Here's a wallpaper I've had in my head for awhile and just got around to making it. I love "Daylight Is Coming" by Remedy Drive and wanted to make a Narnia WP. I finally got some inspiration yesterday, and voila!
Comments are love!

Woahhhhhhh that is so amazing!!! You are so clever, I could never come up with a great idea like that! The postcard idea is so cool! I adore Remedy Drive (hence my username) and Daylight is my favorite song by them. I love the coloring on the picture - it's so fresh and wintery! awesome job!

Thanks, y'all!
I had originally wanted to use the whole picture, but it was too pixelly. So instead I thought of using a postcard. I actually used the address that was on the Pevensies' tags in LWW.
Daylight: I wondered if your username came from that song, lol!

Great job, Wunderkind_Lucy!
It's a lovely wallpaper! I love the unique idea of the postcard and those lyrics work great with the whole theme. The fonts are amazing and the picture on the front is very expressive.
My only CC is that I'm not really crazy about the light blue background. I find it a little distracting and personally think it would have an even more amazing effect if you put it on a black background.
It's really a great wallpaper, though!

lon: Yes, I do take requests.
Quinlin: The reason that the background is blue is because I originally had a white background to hide the edges on the stock image of the postcard. When I did the coloring for the WP, it made the background blue, and I never changed it back to white. The black might look better, though.
Thanks for all the compliments!

A truly wonderful WP Wunder!!
I love your attention to detail and the colouring is gorgeous!
My only criticism would be i'd have had the background transparent, but light blue works too.

Nice job!!! I love the postcard idea. Great choice of picture.
Ooh! I love it, Wunder! The picture goes perfectly with the text (I'll have to go check out that song now) and I love the idea of it being a postcard to their mother. The colouring is beautiful as well. Great job!
Sooo creative!!! I really like the postcard idea, especially the way you made it from (I think...or maybe it was to?) Mrs. Pevensie. I never could have came up w/ that. The words really echo the hopeful sentiments of LWW. Nice choice!

That is a lovely wallpaper Wunderkind Lucy but I would like to offer just one small constuctive criticism (if I dare).
This is that the stamp and the place and date of the postmark are wrong. The stamp is marked TRALEE which is in the Republic of Ireland, the date on the stamp is OC 26 08 (October 26th 1908) and the King on the stamp is Edward VII.
If you want to show a British stamp that is more in keeping with the time of LWW, the King on the stamp should be George VI and the date should be 1940. Perhaps a London area postmark would look better as well. I realise postcards with these on aren't exactly easy to obtain (especially in Japan) but the stamp and postmark could be drawn or copied from an image.
If you want to make the postcard actually look as though it's been posted from Narnia then, perhaps, you could design a stamp with Aslan on it.
Apologies for pointing this out to you as your work is far better than anything I could do and, as I say, it is a very good wallpaper and a very good idea and the criticism is definately constructive.
(I'm gonna hate myself for saying all this now. Perhaps I should change my forum name to Mr Picky)

Fair Faun: Actually, the idea was more abstract than realistic. I was originally going for historical accuracy but ended up going for the abstract. I wanted to be more accurate, but it was difficult to find an old postcard and a stamp from that time period that was good quality. I also was thinking of it as the four sending the postcard to their mum while they were at the Professor's house rather than sending it from Narnia. Thanks for the CC though.

Wow that was an awesome idea. Really creative, and it came out nice, too. I especially love the picture you chose.

I love your design, Wunder! The colors work well, and the layout is good. Nice to put the lyrics as the message and logically coming up with the info for the rest. You did wonders with the picture itself, also! You should play around with this concept more often!
