Wow, been a long time since I've been here! I finally have some free time since the school year started. So here is a poem for you enjoy.

Life with Knowledge

Living life to the absolute fullest,
living on the edge of a cliff,
of the edge of the vastness,
in the collide between a symphony and riff.

When divine meets commonplace,
and the place becomes divine,
My heart runs an unknown race,
and I'm living on the divide.

When doors become sacred,
and halls quiet reminders,
When I lay down my head,
I can see the bright fighters.

All this earth holds can't hold my heart,
Cause where I am is somewhere past our stars,
All I've ever been and will be collides.
Because I've seen the mystery and saw myself in your eyes.

That's beautiful, Scribbler! It sounds so mysterious and mystical. I can't wait to read more of your poetry.

I think my favorite lines are

in the collide between a symphony and riff

and

All this earth holds can't hold my heart,
Cause where I am is somewhere past our stars,
All I've ever been and will be collides.
Because I've seen the mystery and saw myself in your eyes.

Another poem about the gorge! I know, I write on this subject a lot. I just love it!

Put out the Shadows

Waking up after midnight.
The sky turns from black to blue.
Feel like I've been through the worst fight.
I just can't see through
the darkness

Cause the lights and the shadows are distorted
I can barely see my steps but I move toward it
These eyes just weren't made for this,
I know I am wrong and I beg forgiveness,
I can't look myself, I know I dealt the blow
Please put out the shadows.

My faith is growing, like brightness in the sky,
I feel you hold me, my eyes adjusting to the light.
And all the rocks and cliffs around me look like cracks in the pavement
You call me your own and put the shadows out, sent them away
I am yours today, and I will cry your holy shout,
just put the shadows out

Like A Breath

Like a breath it comes, and like a sigh it leaves me
More alive than before
Where is it from, it comes hard and easy
When you walk through the door.

Nothing is the same, yet its all familiar,
receive another name, strangely new yet similar.
Take it all in like a breath,
eternity can last a second,
Take it all in like a breath
Live behind a sunset,
This world leaves you breathless.

Like the tide of the ocean,
like the song of deep emotion,
is the love He brings to motion
redemption and renewal set in
and you breath it in like a breath again

Braveheart

Shaky hands open doors,
Melting snowflakes on the floor,
Big eyes stare into the brightest green,
Sailing on thick Darkness thats never seen
Light.
Battles of the night
Sounds of war at your door
Pounding drums rumble the earth
The song of sorrow and hurt in the
Dark.
Chill creeps up your spine,
When your strength fails cling to mine,
The burden is heavy like the weapon you carry,
Your hands may feel heavy like lead,
Not ready to join the battle, to spread
your wings
Its time now, courage Dearheart
I will not fail you, I will carry you
Its time for bravery
and you will be brave for me
I will give you strength to sing
You're brave Dearheart
You're brave here heart
You're mine and now dear one you're Braveheart

The Symphony on the Breeze

I realize this poem has no rhyme pattern. I wanted it to move like the beautiful chaos of the Creation. This is of course the first breath of Narnia.

Darkness penetrates the ground.
It moves over the vast emptiness.
Black drains every sound.
Not a breath of life stirs within.
Then slowly,
Growing,
Swelling like light in the sky,
A note grows,
And all heaven knows that this is life.
Gold itself,
ripples of gold,
living gold walks over the formless shape.
Singing out
Strong as an ocean wave,
Comes the symphony on the breeze.
At His touch,
the touch of life,
no stone cold gold,
Alive and living
the ground warms
and the air grows sweet
The stars burst out like fireworks singing,
All of the bright skies are ringing,
and the trees spring up swaying and swinging.
Here is the life blood
running through the water,
Life comes from his eyes
and from his song.
It turns the darkness inside out,
and the symphony is soft and loud,
From the greatest throne to the least of these,
Here he comes crusading with a symphony on a breeze.

Hey Scribbler,

I can feel the power of the light breaking through the shadow of darkness with each passing stanza in your poem. Very well written.

The Worst Moment in the History of My Life And the World

*Intense Poem* This is the moment when Farsight the eagle comes to deliver the message to King Tirian

Whispers through the forest came, like water,
water on thirsty ground.
Every soul panted for thirst,
and at the waters edge gathered round.
But our eyes fell as the water drew near,
because it was clear,
the water was tainted with blood.
The blood of our people.
The blood of our love.
My Lungs collapsed within my chest,
My breath screamed without rest,
what is this, my land a stranger to me?
How could He let this be?
They say it is by His very might,
with sharp claws and teeth that he darkens the light,
that he blackens the night.
I take my last stand, and gather my warriors,
my friends, my people.
And now after days of sleepless nights,
and wrestling demons and recovering from blight,
The Messenger soars overhead.
My last hope awakens; the one who was almost dead.
The air is cold, and clammy.
Not a breath fresh wind reaches a cranny.
Everything feels old, like the air is reused.
All things come to an end,
a land is like a fuse.
The sky is gray and cold,
the color has left its cheeks,
they are sunken and gray.
Everything looks dead.
Even the grass withers beneath my feet.
Can we succeed in our war against death itself?
Are our blood tears and sweat in vain?
Is there no life left to gain?
Will this world only feel acidic rain?
The Messenger comes, with darkness on his wings,
and darkness in his eyes.
All my bright hopes and darkest fears are somewhere in the skies.
Like a hurricane wind circling down,
the stale wind stirs as his feet touch the ground.
The words he speak...
My heart is in my head,
my insides are twisted around my rib cage.
My body feels as old as the earth itself.
Everything is tired,
and heavy with sorrow,
there is no tomorrow.
All efforts have failed,
our ships sank and sailed,
to the depths of our fathoms,
and slipped into chasms.
They faded like tears,
that wrinkle pages for years,
like a blade of grass decays,
the World has gone away.
I am sitting by the deathbed of the world.
Let it be written with pen and with ink,
when others face this moment with blood, eyes, and blink,
that this is the worst moment in the History of a life and a world,
that is crashed into the rocks without a word,
and now our tears on this mountain top are unheard.
And now, I'm learning how to let go of my life
and I stare into the deep blankness of the world once alive.

Hey Scribbler,

I really liked the dark tone presented in this poem. One can feel the "end of the beginning" and the fate of Narnia in your words.

Lucy's thoughts as the Dawn Treader sails through to the Dark Island

The Horizon Is Black

Madness is all around me,
and chaos tries to quench my wonder,
but your love is all around me,
and I wont go under.

Invisible arrows almost pierce my mind,
my body has long been weary,
but you hold me inside,
your arms,
your hands,
are stronger,
than my own,
Even in this darkness, Im not alone.

You are where you are,
even when the heavens are thrown down,
When the battles and storms rage
and my spirit reaches dark ground,
you are holding me together,
and I will not fall apart,
and you will not leave me, never
You formed and love and hold my heart

Invisible dark doubt almost pierces my mind,
my mind has long been weary,
but you hold me inside,
your arms,
your hands,
are stronger,
than my own,
Even in this darkness, Im not alone.

Even in the choking darkness that surrounds me,
I will not let go of the promise,
you said you would always be with me,
and I know this, oh I know this,
you keep your word and your arms
your hands,
are stronger than my own constitution,
even in darkness, I'm never alone

Imagine the animals of Narnia after the White Witch has been defeated and the first Autumn comes in again...

The Thankful Autumn

Sharp chill rides on the back of the breeze
Cold dew falls on cold petals to make them freeze
Leaves turn from green to gold
Like a living fire they fight off the cold

Bare limbs follow and leaves are far from dead
They dance on frosty ground and swirl into puddled beds
All of the homes beneath the ground are warm
The lamps are lighted and families weather out the storm

Things are stored and things are saved
Songs rise through the ice and race through the river grave
Autumn is here
Its cold cloudy breath is near
Our hands and feet are cold
but our hearts are far from old
We keep the fire blazing bright
And wait until Autumn turns white
And remember the time when we had not this glory
We settle by the hearth and recall the story...
