Another installment in my series about Susan's torments with Corin :) This time, they visit the dressmaker and Corin will NOT wear pink! I hope you like it.

Again no reference pictures used except for Susan's face.

Comments are loved! :D

Next up - another scene from a visit to dressmaker's!

Just like your other drawings, this one is very professionally done, but there's still something to laugh about! =)) The shading is lovely, and just the way Corin is standing and glaring at Susan just screams how much he wants to get out of there. Great job, and I'm anticipating your next one (and reading HHB again)! ;)

This is even better than your last one. There's really a sense of interaction between them. :D I love how Corin's toes are turned in; I'm sure I would never have thought of that and it really adds to making the pose convincing.

Other things I love:

  • The shading; it's lovely and soft and the way it fades out around the edges feels natural. If I did that, it'd look like I was being lazy and forgetting that everything casts a shadow[/*3a2fwoth]
  • The bolts of fabric in the background, such a perfect jumble[/*3a2fwoth]
  • The drape of the fabric in Susan's hands[/*3a2fwoth][/list3a2fwoth]

Shastafan, thank you! I'm happy you find it amusing, I was trying to make some humour in it! I'm also glad you like Corin's pose, I was doing my best to express his feelings through it. Thank you very much! After the next scene from a dressmaker's, I'll work on a picture about bath time!

Meltintalle, wow, thanks! Yeah, Susan finally is part of the picture and in direct contact with Corin during the scene. Oh, thaaaanks! I'm so happy you noticed the toes, I love adding more expressiveness to a pose by doing that! Yay! I'm so glad you noticed and liked it! :D Oh, I smudge the shadows with my finger so they look soft :) Thanks, I'm glad you like the fabric bolts, I was worried they'd be UFO - 'unidentified freaky objects', but I'm glad it's clear what they are! Thanks again!

I Love this series of pictures Begine!
Again the shading is wonderful, the way the clothes are drawn are great! :)
I don’t know how you feel about drawing clothes, but I can have the hardest time drawing cloths! :p You did such a great job on them! :D
If you ever wanted to go back to these later on, these would look beautiful colored! :D

hahahaha. That's great. For not using a reference for Susan's face, it looks remarkably like Anna Popplwell :] Great job. I love their expressions, they're very believable. I think you could work some more on their gestures, or capturing the movement of their bodies.
Looks great, good job :]

7chronicles, aw, thank you! Oh, I absolutely love drawing clothes! One of my abslutely favorite parts of drawing humans, I love drawing the dents and folds! :D I'm very happy you like them. Oh, I drew them as sketches, but maaaaybe one day I'll color them :) Thanks for liking them!

dragonseye, thanks! Oh, no, actually I did use reference for Susan's face, that's the only reference I used for the picture. I'm glad you like the expressions. Oh, personally I think their bodies and gestures express all I wanted them to show... Corin is tensed, huffed and defensive, and Susan stoically unfurls some fabric, not minding his rants. By the way, I love your avatar! Amazing idea!!! :D He looks like singing Narnia to life!
