Aslan I wouldn't have chosen him as a favorite when I was younger but lately I have realized how much his character means to me, he is either in my favorite scenes in the books or, if not present himself, he is being discussed by the characters who are.

Lucy Another character who has worked her way into my heart. As a young girl I thought she was boring compared to Jill or Aravis but as an adult Lucy is the character I most want to emulate. Her faith in Aslan and the love she proffers to everyone she meets are truly inspiring.

Edmund He went from being a treacherous, spiteful, lying boy to King Edmund the Just. His love for and trust in Aslan was second only to Lucy's and I have always appreciated how he never forgot the sacrifice Aslan made for him.

Peter The older brother I wished I had as a child and the sort of leader I most admire. I've always wished he had been in more of the books.

Jill Feisty, flawed, feminine. The girl character I related to the most when young (except for her head for heights, I'm with Eustace on that!)

Puddleglum His unrelenting pessimism makes me smile but his display of moral and physical courage against the Emerald Witch will always be one of my favorite scenes in the series.

Reepicheep I love his quickness to forgive Eustace, the courage he shows on every occasion, and the loyalty he inspires in others. Perhaps my 4 year old nephew sums it up best: 'Reepicheep is a great friend.' And one I would love to have.

Trumpkin Despite not believing in Aslan or the ancient kings and queens he volunteered for a dangerous journey that had the end goal of meeting the one or the others and in the end met them all. Also, he makes me laugh.

Hwin Her gentle nature has long ensured her a place as one of my favorite Narnians.

Jewel His unwavering belief in Aslan, despite never having seen him, the kindness he showed Puzzle, and his loyalty to Tirian. Who doesn't love a courteous unicorn?

"I'm on Aslan's side even if there isn't any Aslan to lead it. I'm going to live as like a Narnian as I can even if there isn't any Narnia." ~ Puddleglum, The Silver Chair by C.S. Lewis
