A new wallpaper from me, but this time in two sizes!!!

I took the images of the display in the photo gallery combined with the poster and turned it into this. There are a few things I should have taken a bit more time with (i.e. making sure the background behind the Lucy picture looked a bit better, but without a mouse, my hands were getting tired. (was using a trackpad).

Starkat, thanks so much for reworking the gruesome banners into something I'd actually enjoy using on my desktop! :D Do you mind?

Really, you've gotten rid of everything unsavory, highlighted the good parts, and tied it all together wonderfully! I really like it.

That's beautiful, Kat! For some reason the "December 10, 2010" doesn't seem to fit, though. Perhaps move the logo up to the center, above the filmstrip and take out those words, or at least swap the logo and the "December 10, 2010"? Good work, overall!

Go for it Adeona. I'll have the wallpaper up on my website soon. I'm hoping to get enough stuff for an update by tomorrow evening. Glad you like it. (I'm one of the people who liked the stand. ;) )

I probably should have picked another font for the December 10, 2010 part. Something a bit less handwriting and maybe a bit more block style.

Wow Kat, I really like it!! I love that you've got the best photos put together and NO WHITE WITCH!! lol

I agree on the look of the font though... Do you think maybe, the Narnia font would work?

Just an idea. :)

I love the creative way in which you used the tiny pictures! And I also love that you happen to have my computer resolution too... It's so hard to find 1366x768 wallpapers! lol Only thing about the size is, I think Photobucket shrunk the 1366 one. It did that to my wallpaper of the same size, and when I look at the image attributes it says it's 1,023x575. :-??

Anyway, thanks for sharing! We don't have enough VDT wallpapers... lol

Oh thank you! Thank you! Thank you for that font link! I love it! I had no idea where to find that font.

For the full size version, since photobucket seems to have shrunk it, check out my website. Link is in my sig. I've got it posted there. I'll be doing laptop and desktop wallpapers now so expect more from me in the 1366x768 range. I don't link the images directly to my website because I have direct linking disabled.

Thanks greenbird.

I may try for a series of filmstrip wallpapers like this. I'd like to do a white version similar to this.

Glad I could help! I like that font. Funny thing is, I've never used it in all of my Narnia wallpapers... :-??

Ah! *downloads* Thank you! Will you be trying a different font sometime, just to see how it looks? :D

Regretfully I did not save the psd file, but I will try others over the course of the series if I do more.

Ooh, I really like this wp starkat. Design and layout look good, simple, but very effective. I especially like the filmstrip motif. Hmm, visually I understand the layout of imagery, but conceptually I feel like there needs to be a couple of tweaks. I completely understand the pattern between the sizing of the imagery (and it does work), but I just can't help but feel that the image of Reepicheep and Ramandu's daughter (is that her?) need to swap places. Notice how on the left you have an image of a character looking to the right (leading the viewer into the piece) and then the image of Peter and Susan looking in the opposite direction to "bookend" the left side of the piece. I would like to see the same on the right, with Ramandu's daughter leading the viewer right while Reepicheep keeps the eye going back into the piece (a second set of "bookends"). Wow, that was quite a mouthful, I hope you followed me on that one. I'm certainly not trying to change your layout (your thoughts on your version of layout would be appreciated for my understanding).

I don't know how much of it you changed, but the coloration on each panel looks fantastic. The strong blues in the two larger images of Caspian and the trio is amazing and really leads into the more subtle blue coloration in the smaller images. The red in Reep's feather connects back nicely to the same coloration in the text. The golden coloration in Aslan's image also connects really well with the blues. Text works well with the overall idea of the piece, nice and simple. A great promotional piece for the film starkat. Nice work .

Ditto. I've had trouble finding wall paper to fit my computers for a while. I just switched to a new laptop in March and all the backgrounds I had adjusted for my old laptop weren't the right size for my new laptop. I've saved it and will be setting in to my background soon. (as soon as I post this message ;)) )
