Hello everyone!
I've been rather fascinated lately with Susan's story--especially how the self-centered, frivolous life she ends up leading in England seems to be an attempt to recreate an echo (however shallow) of her life as a Narnian queen. So here's two variations on a wallpaper; lyrics from Sometimes You Can Forget Who You Are by FM Static and the lovely song Shattered by Trading Yesterday.
Comments and CC are wonderful!

Good work, Mal! I really like the concept! The textures are beautiful, and the text fits really well.
Something that could be improved on is that the left image of Susan has more warm tones. The right image has cooler tones. It gives the wallpaper a less unified effect. Then and again, that may have been what you were going for!
I like the second best, but I like the red dots of light texture from the first.
"Let the music cast its spell,
give the atmosphere a chance.
Simply follow where I lead;
let me teach you how to dance."
lol, I thought the first one had a more unified look, but other than that, I agree with sweeet. I think the reason why I think the first one is more unified is because the lighting (daytime) of the forward picture doesn't seem as obvious. Would it be possible to request a version of both of these in a full widescreen?

*Gasp* I Love FM Static! They're awesome!
Nice wallpaper. I like both the quotes! I like the editing job on the pictures, I also really like the fonts you chose. Very nice!

Holy cow Malkah!!! I love these!! Espeically the FM Static one, 'cause they're one of my fav bands ever!! Those lyrics are so true though. Susan did forget who she was. But, I choose to believe she reformed herself and learned to believe in Narnia and Aslan again. After all, her story didn't end with the Last Battle like her siblings' did. She still had her whole life to live. Sometimes I wish Lewis was able to give us the rest of her story.
A superb pair of wps malkah. The concept is just fantastic and you have chosen the perfect imagery and text to match. The blending of imagery is flawless. Design and layout look good on both pieces. I personally prefer the second wp. The "scratch" texture and contrasted (in overall lighting as well) look to it just really pushes the concept of Susan's story a bit more for me than that of the effects on the first wp. It gives a more "edgy" feel, if that makes sense. Text works well on both wps (in design, layout, coloration, and font choices). Wow. I still cannot get over how amazingly you have paired up concept with text and imagery, it all works so perfectly together. Nice work on both .

Thank you all for the comments!
Sweeet and Lady Arwen, thanks for the CC! I definitely see what you're saying about the coloring. I was going for a rather jarring contrast between warm and cool, but it is a bit abrupt. It might have been better to blend/fade the right image in a bit more...
Would it be possible to request a version of both of these in a full widescreen?
I'd be happy to try! Do you need a 1440x900 or a 1920x1200?
LadyGrace, thanks for commenting! FM Static does have some great songs!

I do think she eventually came back as well. Once a King or Queen of Narnia, always a King or Queen!
Sometimes I wonder if he didn't give us the rest because in a way, Susan's story is our story. Her ending is open because our ending is open. Will she, and we, follow Aslan or forget Him?
Lion's Emblem, thanks so much for your wonderful comment!

Those are amazing! i hadn't really thought about Susan trying to 'recreate' her life as a queen but that makes a lot of sense. Both wallies are lovely. The text really fits both and the blending and colors are pefect. I also think you chose really good pictures. Beautiful job
