Hey Scribbler,
I really enjoy reading elemental poems about the change of the seasons.
It makes me look forward to the cold nights by the fireplace, drinking hot cider and watching the fires dance to a song known only unto them.
Wonderful poem,

Lucy's thoughts as the DT nears the end of her voyage
Deep Purple
Rich as dark chocolate and deep as the ocean,
Thick as heavy velvet and slow to motion
Fills your lungs with satisfied stings
Slows a frantic mind and gives the soul wings
The taste of heavy sweetness and dreamy sleep
The feeling of leaded eyelids and a secret to keep
From the sunset farthest back, far across the sea
From under the earth where living amethysts be
The scent so unmistakable, yet simply indescribable
The sky feels blue and the wind sounds wild
The ocean is a field of white, we leave our blue stain mark
We've tasted victory and been bitterly stark
The end draws near but we feel more alive, as we never have before
Then when we awoke on dry earth and lived on the shore
Maybe we've only been scratching the surface
Maybe theres Deeper Magic, a deeper purpose
The journey over, our empty hearts made whole
the scent of deep purple sinking into our souls
Our hearts beat steady even at the end
And one last hello with You our Dearest Friend
----
After the Last Battle and all the Narnians are restored in the New Narnia
Its Over Now
Tears and blood had soaked the ground
We thought we'd heard the mournful sound
Of all the world ending and our Love betraying
Our hearts were bending and our souls were aching
But its over now
You came in with glory surround
And now you call us to your side
to never die and forever be alive
Cries sounded from the forests
Every lung sang tears in torrents
Nothing could keep the pain from returning
We fought till we blacked out from burning
But its over now
You came in and we bowed down
And you called your children into the light
You turned over the darkness and erased the night
Its over now
You came in and saved the crown
You restored the kingdom that crashed down
Prosper us in New Peace as we sing out

Nice work on both poems Scribbler. I really liked the imagery on the Deep Purple poem.

The Thing I Most Desperately Want To Remember
Lucy's thoughts as she can't remember that One Story that was so beautiful in the magicians book
So clear
So constant
I shed a silent tear
The moment I knew I lost it
I saw
I heard
I never thought
I would almost forget the word
I read
I lived
But I forgot what it said
In the back of my mind the memory hid
Its there
Its hanging
Its somewhere
Its clanging
Back in the back of my mind
In the place that can't erase with time
Its floating out into space, please catch it as it vaporizes
The tune of this story haunts in many disguises
I know its hidden in the prison of burned memory embers
Its the thing I most desperately want to remember

Sorry, I haven't been keeping this thread up!
The story of the girl that Lucy sees underwater on the VTD
The Fisherdess (spelling is probably wrong, I shouldn't wonder)
Alone again under the sea,
beneath the waters I call my home
Does anyone understand what I've seen
I can't forget Him or my heart will turn to stone
He came to me like a flash of gold
and left a brand on my heart
When He looked at me the ocean lost its cold
And He rebuilt my soul that had fallen apart.
But no one here understands
too proud as they worship false gods
I wish I was not bound to sea and sand
So that I could escape the city of frauds
I wander off with the flock
just to have time alone to speak
with the one who is is my solid Rock
who doesn't leave my heart bleak
"Please send me a sign" I whisper and sigh
"Show me someone who also takes up this fight,"
A shadow is moving and crossing overhead
I tread the ocean floor and my feet feel like lead
It's breaking up the Stillness Sting
What is this beautiful thing?
With its wings of purple and glistening glory
If only I could break from the sea I'd hear the story
A face leans over and peers into the sea
Her eyes scan the water, then look straight at me
She is a fighter,
A wrong-undo-righter
She follows the King just as I have pledged
Our eyes meet as she looks over the edge
Maybe one day when we all live with the king
Maybe one day she and I will have stories and songs to sing
