New series!!! :D :D

I'm planning to do all four Pevensies, and possibly a few other major characters (suggestions appreciated!). I don't think I'll do any text in this series ... more focus on the blending and coloring this time.

Let me know what you think -- and if you have any requests for character wallies after I finish the Pevensies. :)

A very good idea! I like the layout, the close-up and the black-and-white effect with the splash of scarlet on the lion I very, very much like the photo of Peter you chose, as well as the cropping of it, the whole graphic is very direct and pointed! I can't wait for the rest of the Pevensies, especially for Susan, since she and Peter are my favorite Pevensies :) I'd also love to see one of Caspian since he's my ultimate favorite Narnia character ever since I read the books as a kid, and the idea of Eustace AnnasStar2010 suggested is great, too. Good job!

This is very lovely work, Tarkheena! I love the simplicity of it; there is no text and that the only standout in the image in the wallpaper is the red crest of Aslan on Peter's shield. Your blending of the two images is stunning as well, especially the overlapping and fading of Aslan's crest over Peter's armor! I particularly love the photograph of Peter that you choose to use in representation of the Pevensies in this series. The black and white effect for the up close shot gives a softer tone to the whole wallpaper. Peter's face looks so gentle, yet noble in this shot. :)

Beautiful job! I look forward to seeing the rest in this series! :)

Nice wp Tarkheena. The overall simplicity of it works well. The blending of imagery looks great. The subtle coloration also works really well and I love how the red on Peter's shield mixed with the overlapping of the imagery has created a very nice light effect to Peter's armor in the foreground (very effective). I also really like how you have cropped the two images and how you have arranged the layout between them. The way the two parts of the chaimaille matchup creates a suerb design element, without becoming a distraction, and makes quite an interesting BG look. Very nice work here. I look forward to seeing more in the series. Nice work on this one .

I really like it. The contrast of black and white and red makes the whole thing very bold. The images are also very clear, and I love that picture of Peter. I think its great. :) I can`t wait to see the other Pevensies and hopefully other characters. Maybe you could do Reepicheep. :p

Wow! I love it, Tarkheena! The simplicity is powerful and would work great as a computer wallpaper! The images you chose are perfect and are great quality too! The blending is nearly flawless! I cannot wait to see the next additions to this series! May I suggest doing a Tumnus one?

Fantastic work! :D

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments!

I've been celebrating Christmas by making the next couple in the series. :D It's so wonderful not to have schoolwork hanging over my head! For once my teachers didn't load me up with homework during the break ... as a result, I can make more pretty graphics! Yay! :D :D/

Can you tell I'm a little hyper right now? Anyway, here's Susan's wallpaper. She was surprisingly difficult. I didn't have much trouble choosing the shot of her face that I wanted, but the background was extremely hard. I wanted to use an object or specific scene that is only Susan's ... but the only things I could think of were her bow and horn. :- And those don't fill up a screen very well.

Let me know what you think of my final choice??? I still can't decide whether I like it or not ...

Edmund's was easy. And I almost felt my throat constrict when I made it ... for some reason it felt very emotional. Not sure why ...

Thanks too for all your suggestions! I'll definitely do some of them! :)

Nice work on the new Susan and Edmund wps Tarkheena. The blending of imagery on both is flawless, especially nice work on getting all the strands of Susan's hair to look right. As for the specifics on the Susan version, overall layout looks good (a nice matchup with the chainmail to reflect that of the version with Peter). It might be a bit more effective to tone down the coloraion on this piece a bit more to match that of the subtle color on the Peter wp (just as a way to connect the series a bit more... ot it could be left alone to stand on its own). In terms of color, I also really like how you have the tip of Susan's arrow prominent (again a nice reflection back to the lion emblem on Peter's shield).

As for the Edmund version, the coloration is simply fantastic. The faded edge to this image works really well as it moves into the areas of black or negative space, very effective visually. I didn't notice it until I took a good look just now, but the lighting on Edmund's face (in the PC image) is superb (how the icy blues of the LWW image flow into the PC image as well). Nice work on the two new additions in this series .

I think you did an absolutely amazing job with these, and I can't wait to see the rest of the series!!

Umm, hmm... lemme think a minute. I do like the Su one, don't get me wrong. But I agree with you that the ones for the boys turned out better. Out of those, I find it hard to pick a favourite. They are both so well done!

I like the colourations (and lack there-of), that you have used. And the picture choices are excellent! :)

I wish I had more to say, but my mind won't work straight. As it is, I saw them a few days ago and meant to comment then. So, you can see why my thoughts are scrambled.. even though I wish I could say more. ;))

But yeah, wonderful job!

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments and advice. You make my season bright. ;)) Here's Lucy, the final Pevensie.

Soooo .... now I'll be working on Caspian, Reepischeep and Eustace. I might also do Tumnus, but that all depends on whether or not I can find a high resolution shot of him. :-

Comments and critisicm are wonderful Christmas presents, just so you know. ;)

Have an incredible Christmas!

I love your works! Edmund's looks great (I just love the White Witch's throne idea, his moment of dark glory, I always love that moment in the film), but somehow I like Susan's better... It's very speaking to the viewer, to put it simply (and cumbersomely ), I love the fading effect on her hair, and the shining golden tip of the arrow is just perfect, attracts the eye, but only after you look at Susan - really great job accentuating her archery skill!

By the way, I have 2 or 3 hi-res pictures of Tumnus, I can PM them to you if you like :)

Oh, would you? I googled Tumnus for a long time, and couldn't find anything. X( It was incredibly frustrating.

And I'm so very glad you like the wallies! Thanks for commenting!
