Hey Liberty,
I enjoyed reading both of you fine poems. I could vision Aslan's song bringing to life all of creation. Great job,
Wishing you a Merry Christmas,

"Alive"
We watched in shock as you died
And on your face we cried
We thought there was no hope
We didn't know how to cope
But when we walked away
It almost was the next day
A rumble shook the ground
Our hearts jumped at the sound
Oh! Could it be?
Is it really You we see?
Aslan, bathed in light
Now all will be put to right

this is based on a little scene in VotDT movie when Gael says she wants to be like Lucy when she grows up. enjoy!
"Gael and Lucy"
"I want to grow to be like you," said she
For all the while she stared at me
"When you get older, know this is true,
I want you to be just like you."

Hey Liberty,
A short and sweet exchange of words between Gael and Lucy. I liked the simplicity of it all. Nice effort.

Liberty, those poems are fantastic! That Tumnus one is just brilliant. It rhymes so naturally, and the poem flows along. You have a real talent. Great work!
I tried writing a few poems before, but I'm not very good at it.

Sorry I haven't checked out your thread in a while, but to be honest, I haven't even been on this site in a while!
Your poetry is looking great! I love your style, so keep writing more! Do you think you could do a special one for me about Reepicheep? I'd love to see what you can come up with!!
Keep up the good work!
this is for Lyneya
enjoy!
"Reepicheep"
Fur as black as coal
Such a brave soul
With perfect pace
And tail so long
He looks to the East
And sings a song
He's courteous to royalty
But from him many men will flee

Hey Liberty,
I know that Lyneya will be pleased with this poem. It is a good presentation of who Reepicheep really is.
Wonderful poem,

"Tirian"
I sat there in misery
Oh, I wanted to be free
What is happening to my land?
It's becoming more than I can stand
In desperation I cried out
I believe in Aslan without a doubt
I called upon His name
But He never came
But I knew my history
It came to me suddenly
Who had my forebears called upon?
The warrior Children from beyond
I called upon the Kings of old
All their stories I'd been told
Of how they came when need was dire
Their help that night I did require
At once I saw them before me
They gasped and stared hard at me
One demanded me to speak
But the image became weak
I tried to call out Narnia's need
But my voice they did not heed
And then the image went away
I woke to find that it was day
But Aslan did not forget my need
And my cry He did heed
For Jill and Eustace came to me
And from my bonds they set me free

Hey Liberty,
I liked the complexity of Tirian's thoughts in this poem. You continue to impress with your well thought-out poems.

"Digory and Aslan"
I know I have to speak with Him
I am acting on a whim
What if He won't talk to me?
I am scared suddenly
But when I tell him why I'm sad
His words make my heart quite glad
And He sheds tears for my mother
He is a Lion like no other

Hi Libby!
I enjoyed reading the poems you posted in chat last night! I love your poem about Tirian - that's always been one of my favorite scenes in the Chronicles, and I like how your poem delves into his tortured thoughts. Poor Tirian! "Digory and Aslan" is very nice as well, and it makes me glad that Digory plucked up his courage to talk to Aslan.
Keep it up!
