Here is one of many "songs" about Narnia that I have written. Unfortunately I only have lyrics. I'm not that great with writing the music. But when I do, I'll be sure to post it!

“Lion Untame”

This song was inspired by C.S. Lewis’s Chronicles of Narnia. There’s a part where the book describes how each of the four children feel at the sound of Aslan’s name.

At the sound of Your name
Delicious music fills my soul
At the sound of Your name
I feel adventurous and brave
At the sound of Your name
I stand in mysterious fear and awe
At the sound of Your name
The holidays have finally come

You are a Lion untame
I am shaken by the power of Your name
There is mystery I’ve never understood
But I know You are good, You are good

At the sound of Your name
There is strength to fight battles
At the sound of Your name
There’s the power to believe
At the sound of Your name
There’s a chance to be forgiven
At the sound of Your name
There’s a faith like children

Repeat chorus

You have done
What I never could
In Your eyes I see
Mystery I’ve never understood
And I know You aren’t safe
But You are good, You are good

Repeat chorus

That was my 1st Narnia song ever. I'd love to what you think!

I really love it!

The whole thing is just really great. Sorry, I just can't put into words right now the feelings and images it brings up. Well done, Wunder!

Oh, and I was just playing around... but I thought of some ideas of how to sing it. Now, if only I knew how to play guitar and make videos, I could share it with you... (maybe someday I could sing it for you over the phone or something)

Anyway, I can't wait to read more of your songs! :D

Thanks, Princess Anna! I'd love to hear any ideas you have once you can figure out how to share it. :D

Here's another one.

“We’re Not Heroes”

Written from Peter's perspective.

I feel like I’m playin’ tug o’ war
My hands are bleedin’ and raw
The pain’s beggin’ me to let go
And I can’t hold on anymore, anymore

You’ve made a mistake
We’re not heroes
We’re just barely makin’ through
It can’t be
We’re not heroes
I feel like I’m failin’
In all I do
In all I do

I’m thrust into battle to lead
Will I lead to victory?
The enemy’s already gloating
Is this what my people need,
What they need?

Repeat chorus

But when I hear You roar
I am shaken to the core
No longer afraid anymore
I will spread the wings You gave and soar

We’re not heroes
Oh, no
We’re not heroes
Oh, no
We’re not heroes
Oh, no
But You are

I love “Lion Untame” - I could almost hear the music. The lyrics are very powerful. Hopefully one day we'll get to see/hear a video of it! :) I'll definitely keep watching this thread to see what you write next.

Thanks for all the comments everyone!

Here's one from Susan's perspective. This shows the transition from when she believed in Narnia and Aslan to when she became more interested in being "grown-up" and turned her back on Narnia and Aslan.

“Shadowlands”

Led into another world
By a mere child
I’m shiverin’ in the cold winter snow
My mind says “It’s impossible!” “It can’t be true!”
This is beyond what I know

The life I live is all I know
But You’re sayin’ life on earth is a shadow
This believin’ takes more than I think I have
You’re askin’ me to leave to new lands
Away from the Shadowlands

Tryin’ to be logical
In a place of fantasy
‘Cuz there’s no way this place can be real
But my heart’s tellin’ me
That I’m in reality
What’s this I feel

Repeat chorus

When I see You with my own eyes
Somehow I can believe
All my doubts are washed away
Here I will stay, I will stay

The life I live is all I know
Now I believe life on earth is just a shadow
This believin’ has come ‘cuz of You
I’m headed to new lands
Away from the Shadowlands

Growin’ older as fast as I can
Leavin’ my childhood faith
I’ve replaced faith with my reality—the Shadowlands
But now everything I’ve ever known here on earth is gone
And I wished I still believed
‘Cuz the life I lead has left me nothing in hand
I’m still in the Shadowlands

I would love to know what y'all think!

Thanks again for the comments!

@eustacegirl: This next one is from Ed's point of view.

“It Is Finished”

This is Edmund's story from LWW.

There is a traitor in our midst
I have betrayed my family, my friends
Now the Enemy comes
And I am undone
Who will save me?
The Law demands a Sacrifice
It’s such a high price to pay
Is it finished?

But the Lion steps forward
He confronts the Enemy
Oh, the endless wait
It might be too late
Who will save me?
I’m goin’ down the path I’ve paved
Will someone come and save me?
Is it finished?

The moment has arrived
The long awaited news proclaimed
I hold my breath
Is this my death?
Who will save me?
The Enemy forfeited claim
I don’t feel the pain anymore
But is it finished?

He walked toward the altar
Becoming my Substitute—the Sacrifice
He took my place
Tears stream down my face
Who will save Him?
The Enemy holds the knife
And will take His life away
Is it finished?

But the sacrificial altar broke in two
The sky grows brighter
The light shines through
When Someone perfect
Takes the guilty’s place
The sinners are freed
Death has lost the race
Death’s workin’ backwards
He’s alive again
Now it is finished

CC and C always appreciated!

Here is another one.

"Something Beckons"

This is from Reepicheep's point of view.

It’s in my blood
It’s in my dreams
I’ve always known
I was destined for greater things
And though I’ve sailed the seven seas
Something beckons

From the cradle
Until this very time
The curious melody
Has consumed my mind
And I’m searching to find
Something beckons

So I journey
On this daring quest
I will continue on
Without respite, without rest
Until I fulfill the prophecy, this request
Something beckons

I’m willing to leave the world behind
I’m willing to leave all other dreams of mine
Until the end of the world I find
Something beckons
Something beckons
Something beckons

CC and C is always appreciated!

Wow, Wunder! I never knew you had such talent!
I absolutely loved the first one...after reading it a few times, I just had to sing it. So I arranged a few guitar chords to play along with it...and the words were so powerful. Thank you so much for sharing! :)

And I really like your latest Reepicheep poem. You're really good at getting inside the character's heads. :)

Thanks, pogginfan! I'm glad you liked them!

“Would You Believe Me?”

This is about the change that happened in Eustace.

If I were to tell you
Who I used to be
Would you believe me?
This isn’t my imagination
This is reality
Would you believe me?

If I told you no one liked me
If I told you they were all afraid
If I told you I was called a bully
Would you believe me?

If I were to tell you
Who I used to be
Would you believe me?
This isn’t my imagination
This is reality
Would you believe me?

If I told you I traveled to lands new
If I told you I was a dragon transformed
If I told you all I’ve said is true
Would you believe me?

If I were to tell you
Who I used to be
Would you believe me?
This isn’t my imagination
This is reality
Would you believe me?

If I told you this somehow made me change
If I told you it was a lion that appeared
If I told you He made my life rearrange
Would you believe me?

You may think it’s too good to be true
You may think I’m not telling the truth
But I know what I’ve seen and heard
You’ve got to take me at my word
Do you believe me?

CC and C always appreciated.

This is Aslan speaking to Lucy.

“Valiant One”

It’s hard to stand
When no one believes you
It’s hard to trust
When they think you’re not telling the truth
Though the world cave in, don’t be undone
Be strong, O valiant one

Be strong, O valiant one
Fear not, O courageous one
For He is with you, dear one
Stand strong, O valiant one

It’s hard to be brave
When all around you, they’re shaking with fear
It’s hard to find your way
When the road’s not clear
Though it seems everything has just begun
Be strong, O valiant one

Repeat chorus

It seems it’s true
The King has died
Does no one
See the tears you’ve cried

But dear one
He has risen again
Death’s gone backwards
Life will never end

Have faith in Him
For soon He will come
Be strong, stay strong
O valiant one
