I'm really surprised no one has replied to this yet! I discuss this discrepancy in my report on the four recent movie reviews. And I give links, details, and a photo from a movie tie-in book to explain why I think Robert Velarde is wrong.

"David Vallon was cast in this role last August and was interviewed about the role the following month. IMDb validates this cast listing. Of course, they’re not a completely accurate site, but the Narnia blogs certainly are! Plus, we have behind the scenes photos of Vallon as Gumpas. That's very odd... Maybe it's just a mistake? I hope so. I would feel bad for the actor to do all that work, and think his character is important, only to discover he's not in it at all....

Maybe he is in the film but not where the person expected to see him? We shall see in December!

There's also a thread about this (Gov Gumpas) in the cast/characters section of the forum [see the link below]. I think we need one thread to discuss Gumpas, not two. But he fits both characters and rumors. lol

Wow, that would be weird if Gumpas was not in the movie.....I hope that he is!

Looking at it now, of course Gumpas will be in the movie. In the 4th trailer, it clearly shows Reepicheep fighting him. They wouldn't waste money on expensive CGI shots for scenes they were going to cut (remember the castle dance scene in LWW).
