Oh yes I LOVE it! Wonderful words...font... I really like that picture of Edmund and the complexity and flow of the layers. Well done!

One thing though, how is the word "mirror" related? Plus I see no sheild in this picture although the words is there... The words you used just don't seem to make total sense to me but I love the font.

It's a song called Viva La Vida. Whenever those three words come about in the song I always think of Edmund.

In a way he's the mirror opposite of his brother, Peter. He's a "sword" in the way he defends Narnia. And he's a shield in the way he protects his brother and his country. It might have been a far cry of logic, but I hope you followed

By the way, after listening to the song I was like, "Oh my stars yes!" That song fits Edmund PERFECTLY. That is such a meaningful great song that has so many similarities to Narnia- both obvious and hidden just under the surface. Now your wallpaper makes perfect beutiful sense to me. Well, let's see here, as for your first question, it is Angelic Wars font.
As for your second question, I used your trick of duplicating the layer, setting it to bur , and putting a light colored texture between. Then I flattened, created a new layer, colored the new layer a dark, dark blue set it to screen. Duplicated the blue layer twice, setting the top one to subtract,then added a bright red layer, set it to value at about ten percent, duplicated it and set it to color at about 6 percent. I may have done a little more, I don't remember, but that's the gist

Nice wp violetfirekrazed, simple, but effective. Overall design and layout look good. The lighting effect in the BG really helps and adds visual interest in the way that the image of Edmund has been placed in the very center. Also, it adds a nice visual variety and flow (because the main text and Edmund have been placed perpindicular to each other, there's a nice change with the path of the lighting. I hope that makes sense). I really like how you have all of Edmund's titles placed as text to make up the BG image (over the map of Narnia as well?! That's a nice subtle touch that I didn't even notice until just now). The coloration here also works really well, it's not too overpowering or distracting, allowing the focus to be on the text and imagery. Like StarAsterisk, I didn't quite get the connection with the "mirror" text, but your explanation does bring new insight to the piece. Nice work (will there be more?)

I like it! The colour and glow goes well together, and the medieval text is AWESOME!
