I personally read the Chronicles of Narnia in publication order before there ever was a chronological order. And even back then, I remember thinking that the books were in the wrong order. It makes for a lot of confusion if one is jumping back and forth between the Narnian timeline. Yes, the HHB reference in SC sticks out, but thats only because CS Lewis never got the chance to re-edit the chronicles to ultimately print them chronological order. I endorse reading the books in chronological order.
your fellow Telmarine
glumPuddle, you make a good argument!
Though, I have to admit that I like the "HarperCollin's Order", because isn't that the order recommended by C. S. Lewis himself???
Day of Wrath, that day of burning,
Seer and Sibyl speak concerning,
All the world to ashes turning.
