeah 2010 will be different for sure but I think it will be a really good year for everyone.

Agreed, DOE! Especially on VDT and 2010 being different!

I love Charles Billingsley, too! :D I saw him live at the Extrordinary Women's Conference in Roanoke a few months ago.
Thanks for the song! :) I love it!

To keep this post from being too off-topic...
I hope I get my braces off in 2010. It'll be 2 years in June and I'm sooo ready to get rid of them. 8-|

*nudging gently back on topic*

I have several hopes for 2010, but I don't want to go into any details. I know God will be good to us, and that is all that matters! :)

well i hope that help care systems improve around the world. Also dental costs in australia and america are really high and yet in england they get it for free. My mum when to the dentist today and for one thing done to one tooth 5500 dollars.

Well, not free, the prices are 'capped', so the most that can be charged for any treatment is £200, the rest is covered by the NHS. $5500 for one tooth? Wow.

I hope to find the strength to work twice as hard at my art in the coming year and be the best I can be, and that I can finally get an ongoing health problem fully under control (this will help me achieve the first a lot).

There is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in.

This may sound odd, but God's been showing me some stuff in His Word [and other sources] about 2010, or at least this new decade. So what's my new expectation?

1810s: War of 1812. 1910s: WW1, “war to end all wars.” 2010s: [nuclear] WW3? It's something to think about! Since history repeats itself... :-s

Hey, history always has aberrations. It's not like mankind is doomed to repeat some cycle.
That said, I hope no terrorist attacks occur this year. One already almost happened. :(

Here's the rest:
Spiritually- increase the closeness of my relationship with Christ and with my family and friends.
Mentally- finish junior year and get my college application in. Specifically I want to finish my 4th year of Latin and do a unit study on Roumanian, and continue my math studies with Euclid and Pre-Calc.
Physically- eat more fruits and veggies and maybe even exercise a little.

I won't call these expectations, but more just open doors. A lot happened this last week at the 2009 Urbana Convention and I believe God has shown me a direction towards his vision for me. As many of you know, I am a fencer but I have had the privelege of using that sport as a ministry tool (check my YouTube videos under my same username for an example). Well, at Urbana, I was visiting the 300-some mission booths and one was Gospel Trick Shots. This guy (Steve Lillis) is a professional pool player sometimes seen on ESPN for his trick shots. God got a hold of his life and now he only plays pool while pointing towards God at the same time. He does a very similar thing that I do in that with each trick shot he does, he gives a Gospel or life message with it. I do a similar thing with fencing.
So anyway, after I saw his first presentation, I told him about my ministry and his eyes grew wide with glee. Turns out in April, he was down in Phoenix and saw a woman who has an already established fencing ministry, gearing towards special needs children (she has an autistic son). She was looking for help and Steve Lillis had put her on his prayer list. Then I show up. I have already established contact with this gal and she wants to meet me. I have been looking for a sparing partner with as much zeal for the Lord as he/she does for the sport and I have been praying for another piece of the calling I have to work full time in ministry with youth. It was a pure God thing and I know something is going to come out of this contact, even if I don't end up working with her.

Also on my plans for the year, I have a writer's conference to attend in May. I am hoping that at some point this year, I will have a contract with a publisher and on the way to getting my novel onto the shelves of bookstores. But that is all in God's timing and I will wait, even if I don't want to.

I have three semesters to go until graduation so this year, I plan to get all the classes done I can so in Spring '11, I will be in position to graduate and have a clear direction to go after that.

As far as anything else, we'll just wait to see what God has in store for me.

Be watching for the release of my spiritual warfare novel under a new title: "Call to Arms" by OakTara Publishing. A sequel (title TBD) will shortly follow.

I don't expect much because you never know what is gonna happen and even more importantly whats not gonna happen.

I'm hoping by summer I'll do more movies and stuff, I expect to live in Califorina at the end of this year and either go to Columbia or American Academy of Dramatic Arts, try to publish at least one or two of my books this year, and get a great boyfriend that will last and not leave just because of a silly cough lol :D
