I was listening to HHB and I'm pretty sure they (FotF) left out the grand vizier of the talk in the room. They also had fewer animals meet Shasta when he arrived in Narnia. I think it was only the dwarf and the stag. Also, King Lune tells Bree that nothing is wrong with his tail and that talking horse roll all the time, neither of which are in the book.
I don't like Aslan's voice that much either. It is too quiet. I have to turn the volume up and then other parts get too loud.

I love the audio dramas! They're really well done and so much fun to listen to. LB and VotDT are my favorites. The others are great, too, though I don't like the LWW one as much as the others. I'm not really sure why I don't like it. It may be because I bought it first and separate, so I've listened to it more than the rest because I only got the full set about a year ago, but I'm not really sure. It just kind of bothers.
And I agree with the rest of you - I don't like Aslan's voice either. It's okay in some parts, but most of the time it's just irritating. I definitely like Liam Neeson as Aslan better.

That's one of the ones I really noticed. That whole scene I was wondering "Where's the Grand Vizier? Why haven't I heard anything about Rabadash kicking him?" It kind of bothered me a little bit.

I just recently got them for my birthday! I love them! they are awesome! the drama is SO real! I was just listening to LB and I was so caught up in the action, that I was reacting to the danger along with the characters!
I really like how Douglas Gresham tells little known facts about the stories and C.S. Lewis in the beggining and end of each story!

I love those CDs- they are what made me interested in Narnia.
whenever I sleep over at GTG's house, her sisters put the CDs on to fall asleep to! most of the time I lay awake, listening to the story!

I love these! I got them for my birthday a couple of years ago and still listen to them pretty often! My favorites are the H&HB (also my favorite book) and the LB. I feel like all of the voice-acting is spot-on, except for Aslan.

why doesn't anyone like Aslan? I thought he was great! When I first watched LWW I didn't like Liam Neeson b/c he didn't sound like the audio drama guy Now I like him better, but whoever does Aslan's voice on the radio drama is really good too!
I don't really like Aslan's voice in the audio dramas! it's too drawn out and over dramatic! but the rest of the cast does a stellar job!

Is the Focus on the Family Narnia Radio drama the same as the BBC Narnia radio drama, or is it different? I've got the BBC version of the Narnia stories (Brian Sibley), which I often listen to whilst travelling to work etc.
What is really well done in that series are the voices for Tash in LB, Eustace's dragon voice in VDT, and the way they did the Spell Book, also in VDT. I'm not so fond of Dr Cornelius in PC. The bloke who does him seems to talk in one long rushed and slightly monotonous read. Otherwise I enjoy the series very much, in particular, HHB. By the way, the Grand Vizier did get left out somewhat, though I can't imagine how anyone would 'do' his voice.

They're not the same. I actually have not heard the BBC ones, but I would like to sometime.
I think the BBC ones are the ones that are read by only one person.....
my favorite Focus On The Family radio drama is VotDT and my second favorite is HHB!

I just recently got all the CDs. Should I listen to them in any particular order? Or is it merely personal preference like the books? In what order were they published? Will I miss much if I skip one CD? Or is it so much like the books, it won't matter? Will I be able to tell who is who right away? Or do they introduce the story and characters?

I listened to them a while ago on cassette.
I do not recall Aslan's voice. All I remember was that Aravis got a good voice- perfectly good for a 14 year old girl, and neither too tough or too girl. Fit her personality very well.
I did buy the books on CD recently since they were on sale, but have not been able to listen to them yet.

I think they were originally done in what is considered the chronological order:MN, LWW, HHB, PC, VDT, SC, LB. They are a lot like the books so it won't matter much if you skip, but it's like skipping several chapters and if you haven't heard them before it could be confusing. The characters aren't introduced, but they're voices are easy to follow. The Pevensies voices especially are all different from each other so it's easy to tell them apart right away.
The first time I would listen to them in the right order. Once you're familiar with everyone's voices you can skip around...
