This thread will contain my Narnia inspired poetry, song lyrics, and perhaps the occassional illustration or two.
Comments and CC are forever welcome.
Now to start:
After the first battle of Beruna, some of the witch's wolves fled. But one young she-wolf turned to Aslan for forgiveness.
Redemption of the Wolf
I see the lion as he approaches me.
As I come to meet him, I pray he hears my plea.
“Dear lion, my heart is dark with pain and regret.
I survived the battle and for miles I fled.
The witch threatened, tempted me, so with her I fought.
She lied and cast a spell; to fear you I was taught.
But I now know that she was evil and you good.
I’d go back and change the past if only I could.
I’ve been a traitor; I stung your heart like a tack.
But now the name of the wolf has been etched in black.
I pray you forgive us, Great One, let us roam free.
Could your heart have a small place preserved just for me?
If it does then I ask for no treasure except,
Mercy for my brethren, so that they may know you yet.”
I ended my prayer and the lion said to me,
“Fear not dear one I have heard your desperate plea.
Forgiven are you and blessed with a great destiny,
As a guide for your people, to lead them to me.”

Sorry it's taken me a while, but I've been busy with college and a series of stories I'm writing.
Anyway there has been a lot of talk around the forum about the themes of VDT and then someone, I'm afraid I can't remeber who at the moment, pointed out that the themes of VDT will be different for different people, it all depends on their personality and life experiences and what they connect to the most with the book. So that got me thinking, and then I realized that really the themes in VDT that stuck out to me the most stuck out to me throughout the series. It wasn't a question of what VDT meant to me, but what Narnia as a whole meant to me. I try to answer that question with this poem.
What Narnia Means to Me
What does Narnia mean to me?
It’s an adventure waiting beyond the next door,
A journey to sail across the beautiful sea,
A battle for freedom that is worth fighting for,
What does Narnia mean to me?
To be a servant to the highest king of all,
To see this world from the beginning to the end,
Gorgeous sights and sounds like a frozen waterfall.
What does Narnia mean to me?
It is a wondrous journey to my destiny,
A chance to change the world around me,
A test of character, honor, courage, and faith.
What does Narnia mean to me?
A mystery left unsolved, but oh I must believe,
A reflection of a mystery in my own life,
Was it a dream or was it a reality?
What does Narnia mean to me?
Something bigger than myself calling out to me,
Something magical making me feel truly alive,
Something in the air I breathe, watching over me.
What does Narnia mean to me?
A chance for redemption, and a leap of faith,
A new beginning, a new meaning in my life,
A chance to be free, that’s my belief.
What does Narnia mean to me?
A fantasy that echoes my reality,
A crystal clear reflection of my own life,
This is what the world of Narnia means to me.

Hey Wolfy,
I loved the flow of your poem. I could vision everything that you were saying. Another fine effort.

Thank you all for the comments.
I've actually been working on a song for a few weeks now, but I had an idea for another poem today and ran with it. You remember in VDT, where Reep sits on the prow and in the crows nest-facing longingly toward the east... well this is what might go though his head...
Reepicheep’s Destiny
My eyes upon the rising sun,
My last great journey has begun.
I could taste its sweetness today,
Yet it still seems so far away.
It’s so close; I can feel it now,
In the water splashing my brow.
My destiny is calling me,
To Aslan’s Country I believe.
A song whispered in my ear,
Of a place so far…yet so near.
It echoes loudly in my heart,
Of an adventure I must start.
What might I find? What might I meet?
Answers lie in the Utter-East.

Hey Wolfy,
I really liked the flow of your poem. I could imagine Reepicheep in the crow's nest with a gentle wind brushing his face as he says those words.
Good job on this poem.

Hi, I'm new to the site but I've been a Narnia fan for practically my whole life. It was awesome to stumble across this forum, and the poems you've put up here so far are absolutely beautiful, especially the one about the Redemption of the Wolf. Keep up the great work, and I'm very inspired to start writing poetry again, after so long. =)

Very dramatic. I could see Reep sitting there, and I felt the emotion you described. Well done.

I love the first one! I always felt sad about how wolves were the bad guys, but your poem makes me feel so much better!
