They are well written. They are very engaging to people of all ages. They are easy to understand without being dumbed down or condescending. And though they have a Christian slant, anyone of any background can read and enjoy them.

The setting of each scene is so naturally and easily woven into the story that you can picture exactly what is going on in your head - who really needs the movies?

Each story is different and exciting in its own way; no boring recycled plot points or over-used ideas.

The characters are believable and relatable. Flawed, but we still care about them.

The Chronicles of Narnia are so well written and descriptive that they are a joy to read. The stories draw you in, rich and detailed. Who wouldn't want to be swept out of humdrum daily life and away to a magical world - a world of talking animals and walking trees - and become the hero or heroine of a great adventure?

I think it's because Lewis wrote them in such a way that anyone from 4 to 93 can read them and understand them and enjoy them!
I read LWW for the first time when I was five years old and from the first page the story pulled me into it's pages! it's poetry

what makes Narnia good is mostly I think about the happenings in it. Like a child entering another world, then realizes that she can save Narnia.. or the characters like talking beasts, centaurs, minotaurs, and especially, a Lion named Aslan that guides them all.

C.S. Lewis is a very gifted writer, really. I didn't even think of those kinds of stories until he wrote them which really enhances our imagination by reading his great works, especially The Chronicles of Narnia.

I agree. It really is a great masterpiece of Lewis. He is a great writer, and a very creative thinker of stories.

I think too what makes Narnia great is what the magic and enchanting things it does when you hear the name.
