"Of Gold and Dragons" (part 5)

Standing and watching quietly at the rail
Waiting for the boys so we can set sail
All at once I see a huge flame
From the middle of the island is where it came

What on earth could it be?
Is that a volcano that we see?
But then we see it flying near
And my heart is filled with fear

A dragon glides toward the mast
A large shadow on us is cast
The archers shoot to no avail
The dragon's claws rip at the sail

Reepicheep saves the day
And in that moment finds a way
To get rid of the mighty beast
But then our troubles far increase

The dragon flies back to the land
And my eyes see movement on the sand
My brother is in danger's way
Oh this is such an awful day

"Of Gold and Dragons" (part 6)

Back at the beach we start to leave
For my cousin I still grieve
I'd been awful to him since he came
And I have only myself to blame

Caspian suddenly yells to me
I'm grabbed by something I can't see
It drags me up into the sky
Faster than I plane we fly

I look and see a Dragon's face
Oh this is such and awful place
It dips it's wings near the ship
Then flies back with me in it's grip

The Dragon sails over the land
It's then I see words in the sand
"I AM EUSTACE" they declare
In my shock I can only stare

Eustace was tempted by the gold
We know this without being told
What are we to do with him?
His future now seems rather dim

We gaze in wonder at the stars
By them we know we've come far
The silence makes me wonder now
If I could find my father somehow

"I miss my mum," Gael says to me
So I try to make her see
"Aslan will help us find her," I say
Through faith in Him we'll find a way

I wake to hear the Dragon cry
It makes me sad to hear him sigh
I tell him that there is still hope
And encourage him that he can cope

When I wake I see a star
It shines blue light from afar
I hope this light will be the guide
To lead me to my mother's side

At last we reach the Star's location
This island is our destination
By the shine of Edmund's light
We make our way through the night

There we find a wondrous sight
A table bathed in the moonlight
But this is still the very least
For on it there is set a feast

On the far end there is a tangle
Something that is white and mangled
On closer look we see three men
And we're on our guard again

But then we see that it's the lords
And on the table we lay the swords
Together they glow a bluish hue
We wonder now what we should do

"Blue Star" (part 2)

The swords glow brighter suddenly
A Star from the sky is broken free
The shining light slowly unfurls
And now before us stands a girl

"Welcome, travelers, I am your guide."
I stare at her as she nears my side
"You are beautiful," I say
In this land I long to stay

But we still have a task ahead
We must all face things we dread
The Star tells us we must go there
Into Dark Island, the Green Mist's lair

We will need great courage
We must not be discouraged
We have to find one last lord
And on this table lay his sword

We approach the island of evil dreams
Where nothing is ever as it seems
Ghosts of things we fear surround us now
We must defeat this horrid Mist somehow

A haunted human voice cries out
In the dark we hear the shout
"Keep away!
You must not stay!"

Edmund shines his light
Into the misty night
A man is on the land
With a sword in his hand

We've found the missing lord
And the seventh sword
But we must get away
Or we'll never see the day

Lord Rhoop tells us, with eyes unblinking
That anything that we've been thinking
Will become real before our eyes
My thoughts are almost our demise

I rush to the Starboard side
From this I know I cannot hide
A serpent rears out of the sea
It's many eyes look straight at me

Panicked, Rhoop grabs for the wheel
And the ship begins to keel
It's up to me to fight this beast
Or this battle will never cease

"It's Only In Your Dreams" (part 3)

Above the darkness, in the sky
On the Dragon's head I fly
We must go down and save our friends
Of for them it will be the end

But Eustace is deathly afraid
If not for me he would have stayed
I tell him it's our destiny
And from it we can never flee

Down into the dark we go
And it's then that we know
Our foe is bigger than we thought
But this fight has become our lot

Eustace flies at the serpent's head
On his face there is no dread
But the serpent opens it's mouth wide
It's then that I am flung aside

That was good, Libby! I look forward to seeing how you finish the scene. My favorite stanza was the first one in part 2!
